Rated 5 out of 5 by My Favorite Place in the World! I love this hotel! The staff is awesome! Daniel who is a bellhop at the Sheraton in New Orleans gives such awesome service and that is why since my first time in NoLa and at a Sheraton, I have been a Sheraton customer since and that was in 2007 and I won't stay anywhere else.And each time I have gone he has been there smiling and ready to make me and my family feel right at home. All the other staff members and the manager Chris are awesome too. Hotel is clean and beds are amazing.So when you go to NOLA go to the bellhop desk and tell Daniel Mrs. Breaux from Texas sent ya cause you will not be disappointed. June 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Friendly, Professional and Accessible My family traveled to New Orleans to celebrate graduations, father's day and most of all to spend time with our family and friends. The Sheraton New Orleans did not disappoint! In fact, our stay was fabulous and comfortable. I would like to send a special thank you and shout out to James - the BEST bellman in the world! We are a family of five with an adult child who requires accessible accommodations. The staff went the extra mile to make sure that we were all comfortable in addition to the accessible accommodations which allowed our son to independently enjoy the hotel as well. We hope to visit New Orleans again soon and without a doubt -- the Sheraton New Orleans is where we will stay! June 20, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location Great location on Canal between Bourbon and Decatur streets. Staff was excellent except for one instance, so we deducted a star. Air conditioning in our high-floor room was marginal, and the rooms do not have refrigerators. Cleanliness could have been better. June 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful stay - except for Pelican Bar food .As an SPG platinum member, I got an early check-in and was upgraded to a deluxe room on the 23rd floor with a riverside view. The room itself was very spacious, nicely furnished and appropriately decorated. Fantastic view. It took a trip or two to completely figure out the elevators.You enter your room number on the keypad outside the elevator and you are "assigned" a specific elevator to go to. Do not just get on any elevator, as there are no floor buttons inside. If you are not certain you remembered the correct elevator, as you go in - the floors that the elevator will go to are highlighted in red lights on the internal closing portion of the elevator doors themselves. The club lounge is very nice and has a reasonable variety of selections for evening hors d'oeuvres (no "happy hour" like in many SPG lounges, as they do charge for beer and.wine). Breakfast had very limited offerings. The just-baked chocolate chip cookies were delightful. Location of the hotel itself is excellent. I would definitely stay here again on any future trip to New Orleans. The only really negative thing that I would have to say about our entire stay would be our meal at the Pelican Bar. My wife and I decided to try the seafood muffaletta sandwiches. We were very disappointed. I thought that the outside of the bread was supposed to be crispy or like a focaccia. I think that ours were actually hamburger buns. They looked exactly like hamburger buns and even had sesame seeds on them. They were soggy and mushy. After a bite or two, we both left the rest of the buns. I like salt and am aware that the olive tapenade in the sandwich would be salty. But it was so salty that I could barely eat the seafood salad while my wife did not eat any more of hers. I thought about asking the server if this is what they were supposed to be, but we had an appointment and could not wait for any replacement - and I also did not want to insult any local food tradition. Besides, the hotel had been generous about upgrades, early check-in and late check-out. So we just paid the bill and hurried off to our appointment. June 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCELLENT STAY! Everything was GREAT from the time we checked in until we checked out. We arrived early and, as anticipated, our room was not available yet No problem, checked our bag into their baggage area, had a cocktail at the bar and then there was a call that our room was ready. Clean and nice room with great view and nice and cold air. Very quiet room and the bed was great. The staff couldn't have been more helpful with any questions we had, etc. This is our second stay here and will continue to stay here. Thank you to the Sheraton Staff! Peter and Darlene June 3, 2016
