Rated 1 out of 5 by sbader Poor experience
This is the 3rd survey we have expressed our disgust with the staff, their policies, and they way the run this hotel.
Not one phone call. We will never stay in a Sheraton again.

The Worst experience we have ever had in the last 30 years. Disorginazed at front desk, Programmed keys incorrectly 3 times, Unjustified Mandatory Valet service- $17 nightly to park your car 50 ft away? realy? Everyone Hates their job here. The only person that smiled the entire visit was the Waiter in the Livingston cafe, Even his boss was scowling when we told him we had a party of 14 for breakfast. We had to direct him on how to arrange the tables. Don't believe that this place is pet friendly, We booked online, which says up to 30lb dogs, we were told the next day that we were on the wrong floor? They put us there and then made us move the next afternoon. The worst part was the following morning we left for an hour, in which someone complained that our dogs were barking, we were then told that we couldnt leave them alone or we had to find a nother place to stay. We were down there for Our son's wedding, in which we had to leave his brother behind to dog sit while we attended the wedding. How Unprofessional can you get? They never cleaned the rooms for our 3 day stay. is that the policy? Pretty shameful. we complained and all they did was justify their un-written. policies. If all this sounds appealing to you, and you can ignore the train whistles blowing in the middle of the night, Give it a shot. The best part is we shelled out $1600 for this Nightmare experience. Needless to say, we wrote an email to Customer relations, as i thought, they have not attempted to call us. The BBB is next on the list. You guys should get out while you can. You are definately in the wrong business

We stay here whenever we come up to see a show at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center - in the past the hotel has always been nice and clean...the food -in the past- was mostly a disappointment...not so this time! We ordered room service after the show and it was terrific! Quickly delivered, delicious and affordable too! A very pleasant surprise! The room was clean and the staff was great!!

Comfortable bed, clean rooms and walking distance to the Amway Center where we were attending a concert. Close to good restaurants too. Only thing that we didn't like is that we had to pay $17 for overnight valet parking. We think that the parking fee should be included in the room price. There is no other parking option.

I found my stay at the hotel very disappointing. There was trash in the elevators. The towels in my bathroom had holes in them. There was a large burn/stain on the carpet in my room.
The peep hole in my door appeared to have food smeared across it. The food in the bar/restaurant was very poor quality. The guest services button on the telephone in my room did not function. When I phoned (dialed '0') to request a late check-out (based on SPG Gold status), I was not accomodated and the woman who took the call was rude, impatient and condescending. Upon check-out, the front desk staff could not answer basic questions about my folio without consulting her manager, and seemed confused.

Rated 4 out of 5 Pleasant Surprise
The hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The staff was very friendly, the rooms nice and clean and the valet was amazing. I wish I could stop there but with the good comes the bad. The hotel is near the train station and you heard the train whistle all hours of the day and night. Second the restaurant/bar was nice but the food was horrible. Very very bad. Overall I would stay there again.

Having stayed at other Sheraton hotels, I expected the Sheraton Downtown Orlando to meet the same standards. Upon arrival we found out we had no choice but to use the hotels valet service for 16 dollar + tax per night. The hotel had a huge parking lot next to it but self park was not an option.
We were in town for a wedding and came back to relax in the hotel room for a few hours prior to the event. It was hard to relax when two memebers of the cleaning staff began yelling loudly at eachother down the hallway. This conitnued for approximately 30 minutes.
Check out is at noon. What they don't tell you is housekeeping will start knocking on your door at 9am to see if you left yet. This happened not once, but twice.
Overall, poor service for the price. I will not be back.

What is the point point of giving guest th option to chose which kind of room they want when they make reservations if it doesn't mean anything when you get to the hotel. I made reservations for a single king room and when I get to the hotel they say they are none available due to high volume of guest. Also it might be a good idea to warn guest that when they get to your hotel they are going to be forced to pay for valet parking.
