The Sheraton Melbourne is a modern hotel situated in a good position for access to all CBD facilities. The staff are extremely friendly and helpfull and without exception go out of their way to ensure you stay is memorable. The breakfasts are very good and the coffee shop serves great lunches.

Rated 2 out of 5 by walkonsand Rooms of same tariff have very variable features
I stayed twice with the same tariff. Room size was quite different (one room with side table, other without; the place for putting my luggage would fit my suitcase the first time, not the second), so it did not make me happy.
Tried the seafood buffet, not value for money. Shrimps and crab overcoocked, not too much selection overall.
There are better places in Melbourne to stay.

I stay at the Sheraton in Melbourne often and the service just keeps on improving. The top floors have great views of the cathedral and east end of town. the bar is good. But I was surprised at how the staff are continuously better and better at proactively anticipating needs and treating the customer so well. Great hotel. highly recommend.

All I can say is that I was extremely disappointed staying here. The maids did an absolutely lousy job cleaning the room and as a Platinum SPG member, the recognition was poor. Better to avoid here and stay at Westin. Extremely disappointed.

Room and facilities were clean and tidy and bed was nice and comfortable which made for a much needed rest.
Kitchen facilities and staff service during lunch meeting was excellent although meal was a little overpriced even for renowned hotel margins.
At reception on check in have come to expect a little bit extra from spg group. Check in was a little lacking for recognition of return spg members sure could have used a complimentary beverage on arrival!?
Overall it was adequate and I would stay again however it is the little things that count and if they are constantly overlooked or missed then I fear that maybe the hotel will eventually suffer the same fate with its members. There is a reason customers choose certain loyalty programs

Great location. Nice staff. I was billed incorrect room rate which staff disputed and not worth effort to pursue, altho paperwork confirms my version. Then billed for minibar which was not used. No reply from hotel. If you like nice hotel, in good location who charge incorrect amounts and will not correct, this is the spot for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Austonian Great Hotel in CBD Melbourne
I spent 8 nights at this hotel recently on vacation. Overall, this is a great little hotel in CBD within walking distance of most of Melbourne's key sights. The hotel is fairly small with the first 13 or 14 floors being part of the Sheraton, and the floors above that are private residences. Still, great views, etc.
Platinum recognition was good. I was given a room upgrade upon check-in...even with an 8 night stay.
The only feedback I would offer in terms of improvement would be that the service doors on each floor are very high traffic and are very noisy during daytime hours. Normally I'm away at the office during the day, so it goes unnoticed. However, on this trip I was normally in my room throughout the day taking a nap or just relaxing from time to time and the noise was non-stop. I'd recommend that mgm't. installs a soft close on these doors, or just leaves them propped open while they're in use to avoid all the slamming.
Definitely would stay here again! Enjoy!
