Rated 1 out of 5 by PiedmontWalker Disappointment
I traveled across Japan for 2 weeks at the end of May and early June, and stayed in Starwood properties in Kyoto (Westin), Kobe (Sheraton), Hiroshima (Sheraton), and Tokyo (Sheraton) as a Platimum75 member and booking all stays with SPG points. Relative to the other properties, the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay was a disappointment.
SPG VALUE: Based on a comparison with the other Starwood properties, I felt that the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay only gave me the minimal benefit it had to.
.. the room assigned to me was a standard one with a view of the parking lot. It was on the Club floor but did not appear to be an upgrade. When I asked for a room change before breakfast (6:30am) I was told that all the rooms had been assigned. Finally, I was offered the same type room with a view of the bay but tole it wouldn’t be available until 6pm.
.. on the positive side, I was offered the 4pm checkout.
ROOM DESIGN: only the bare essentials are provided making it unsuitable for business use
.. there was only one electrical outlet, and it was not by the desk
.. the “desk” was a rectangular table with a center drawer
.. there was only one lamp in the room; none on the desk or night stand
.. the room controls for lights and HVAC were too high and unreachable by anyone lying in bed
.. the toilet was in a closet on the opposite side of the entry hall where the bathroom was located; probably a good idea if you have kids in the room.
LOCATION: most problematic for general sightseeing or business in Tokyo is the location of the property: next to Disney Resort.
.. To reach Tokyo Station requires at least 2 transfers: one from the hotel to the Disney Bayside monorail station, another (extra cost) from the monorail station to JR Maihama station on the Disney monorail, and another from Maihama to Tokyo Station. It took about 30 minutes to go from the hotel to Tokyo Station. There is a direct shuttle bus (skipping the monorail) to/from the property and the Maihama station, but on weekdays the service stops at an early 2:47pm.
.. The local Keiyo train from Maihama to or from Tokyo Station has 6 stops, and is often very crowded because of Disney Resort guests and employees going to or coming from the Disney Resort.
.. To get to or from the Keiyo train platform in Tokyo Station requires a lot of energetic walking. The platform is south of Tokyo Station and requires going down/up 4 floors, and walking on 3 moving walkways, and walking the long retail hall named Keiyo Street.
.. There are no obvious directions to guide guests to the property from the Maihama station. No signage or time table posted at the courtesy bus pickup area. Unless you speak Japanese there will no one to help you. I had to take a taxi to get to the property.
.. Weekends are very crowded with locals happily taking their families to the Disney Resort. The Club Room is overcrowded by families with children. The breakfast buffet is a zoo with long lines to get food.
CONCLUSION: Unless you are spending the entire time enjoying the Disney Resort, I would caution you to avoid this property.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Horatio Nice place to chillax
I often visit to Disney and always choose this hotel. I don't generally go to the theme parks but chill at the hotel on day trips from Tokyo, door-to-door about an hour.
We were upgraded to Club.
The staff is receptive and polite.
I have only one comment on service. Checking out of the hotel in the Club lounge, there was only one staffer, who was gabbing on the phone without stop, I am not sure to whom. I kept waiting to checkout until finally she called for assistance. Even if she was talking to a boss, waiting for her to give me my final bill was an unfortunate blemish on this property. Just a suggestion for improvement.

The experience was great and I loved my stay. The pre check-in staff (at Tokyo Disney Resort Welcome Center) was friendly, efficient and fully recognized my SPG Plus status as I expected. I received my card keys in advance in the morning, prior to my scheduled check-in time (at 3PM, same day) and also granted an enhanced room at renovated floor, complimentary Wi-Fi and 4PM late check-out. Sheraton Grande management did an amazing job elevating my experience. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Takada A great return stay
Another great return stay. The hotel was in the middle of construction but you'd never know it. The new Club Lounge on the first floor was great and the staff was very helpful with packages, park tickets, and even helped us with some cell phone problems we had. Looking forward to going to Disneyland again so we can stay at the Sheraton!

Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel is a huge hotel located very close by to Disneyland and Disneysea. You only have to take a quick monorail ride which located right infront of the hotel (they also offer shuttle to go the monorail every 15 minutes). Very fast and easy access. You can also buy your disneyland tickets at the hotel so you save time rather than wait in the line in the Disneyland. The hotel is huge. Our room is ok with two double bed. The ceiling is kind a low though so the room look smaller than it seems. And the room decoration just standard. The air conditioner also not working properly. Take long time to get the room cold. I book the club room so i got lounge privilege and get to take breakfast on the 12th floor. The breakfast is ok. Not too much option but still great. The lounge is pretty nice. At night they give u free drinks and free platter of food which is great.
They also give free wifi to all SPG member.
The service is great like other Starwood hotel. All very helpful in everyway. Sheraton also have outdoor pool but because it is still very cold when we went there, nobody using it. They also have mini golf, game centre, photo studio, indoor pool, spa and gym. The gym is very small. only few cardio but the indoor pool is very nice. The hotel have everything.... Will stay here again when we go back for Disneyland

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marc73 Great stay!
We stayed at the Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay for 4 nights into the weekend of the Vernal Equinox weekend. The trip was a first time family tour of Tokyo. The location of the hotel worked well for that as there was easy access to the Maihama JR train station from either the Disney resort monorail or shuttle bus. From Maihama it is an easy 15 minute ride into Tokyo station.
The hotel is very comfortable and impeccably clean. Our room was quite large with 2 double beds and a large bathroom, all of which was ideal for this trip with our daughter. We had a great view overlooking Disneyland and Disney Sea and enjoyed the fireworks from our balcony a couple of the nights there.
We all very much enjoyed the SPG lounge. The breakfast buffet on offer in the Summit restaurant was excellent and had a wide variety of great food. The evening lounge offerings were also very good and consisted of appetizers/snacks as well as an excellent selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The thing that made the stay outstanding is the wonderful staff members we encountered throughout our stay. They were all very attentive and extremely professional.
Thanks for a great stay!

Located at the back of the Tokyo Disneyland, easily access as just 3 mins walking distance from the Bayside Station (Connection Bus also available). Nice staffs, great room with amazing seaview, wonderful breakfast with the choice of either Japanese Set or Buffet; also luggage delivery service is available for sending to the airports. By the way PS4s are available for you to make your kids to stay in the same location. =]
