This hotel only 2 minutes walking to tram station or train station.
Their staff very responsive and the check in and check ot process very fast.
Pool and sauna the best
the negative : rooms amenities not replace and completed every day.

With the exception of 3 areas in need of improvement, this hotel surprisingly exceeded all my expectations. They take good care of spg plats - with that signature handwritten welcome letter waiting for me in the room and a welcome fruit basket with it providing that warm personal touch that is lacking elsewhere. The valet or bellhop wore his top hat with pride, elevating this Sheraton above the brand's regular standards and made me feel like I stepped into a special experience in itself. Check-in was quick and friendly and room was ready at check-in time. Hotel was well maintained, clean, and shining. Luggage was left with the bellhop with instructions not to roll it as it was wrapped up, including the wheels. He carried it by hand as it was only 2 bags, I did not see a birdcage trolley. However, this instruction was not passed to the next lady who dragged the luggage to the room by its wheels, which ripped the wrapper through, sadly. This same lady also did not seem very welcoming and rarely smiled when I requested laundry service but she was an exception to the otherwise great staff at the hotel. I stayed in a terrace suite - which was spectacular with its own private balcony and fully stocked amenities. The suite was excellent except for the sofa which appears to need replacing/reupholstery as there were old stains on them. Otherwise, the rest of the suite was comfortable and the welcome message on the screen was another nice touch. It was sufficiently spacious and well designed for a romantic stay for a couple and I highly recommend it. Breakfast food variety could be more varied on different mornings but otherwise was a simple pleasant affair in a cosy restaurant. Food variety was a good international selection with many fruit juices. The cranberry juice was awesome. Staff here are also great, friendly, and helpful. I would definitely be returning again, although I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to enjoy being an spg member as starwood gets handed over. #starwoodproud #spglife

We stayed here for a couples getaway and would highly recommend it. Rooms are a great size, comfortable and have lovely amenities. We loved the location as it was a nice walk to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the little café downstairs for quick coffee and breakfast. Service was very good also. All in all a wonderful weekend stay.

The Sheraton Melbourne is a modern hotel situated in a good position for access to all CBD facilities. The staff are extremely friendly and helpfull and without exception go out of their way to ensure you stay is memorable. The breakfasts are very good and the coffee shop serves great lunches.

Rated 2 out of 5 by walkonsand Rooms of same tariff have very variable features
I stayed twice with the same tariff. Room size was quite different (one room with side table, other without; the place for putting my luggage would fit my suitcase the first time, not the second), so it did not make me happy.
Tried the seafood buffet, not value for money. Shrimps and crab overcoocked, not too much selection overall.
There are better places in Melbourne to stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ridders Great modern hotel in top position
I stay at the Sheraton in Melbourne often and the service just keeps on improving. The top floors have great views of the cathedral and east end of town. the bar is good. But I was surprised at how the staff are continuously better and better at proactively anticipating needs and treating the customer so well. Great hotel. highly recommend.

All I can say is that I was extremely disappointed staying here. The maids did an absolutely lousy job cleaning the room and as a Platinum SPG member, the recognition was poor. Better to avoid here and stay at Westin. Extremely disappointed.
