Arrived late in the evening, around 22:30 and went to the SPG lounge to check in.
It took 20 mins to get the key without any other guests. After that i went to the 7 floor and the room, but the key didn't work so I had to go back with all the luggage. After that I got I key that work but when I entered the room some one was already sleeping in the room, and he woke up and start to scream, totally unacceptable for both of us. I went for the third time to the lounge and received a new room with out any compensation at all. When I arrived to that room the room wasn't ready at all but 1,5 hour later I didn't had the energy to keep on moving around.

On our way to Argentina we were stranded in Frankfurt by a pilot strike and decided to spend the night at the Sheraton - it was a good choice... the hotel is just a few steps from the terminal and has all one needs. There is a separate club/SPG reception so our check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. Even for our short stay we were offered an upgrade to a large suite! OK it is an airport hotel so I would not recommend it for a romantic weekend, but for circumstances like ours and also for business meetings it is just perfect.

This hotel is extremely convenient, clearly, since it's attached to the airport. Very clean and polite.
I was pleasantly suprised that i could NOT hear airplanes in my hotel room, which faced the airport terminal. Very quiet.

I would only recommend this hotel if you are stuck at the airport and have no other option.

I've stayed at this hotel more once and each time the front desk has been rude. The check-in process is extremely slow across the board. After waiting over 10 minutes to check-in this week, I got to the counter and was told by Andreas that he was going on break. There was still over 10 people waiting in line behind me. As I stared at him in disbelief he finally said he would check me in but very rudely asked if I was a Gold or Platinum member. When I told him Platinum his attitude changed a bit but not enough to call friendly. If I had a choice I would never stay at this SPG property again.

Upon arriving in my room I immediately tried to turn on the TV without success.
I then continually dialled guest services for 15 minutes without response.
When I finally got an answer it was firstly explained that I was using the remote control incorrectly then, when we agreed I did know how to use a remote I was advised that a technician would be sent to my room in a while as he was busy.
My request to speak to the duty manager was handled by putting me on to the front desk manager.
When the Duty Manager finally called I was advised that the TV problem was a common issue, I got no satisfactory response as to why each room was not fully checked prior to occupancy.
The duty manager seemed to think an offered upgrade was the correct way to address my problems.
The correct way was to have the room functioning properly.
When I checked out the following day no fort her contact had been made , nor was my TV working.
This was my second , and final ,stay at this hotel. I prefer the inconvenience of a taxi to a better hotel.

As a platinum member, I pick starwood hotels more so I know what I am going to get. I used some suite upgrade coupons for an upgrade at this hotel (I wouldnt recommend, suites are dated and far away from club lounge) My biggest disapointment was with the internet, which was a pain to get (didnt help that my phone also didnt work so I had to walk back to club lounge twice to get a simple code) and then it stopped working mid trip (only there two days) which took two phone calls to resolve. disapointing for a business hotel, but I honestly just think they are too busy to care.
