I must admit that my expectations when arriving at an SPG property is one that always exceeds expectations. Although the staff was very attentive, helpful and on point, the room, hallway carpet and common areas are in dire need of an update. At a price of $143.10 for my reservation made through the Sheraton website utilizing a AAA rate code, the value/price equation was out of balance.

Location scene was great. Had some rooms on the first floor being worked on and the workers woke us up at 7:30am walking the hallway chatting. Supposed to get a joining room, even called in to make sure that morning .. staff thought that is what they gave us but it wasn't .. wasn't the end of the world. nothing else available . the SPG lounge was awesome! thought was better then most. I would stay here again.. i am sure the remodel of some of the rooms will be done soon. Staff were very nice at the front desk.

I stayed at this location 7 times in the last 3 months (4 nights each except for the week of Labor Day) and on my way to renewing my Gold Preferred status. My 8th stay is coming up soon.
My rating for Staff Responsiveness would have been higher if not for the front desk staff.
On my 4th stay, I noticed a bottled water on my final bill. Bottled water is complementary for Gold and above levels. This particular bottle was a different brand but it had the paper collar on it and was with the other bottles. When I called the next morning, I was told that bottled water was not complementary for Gold level. The man who answered argued with me about getting the charge removed from my bill. It's not like it was a fancy brand. I could buy a case of it from the warehouse store one freeway exit over for less than $4. He finally removed it when I told him it was with the other bottles that were complimentary and had the same paper collar. All this effort for a $2 bottle of water.
A couple days before my 5th stay, the room information that showed up in my reservation details in the SPG app (nice tool by the way) showed that I had been upgraded to club level with access to the club lounge. When I asked about it during check in, I was told that that message shows up for all room upgrades and I would get an upgraded room but not the access to the club lounge unless I wanted to pay extra for it. If I am not going to get all of the amenities that show up in the app, please do not put it in the app. If I am going to get the perks that show up in the app, please honor it at the hotel.
The maintenance staff is nice. My TV had sound but no video and someone showed up quickly. He turned the set off and back on and proper operation was restored.
Restaurant and bar staff were also friendly and quick to provide service.
The facilities show age and wear but appear clean and in good condition.

I stay here on a monthly basis while traveling on business and have been consistently impressed with the warmth of the staff. They greet me by name and take great pride in making my stay as comfortable as possible. Hotel gym has all the necessary machines and weights, and the restaurant has the best food I've had at a Sheraton property. Only area for improvement is the atmosphere in the restaurant/bar - will be undergoing a makeover soon, which will very much improve the look/feel.

LA is huge and spread out, hotel location is only good if you want to be in this area. its far from beverly hills,downtown or beach. there's a golf course nearby and the landing next to the lake is pretty nice. I'm only here cos my friend lives nearby.
The hotel service is good, facilities are average, 4 star standard, no pool. views from rooms are ordinary. Its worth paying the extra to be in club floor, althou club room is a little crowded when hotel is busy.

Loved the inset into the mountain, quiet, away from the city noise but close enough for shopping. We come to cali every year and stay in differnet hotels, next year we will be back! Staff was amazing-they all deserve a raise. Front desk are all keepers! The bed is amazing, so amazing I went online when I got home and ordered the same thing! I have worked in a hotel for 17 years and you should be proud of all of yours! Overall loved the place!

My wife and I got married in Malibu near Point Dume along PCH. After researching numerous hotels in the area, we selected Sheraton Agoura Hills because it was the most convenient to get to and also the best value. The hotel is just up Kanan Dume Road and then a left on Agoura Road.
We were pleased by the hotel staff and accommodations. The rooms were above expectations. The bridal suite was large enough for my wife and the bridemaids to have their hair/makeup done inside. Also, there were courtesy shuttles available to transport our guests to the venue.
Brunch in the restaurant was awesome. There was plenty of warm breakfast foods available and a wide assortment of fresh fruits. Most of our guests dined here the next morning.
This hotel is great for those wanting to provide nice accommodations at a low nightly rate for their wedding guests.

I needed an accessible room with two beds. I was told this was not possible but that they could provide a king bed and a single rollaway. My daughter booked the room over a month in advance and confirmed the room and rollaway the week before but when I arrived they had given away all of the rollaway beds and couldn't get one until the middle of the night or the next morning. They offered to move me to the club level without accessibility but that was the whole point of the special request. No other recompense was offered in spite of having to shift someone to a family member's home at the last minute. One of the two elevators was broken through most of my 5 day stay. A catering order for brunch on my granddaughter's wedding day arrived without cream or sugar for the coffee service and it took 3 calls and 2 hours to get it. My daughter put together gift bags for wedding guests at the hotel but only half of them were given the bags when they checked in. Wonderful time with family but wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

The Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel is truly a hidden gem in the suburbs of Agoura Hills. Check-in/concierge, the bartender, the pool man, housekeeping & the maintenance person are genuinely personable people & added to our restful stay. The peaceful family and pet friendly atmosphere, the tranquil bed & the relaxing patio lounging is inviting to stay longer & definitely worth an intended return trip.

I've been staying a few times a year since 2004, when it was part of Renaissance. Rooms are comfortable, esp the super-high beds. Rooms could use a little updating, but overall are fine.Good bar and restaurant (especially Jen, one of the breakfast servers). 99% business crowd during the weekdays - lots of small groups. Definitely a solid choice, and a bit more luxurious than your average Sheraton.

this is a regular sheraton hotel. do not expect to feel welcome and receive special treatment for being SPG member. i have gold status and they gave us a regular room, nothing special just a bed and bathroom, small sized room, the bed is on a particularly high bedframe. we asked for complimentary drinks and breakfast from elite club lounge and they did not want to accomodate saying if they gave me the free can of coke or water bottle i wouldnt work on becoming a platinum status. i mean seriously i check in with my SPG credit card obviously i like the spg program. the hotel was full of business people and there was a meeting going on there. I used 7,000 points for the 1 night stay and in the morning the bill they slipped under the door had a room charge on there i had to go to the front desk to have it resolved and the lady in the morning was curtious and said she will update to a 0 balance.

To sit on "my" balcony in the morning, coffee in hand, staring up into those beautiful hills, fog lifting thru the trees, one completely forgets he's in a massive metropolitan area. With the beaches down the road, the mountains at your doorstep, it's the perfect retreat for a business traveller, and has became my go-to hotel for trips to L.A. The staff is always fantastic, friendly, helpful!

Though this Sheraton is an older property, they have made the effort to take good care of the facilities. The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, free computer access in the lobby, and the beds were the absolute best of my entire trip. Stand out staff was Javier at the front desk - what a lovely smiling person. I love gracious service and he was top notch !!

Have stayed at this location 4 or 5 times. Booked a block of rooms for Pepperdine Graduation in April 2012 and there is a nearby charitable corporate headquarters for which we get a special rate when we visit to do work with the organization. Great staff. There was a scheduling issue on our last visit and Loren and staff bent over backwards to fix the problem. Great location.

Beautiful setting for this modern, comfortable hotel. Room included a refrigerator, which we appreciated very much, as it allowed us to have chilled water always on hand in the recent California heat wave. I should mention, however, that for short-framed people, the beds are about 6 inches too high. One has to hoist oneself up to sit on the edge.

My family and I were impressed with Staff, as they were friendly and ready to serve. We were experiencing heavy noise due to party happening in room next to ours, but staff was fast to resolve problem. I appreciated the fact that when I made reservations that Staff was willing to accomodate my purchase price according to internet deal.

Staff was excellent. Moved us to a suite which was very large. Everyone was very friendly. Had to ask for eh Gold level "gift" upon checking out, usually it is offered at check-in. The club room breakfast shut down pretty early on a Saturday morning. Some refurbishing going on, but a very nice, relaxing property.

The highlight of the hotel is the staff. Friendly, prompt, and above-and-beyond service with a smile. The building could use a little updating, but the rooms were comfortable and clean. The SPG Club Lounge had great complimentary hors douvres throughout the day and evening. I'll be back!

I found an add for this hotel on Living Social and called to ask about the promotion. The Lady on the phone was nice and professional and said the hotel could meet the promotion in house without a purchase from Living Social. Pictures showed a private balcony with nice furnature and a great view. I got a small dusty patio with a ciggerett burned set of WalMart furnature that had a blocked view of a back parking lot. The room was nice the bed was comfy but one of our towel had a nasty Yellowish stain on it and the picture in the restroom had some gross white spatter on it that made you wonder if the place would light up like a disco if you turned on the black light. All in all i had to remind myself again and again. "your on vacation, suck it up and have a good time" and when your on vacation. you don't want to have to remind yourself your on vacation. Just a touch on location as well. Add said "close to Santa Monica" and other locations. 45min drive time in light traffic is not close in my opinion.

My hotel suite was not clean......lots of human hairs on the bathroom floor and ketchum all over the air conditioner control setting.
I told the manager and he did not respond too well.
We got a call the morning after our check in asking about a water leak and if they could come into our room. Carpet was wet around a/c unit and apparently leaking below our floor.
Also, we arrived at Club Lounge 2 minutes after 8:00 p.m. ....host was just packaging up cheese, crackers, etc. We asked if we could sneak in a plate and he said NO!
I thought that was really tacky. Yes, the cheese was wrapped but it would have taken nothing to open and let us take some.

It was very comfortable and service was excellent. However, we were told on two occasions when we asked that breakfast was served starting at 6 am for the club rooms. We had to leave soon after that and were disappointed to find that it didn't really start until 7 am on weekends.

Disappointing hotel stay. Room had no toilet paper and TV remote did not work, to their credit, the staff did fix these items. In addition, we had to ask multiple times for coffee in the lobby, we finally gave up and went into the restaurant to get coffee.

The staff smiled more and were more welcoming than at perhaps any other hotel stay I have had (out of 100's). The club lounge had a hot breakfast even on weekends, although only promised for week days, so I am sure there is not guarantee.

We were looking for a hotel close to, but not in Los Angeles, and the Sheraton Agoura met / exceeded our requirements. It was a close drive to everything (i.e. an hour or less to a large outlet mall, Hollywood, downtown LA, Disney, MLB baseball, etc) but not in the midst of the traffic or noise associated with city hotels. The front staff was excellent and immediately responded to any requests, the food and beverage service very reasonably priced and the parking free. Being located in the hills, it felt more like a mini-resort than a city hotel and we would definitely return.

Our daughter is at UCLA and this is our go to hotel when we visit her. We have found the staff to be very helpful and the facilities are outstanding. Thanks for making us feel at home with a good night sleep and the club floor extras.

Only recommendation is that contential breakfast should be automatically included in reservation price. I'm so used to those hotels that offer this service, that I was very surprised to learn that Sheraton did not offer this.

My sister and I just returned from a family wedding. We stayed at the Sheraton in Agoura Hills. This hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent. They not only let us check into a room early in the day but were always friendly and personable. We did not have a car but we did get taken to several nearby places from the complimentary hotel shuttle. The front desk people were always willing to answer questions and gave us great service with a smile. When we would hear them say, "have a great day", they meant it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Agoura Hills.
