Rated 5 out of 5 by Hookman Outstanding Customer Service
Emily welcomed me by my last name with a warm & friendly greeting while acknowledging my ambassador status to the Bell Boy. She had everything ready & stepped out from behind the counter to present my room key. She was simply outstanding. As always with this Hotel, my upgrade was perfect and a personalized welcome gift was waiting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DanKnight Remote & Fire Alarms DONT work
My room was okay; but the tv remote didn't work with the TV in the room. The remote worked just not with the TV.
Then at 2 AM the Fire Alarm sounded (the first time for me ever in a hotel), then it stopped, then it sounded again, then it stopped for 6 rounds of this, just to ensure we were all awake. The switchboard stated it was faulty (which is not reassuring) and they were "working on it". There went my good nights sleep.
I've had great experiences with Sheraton hotels elsewhere and with other Starwood hotels, but this experience has me wanting my money back. Please complete your renovations BEFORE offering your rooms.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Singer45 Needs more updating
This is an acceptable hotel, but for the price there are some items that need attention. Bathroom lighting is oddly dim, air blower on room heating was extremely loud, and they forgot my wake up call. The rooms are a very dark brown, rather gloomy seeming. I think they could do better for a star wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheapspeed Nice Touch with a birthday cake
I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting a client and the check-out date was my birthday. While checking in, the front desk staff acknowledged my birthday and sent me a cake in the room, which I thought that was a very nice touch and I'm very appreciative. I was also upgraded to the jacuzzi suite. The tub was a little too big as I was staying alone. This was my 3rd stay and I noted that they have been upgrading the rooms and I was put in a renovated one which was nice and comfortable. The general area downstairs still need some work, but I think they are slowly and surely getting there. I look forward to staying again in Jan. Thank you for making my stay a pleasant one!

Rated 1 out of 5 by NeverAgain13 Would not stay there again
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 5 months. Terrible service all staff at the hotel. Last visit was for 3 nights in May and the housekeeping staff did not come into my room for 2 days, told front desk staff, room still wasn't cleaned. Ants in the room from under the bed to the balcony.
The banquet staff was terrible, cooks were absolutely disgusting. Hair and fingernails were found in the chicken. The chicken was not cooked and was bleeding when cut into.
When discussed concerns with all levels of staff they did not offer to fix the problems and continued to remain stuck up and ignorant throughout my stay. The front desk staff is useless as is the rest of the hotel including convention services.
Will never stay at this hotel again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DisappointedInRedDeer No Room at the Inn
We Reserved two rooms. One for two nights and another for two. Two confirmations of this reservation were given prior to us arriving. Upon arrival for the second room, we were told it was not ready and that we were to return in a half hour to complete our check-in. A credit card was supplied at this time. When we returned we were told the room had been given away to someone WITH OUT A Reservation. And there were no other rooms available at this hotel!! But that the Sheraton would put us up at another hotel. This was unacceptable. The front desk staff "blamed the person that was no longer on shift, for this mistake". This response from the staff happened twice, once when we were told the room was not available, and once again when we checked out of the original room. Very Disappointing and over shadowed any positive experience we had at this hotel.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MrWilliams ONLY stay here if you have too
This hotel is:
2. Lacks an Executitive Chef with any respect or people skills ability
3. Allows pets to deficate throughout the halls
4. Has rude and unfriendly staff
I waited nearly 30 minutes for the cook to even "start" my meal (with no one else even in the restaurant) for a simpke piece of fish a meal from the most limited menu slection that I have seen at a SPG Property ever. The Chef refused to speak with me; ignoring my request to sepak.
Yesterday, I awoake to tow (HUGE), piles of dogs excrement in my hallway that smelled and the staff offerd me little to no apology--simply thinking that they could offer me points to compensate for their lack of performance. The Club Lounge food was cheap and limited. The gym was good. TV's horrible and TV reception throughout the hotel was pathetic. The place is run-down anddirty. Needs to be updated and modernized. Maid staff is kind and polite. Management seems to be non-existent.
No one seemd to know that the 2 large dogs were even in the hotel, and they also varked .

Rated 1 out of 5 by Calgarymule Front Desk Service
My three Associates and I recently travelled to Red Deer on business overnight.
One Partner called the front desk at 10 PM and stated the TV did not work in his room. He was told the maintenance staff had gone home for the evening and nothing they could do.
Please adjust my bill or cancel my Starwood Memebership.
