From the Front Desk to the Rain restaurant to the facilities engineer, this hotel has the best staff I have ever experienced. When in the Baltimore area next, we will return to the Sheraton North Baltimore.

*Tried to order room service at 2pm on 3/19/14 was told kitchen was closed & hotel didn't have 24 room service.
*Had to call front desk to get someone to force room service to take my lunch order.
*3/20/14 arrived back at hotel to be told I was checked out of room be mistake. Not only that you housekeeper took it upon herself to pack all my makeup, toiletries & flat iron up by throwing everything away because housekeeping was told I had checkout even though my luggage & laptop were still in room.
*had to call front desk to ask them to replace my items.
*only bright spot was the very helpful & understanding Front Desk agent named Laurie who was able to get the basics so I could brush my teeth etc.

First time to Baltimore, but will be coming back for biz. The hotel's location is great with mall and lots of dining options within walking distance. We drove around city, but liked this location best. Rooms very clean, modern and comfortable. We slept great, and will book here for our next visit.

Good value, comfortable rooms though a bit tired looking. Hallways and room doors need updating and the bathroom, while adequate, is small by current standards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Zuck Staff keeps us returning to this hotel
The hotel is good..staff excellent, housekeeping not great. Never checked for do not disturb sign which disappeared twice! No pen or paper left at telephone. With coffee machine,only offers 2 paper cups, two small milk containers, 2 sweet & low (also 2 sugar packets and 2 tea bags.) If you have some coffee at night, nothing there for AM. One bottle of water left and that's it for entire three day stay. There is one drape that does not cover window completely, and early morning sun streams on to the bed We had lounge access, but nothing there after 10 PM, or in between morning offrings and 5 to 7 offerings. Was able to find one bottle of water. Front desk staff excellent.

The main reason we chose this hotel was to make use of the indoor pool. When we checked in, we were told that it was closed for cleaning but should reopen soon. When it did open later in the evening, however, it was much too cold to be healthy for anyone to use, let alone enjoy. Our 9 year old son went in and stayed about 20 minutes, but the pool was like ice water. We complained to the front desk staff but were just told that because it had just been cleaned, the water wasn't warm yet. If this is true, the pool should have been closed until the water had time to warm up to at least room temperature. We are very unhappy with this and do not plan to stay at this hotel again.

I can understand the parking situation and charge but to get the ticket validated was a hassle. At one point there was such a line at the front desk we were almost late for the function we came for. Seems there should be a better way. Maybe an electronic pass that you use for the time you are there.

I was forced to stay at this hotel since I was coming to Towson for a Goucher reunion and it was very close to the college. I tried to contact the hotel to ask questions and kept getting bounced around in some automated system--no people and no answers about this specific hotel--very discouraging.

We left the room at 6 am returned at 4 pm from an exhausting lacrosse tournament.. Room was not cleaned or stocked with towels(it was 4pm) . Club level room -room was not ever stocked or restocked of drinks or food. I found a worker who stocks the room sitting in a closet on the floor playing on her phone. We ask for some water and it never came. What a disappointment. Parking lot was a pain- machine did not work to get in so attendant handed us a ticket to enter- but we could not exit. We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to help us. It appears that the hotel is very short of staff. Room was beautiful.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the room. It did not meet up to the starwoods standards that I am use to. I asked for a non smoking room, the room had cigarette stains on the furniture the sitting chairs were very warn and not appearing very clean. I was truly disappointed, although the staff was very courteous. I will stay at starwoods facilities but I will not stay there again nor would I recommend the hotel to anyone It really needs a refurbishment done. Thank you

Second time (not much better than first) at this property. I would ONLY recommend this hotel if visiting very Local (ie Towson) businesses, we were visiting Goucher, which is almost a stone's throw away. Otherwise, nothing special, no easy public transit (ie light rail) to Baltimore. Were on concierge level, where diner hors de vours (sic) were delicious, but showed up at least 30 minutes latter than expected. Bathroom vanity base was coming apart. Staff friendly, but not a 5 - expectations were met but definitely not exceeded

The staff here is always friendly and attentive. The beds are very comfortable. The only improvement would be in the bathrooms and internet availability (very slow)

We found all staff--from maids to front desk to other hotel employees to always speak pleasantly and try to help. It was an awesome experience to walk down a hallway and a repairman, maid, desk clerk, bell man, or security smile and speak each time you saw them (even when there was no previous contact with them). Employees seemed to like their jobs and want to help. It was a different experience.
Our only complaint is that we did have our room cleaned during the three days we were there and we did not receive vouchers that we thought we were supposed to get . Where were they? and when do we get them?

Although clean and staff who tried, service left much to be desired. Dining room seemed overwhelmed and was very slow and check in desk repeated mistake several times.

We stayed at the Baltimore North location Feb 15-Feb 19, 2013. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. The sink hot water had to be run for around 5 minutes before the water became hot. The shower hot water wasn't much quicker to reach temerpature. The room temperature never got very warm in spite of the engineer working on the heating system. He also worked on the sink but that didn't improve the drainage when the water was turned on with only a moderate flow. The restaurant was so cold in the mornings that we had to wear our coats on two mornings. Even the service staff was complaining. We have stayed at this location in the past and have had heating and air conditioning problems several times.

I have been staying at the hotel every week for the last 1 month and will continue to do so for the next 2-3 months at least. My only issue has been billing questions and starwood points. Firstly, I have been billed double for a single room service breakfast and this has happened twice. I have tried to contact billing but to no avail. Secondly, I think the hotel agreed to give a 1000 points extra for every stay for a McKinsey employee. I don't see those 1000 points coming regularly on my account for each of my stays. Hopefully this gets fixed. No other issues otherwise. Thanks - Vikram

"Have you stayed with us before?" I was asked at check in."Several times," I replied. This hotel is like an old friend, comfortable and warn and quirky. Try as often as I did I could not raise the temperature in my room on a chilly night. I couldn't for the life of me get an item to print in the business center. Only one of the two in-room coffee packages I used on the first morning was replaced on the second. Vending machines aren't where the signs by the elevators say they are. But my room was large and comfortable: the staff was unfailingly pleasant. I definitely will be back.

I love this hotel. The staff are always courteous from the front desk to the staff assisting in the club room. The rooms are always clean and I can always have a restful evening. I also have rented out conference rooms and it has been a great experience. Thanks Baltimore North, your awesome.

As you can see we were very pleased with our stay, but I wanted to give you some feedback related to other issues. This hotel is located on what used to be part of my college campus and I was there for a 50th reunion. The hotel was the preferred address for everyone, but I would not stay at this Sheraton unless I were going to a college event. However, tho' I had no problems, some of my classmates had a difficult confusing time reserving their rooms - central reservations and the hotel itself did not have info about our reunion! Our class president was given the Presidential Suite for a gathering place for our class, but the communication was very poor and we found the room with cots in it, and then there were no arrangements for snacks and beverages as was expected. We later found that she or someone should have made these arrangements but this had not been clear, so we had no "special" gathering spot as planned. Granted this hotel does a big business in weddings and conferences so was very busy, but our very large group of hotel guests might have been "handled" with more acknowledgement and use of hotel resources - especially as at least one of the large classes arranged for a dinner at your facility, and almost all of us from Goucher College stayed at your hotel. Also, the housekeeping staff were very nice, but you need more: our room on Saturday, one of 4 nights we stayed, was never made up. To end on a positive note, though, many of our attendees really appreciated the shuttle service you provided to and from the college - it is an essential for this setting and clientele!

The buffet breakfast was just terrible, I had to send it back and order off the menu and that was not much better. The service was very poor, the waitresses spent all their time laughing and fooling around at the check in booth instead of on the customers waiting for food. My husband had to finally get up and ask where my food was; it was well over a 20 minute wait just for eggs over easy with toast. The next morning we were guest of the wedding party and arrived at 8:35 and they were out of coffee! How can that happen? Would definitely look elsewhere if we visited again.

Hotel chares $9 per day to self park. Parking system is so antiquated and inconvenient, I'm surprised they take $9 in good conscience. System requies you to get your parking ticket stamped each and everytime you leave the hotel during your stay. Keep in mind, there is noone dedicated to this, you are competing with people checking in and out of the hotel. In addition, parking garage is shared and I felt I was the last priority always,convenient spots often blocked, so aim high and away. Room A/C was set on 64 degrees and at no time did the room reach 70...needs upgrade.

In a August 2012 stay at the hotel the room temperature was too cold and couldn't be adjusted. We set the thermostat to 70 deg. The fan cycled between the loud high speed and low all night but the temperature didn't go up. The engineer came to service it and said that the default setting had been changed from 72 to 68 deg and at 68 the fan would remain on low speed and wouldn't cycle to high speed. He said all the room thermostats defaulted to 68 deg and there was no way to increase the room temperature. So there was no point in switching rooms during our six day stay.

While many establishments claim a friendly and engaged Staff, the folks at Sheraton actually deliver.
Without exception everyone went out of their way to make sure things were going the right way.
Ernie at the Front Desk is emblematic of this level of service when he resolved some check in problems (not Sheraton's fault) I had.
I'm looking forward to my next stay.

Pool was not available for morning swim workout. Elevator we're not working. Next door people woke us up at 5:50 with loud talking non stop for hour. We were not told about the hospitality room at check in since we are gold members. Location was convenient for our Hopkins reunion
