Rated 5 out of 5 by Great but... I enjoyed my stay there however when I checked my bank account. I was not aware of a $75 hold. Nothing was said when I checked in nor when I checked out. I called to ask what was I paying for and she responded saying it was a hold and would be back on your card in 72 hours. Well here it is Tuesday and I checked out Saturday morning and I still don't have my money back into my account. Other than not being informed of a $75 hold the stay was great. August 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Busted Pipe, No Problem I was staying at this hotel on Nov 30 - Dec 2 for the Frequent Traveler University. On Saturday morning, there was a broken pipe outside the hotel so the hotel had no running water for 6+ hours. The management and GM were very honest and explained that they were working on problem and had it finished before Saturday night. The whole staff and bar tenders were all very friendly and professional. I loved the view outside my hotel of the LAX runway. December 5, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very convenient to LAX airport We needed a hotel for an overnight stay and the Sheraton was convenient and reasonably priced. The staff were very accommodating and took care of our requests of an early check in, wake up call and refrigerator in the room, even some milk for our breakfast since we needed to leave at 5.30am for an early flight to the east coast. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the room which was back to working order late in the afternoon. November 7, 2013

From beginning to end I felt welcomed,and well taken care of.The hotel staff went out of their way to assist me when needed.My room was selected according to my specific needs and was very comfortable.The location is fantastic as it it central to lots of activities,offers shuttle services,and is closed by the airport at the same time.I stayed at this hotel on three different occasions,for different purposes and I have always been well 'served' ! Rated 5 out of 5 by great stay this ws my second stay at this hotel and it was just as pleasant as the first. I enjoyed the proximity to the airport and also to the freeways. the food was good but not worth the price. room service for 3 people was 150. dinner at Philipe for 3 people was 75. that would be my only complaint. My son did enjoy the pool. The parking is a little strange but it was reasonably priced. April 22, 2014

I hope that hotel management appreciates the excellent work that they do. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Los Angeles. I would recommend it to my friends and family. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Service Stayed here for one night on June 9 and was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Great service at the front counter by Richard I think. He upgraded us to a suite and my family loved the room. The self parking was cheaper here than anywhere else that I stayed at over the 14 days that I was on holidays which was a surprise considering it an airport hotel. Loved the full Starbucks service in the hotel, very friendly & convenient! June 21, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice hotel and friendly staff My wife and I stayed here for one night as a date night getaway. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and the room was comfortable. The room was very quiet even though you are right next to the LAX landing approach. We had a light dinner in the lounge that was reasonable and the buffet breakfast was quite good. I would recommend this hotel for business stays and getaways. Hotel is close to the South Bay and the Marina Del Rey. May 1, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel is convenient to airport Convenient & easy to get to/from hotel and the airport. Walking distance to multiple restaurants. The hotel & SPG disappointed me by not having my confirmed room ready... even after I personally contacted the hotel and SPG before my morning arrival after long flight from Australia. I even reserved the room for the previous day to ensure it would be available. That's why staff got low score for meeting my needs. March 13, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice hotel near LAX I stayed only one night following a week of meetings elsewhere in CA, to catch an early flight home the next morning. The front desk staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. They upgraded me to a corner suite (due to my platinum status). I wish I was staying longer to really enjoy the room and the other hotel facilities. I will definitely return to this hotel when my travels take me near Los Angeles. Keep up the great work. Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Staff AND comfortable beds!! The Staff and phone support for this Sheraton was FANTASTIC! We were in the midst of a travel experience I am calling "a series of unfortunate events" including cancelled flights hotels booked for us in the wrong city all kinds of errors. The Sheraton reservations phone team stayed on the phone with me until I got onto the shuttle. Then Adrienne at the front desk took care of every little detail we needed to allow us to recover! Rated 5 out of 5 by BEAUTIFUL HOTEL RIGHT BY LAX This is my hotel of choice when I fly into LAX. ROOM: The room was a cool corner suite. It was huge. Thank you for the upgrade. CHECK IN: I want to thank SAMANTHA for being very sweet and courteous. She made the process smooth and effortless. FOOD: Paparrazzi has good food and has a lively atmosphere. OVERALL: This is a great hotel for LAX stays. The staff is very friendly. and I recommend this hotel for LAX stays. February 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK, but not impressive Had to go back three time to reception to: -ask for access info to internet connection, which was included in the price. -ask for a remote control to the TV, it was not in the room. -ask for cupons for breakfirst, which was also included in the price. The promised 'high speed internet connection' was disappointing; only max. 0.5 mbit down (receive), 0.25 mbit up (send). Mesured it daily throughout my 9 days stay at the hotel. May 9, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by No wake up call Had an early morning flight so to ensure i got up in time in case my mobile failed i requested a morning wake up call, the hotel staff recorded my details yet failed to ring me at 4am and my mobile unfortunately had lost battery. The response i got was who did i place the call with and that they apologise for the inconvenience...this inadequate response resulted in return flight to london being lost March 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Service I stayed overnight after moving from another hotel in LA that was not quite what I was looking for. When I arrived I was greeted so sincerely by the man on the front desk (I believe his name is Rudy) he helped me with my bags, with what to see whilst I was in the area and with airport information. I was on the club room level, the room was large and beautifully appointed. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again January 16, 2013

It's close to the Airport, with free wifi, breakfast & shuttle bus services; quiet room with comfortable bedding; lovely food from the Restaurants; front desk staff (especially Juan and Jonathan) offer great service as an SPG member. I also received prompt attention from UK and esp.Singapore Office. It could do with refurbishment, which will be undertaken soon. March 19, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs improvement The room was average; sadly, there was a problem with the toilet. A slow flush is not ever acceptable in a basic hotel room. The service did not correct the issue. I am glad the toilet did not overflow. The parking was awful. It should have been clear at booking that there is absolutely no self-parking. I was shocked that I had to park at a lot behind the property that was accessed by coach or walking down a dimly lit street. March 8, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst starwood experience I've ever had Staff was rude (everyone we ran in to), under trained and generally arrogant. Tasmania the front desk supervisor is too busy managing ineffective staff that I guess she has no choice but to be rude to guests. Rooms are old and haven't been remodeled since the 80's. Hot tub was filthy. Lobby bar charges $5 for a cup of regular coffee. Club room on 15th floor had awful breakfast selection and closed too early. Do not stay here. February 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Overpriced ! During the day the front desk is overstaffed, they're almost tripping over each other . And not very interested to resolve problems if you have any. In the evening you'll be lucky if someone is behind the desk or picks up the phone. At 260 USD / night, thats a bit steep , considering the service provided. Rooms are clean and comfortable, only minus point would be that they're not soundproof if you have noisy neighbours ;-) April 3, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Average hotel near airport The hotel has a decent lobby with a Starbucks in the lobby. The pool and fitness center are both pretty nice. But the rooms and club room are in need of improvement. I was also surprised when I checked in that, as a SPG Platinum member they did not have a room upgrade for me given that I was traveling with and checked in at the same time as a work colleague (who is not an SPG member) who was upgraded to a suite. Rated 3 out of 5 by Staff needs training Our stay was 5 nights attending a full 4 days Seminar. 1) Desk Service was uninformed. He did not honor our Green vouchers for "Green" service ($5.00 per day for no maid service to be used for food) at check out; said it would apply only to a future stay. This did not conform to the policy cited on the Starwood website. We threw our vouchers away. 2) Desk Service was incorrect. He said the bottled water in the room was free. It wasn't. We were charged $6 for 2 bottles. 3) Desk Service did not inform us that they would charge $75 on our credit card until the full account was paid in full. That would take up to 5 days. 4) Food prices are expensive and under served. We waited 45 minutes in the Lounge for a dinner plate that was a lunch serving. Bill for 2 was $95 for the 2 plates and 2 small glasses of house wine. I know LA is expensive, but the only alternative was a Subway a block away. March 13, 2014

The bartenders were quick and friendly, the food was good. Find some paint and accessories for the club lounge and I'd have absolutely nothing to critique. May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice I came into town for a workshop but the hotel was so comfortable I was almost wishing I had extended my stay by another night. I had dinner in the Paparazzi restaurant (bar). Carrie and Mario were terrific. Very accommodating and personable, and the food was outstanding. On Wednesday while I was waiting until time for my shuttle, Kevin in the lounge bar came by and made sure I attended to. You have a great staff there. October 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel is consistently excellent This is our second occasion where we have stayed at the Sheraton Gateway prior to departure from Los Angeles. One would hope that the first positive experience was no accident and that the second stay would be as trouble-free. That was certainly the case. If anything, we had a better experience because we were able to avail ourselves of the restaurant and bar on this stay. This is truly a class act of a hotel. January 31, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by My Go-To Hotel for LAX It's my go-to-hotel whenever I need to stay near LAX. As an SPG Platinum, I'll usually get an upgrade to whatever they can upgrade me to, without a hassle. Their club lounge always has a decent selection of food & beverages. Their fitness centre has plenty of and a variety of equipment for most workouts. I've never had to wait long for their regular airport shuttle to/from LAX (and they're as close as you can get to the terminals). Easy to get to/from with their location on Century near Sepulveda. Their turn-down service is a class act, when one returns from a day of meetings to find his room ready-to-crash---lights dimmed, curtains closed, duvets pulled back, chocolate waiting. I like that their corproate rates include valet parking, as self-parking there is indeed a p.i.t.a. As long as Sheraton Gateway LAX keeps up the good consistency, I'll consistently stay there.
