Rated 5 out of 5 by Tim62 This hotel's people went out of their way to take care of us!
The people here are so helpful and really went above and beyond to take care of us in a moment of need. They "broke the rules" and really made us feel special and welcome and allowed us to accomplish what we needed to accomplish. Beautiful and comfortable lobby and bar area...made us want to have a drink there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RyanDFW Renovation has come along nicely
I stayed at this hotel a few months back right in the middle of their renovation. There was a lot of construction which made the stay a little difficult. Not a big deal, and I definitely wanted to stay again to check it out. I contacted the hotel the night before my arrival and they were able to secure a reservation for me and were happy to do so, so kudos to their front office. Check in was a breeze and I was put on the top floor, which is the club floor. The room was very large and was clean. AC was quiet, which some people can be concerned about. About the only item that could be an issue is that bathrooms are pretty small...the door actually opens up and brushes against the toilet. For me, I was not concerned with this, but it is worth noting. The club room was very nice and I wish I had more time to hang out there. I grabbed a couple of wings and a beer and went back to my room before heading out for the evening. Wings were good, beer was cold, worked for me. I didn't check out the pool or eat in the restaurant, but it all looked very nice. I definitely like the lobby and bar area and will check that out the next time i'm in town. Will definitely look to book here next time i'm in Omaha.

Rated 1 out of 5 by omaha13 Worst Sheraton I've stayed at
This hotel is by far the worst Sheraton that I have stayed at throughout the US and Canada. The facilities do not meet the standard largely set by other Starwood hotels. Specific to the Omaha market, any of the other hotels provide a much better experience than the Sheraton.
The staff refused my request to move rooms as the heater would not turn off in the room (it's summer in Omaha, so about 95 degrees outside). The room was around 85 degrees and getting hotter by the minute. Finally, I packed my stuff up and headed to the front desk. The reluctance of the staff to move me into another room was not appreciated and the demeanor of the staff was poor.
I have had other problems at this property in the past, including bugs in the room and broken TVs in addition to generally dirty rooms. I stay in Omaha every week and will be for the next year, and will not be returning to this Sheraton anytime soon. The other Starwood property is much better.

Wow! This place was not what I expected... in a good way! My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have had a better stay! The room was so nice, especially for the price. The bed was so comfortable and it smelled clean as well. The bathroom was super clean and beautiful- granite showers and counters. The pool and gym facilities were very nice and well equipped. My boyfriend and I exercise a lot and it was nice to have everything we needed. Most hotel gyms are just a treadmill and some free weights. The gym was clean and maintained with a lot of amenities. The pool was super clean and there was a nice sun deck outside for you Sun Goddesses! We're actually going back next week and we wouldn't stay anywhere else!
The only, I guess you could say "problems", we had was the cleaning crew never came to our room during our stay so we had to call down for coffee and towels. No biggie! Also there's no breakfast during the week and if you want some on the weekend you have to pay. But there's a mcdonalds down the street if you're desperate! All in all, a fantastic stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Good job!!! :)

First let me say that I made my reservations 2 weeks in advance. I was put in a room on the first floor with a view of the garabge right outside my window. Also, was next to an office and was awoken every morning at 8am due to the noise being made in the office. I asked to be put in another room and was told that there were no other rooms available. It is hard to believe that there was not one other room available in the entire hotel. They could care less about my complaint.

If this hotel is booked, I'll change my travel dates to to Omaha when I can stay here...I love it THAT much. I am always treated like a VIP even thought I'm not even a Gold member yet! They always take care of me. The staff knows me now and I've only stayed about 5 times. They are always happy to see me, and wanting to do anything they can to make my stay the very best it can be! I LOVE the rooms, the internet, the club lounge, the restaurant, the pool and workout room. I can't say enough great things about the customer service, how clean the hotel is, and how they go above and beyond. My favorite hotel in Omaha by FAR!

I stay at this property almost every week as I currently travel to Omaha for work. The staff, and in particular Jenna, have really gone above and beyond to make sure I feel welcome and like I am coming "home" every week. She has worked to accomodate all my requests, and always makes me feel valued and like a friend. I love it when my bags are already in my room when I arrive and that I almost always have the same room, in particular, but I also like how friendly and kind everyone is at this location!
Thank you, Jenna, and the rest of the staff at the Sheraton Omaha! I recommend you to other consultants all the time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Schibes Staff Great - Management Not
Stayed her the night of 4-13-13. Was there for youth basketball tournament. Failed to tell us the had a Nerdtron conference. They had the whole first floor invaded. They were in costume some which scared the h e double l out of the kids. Took a cold show in the morning no hot water. Waited for an hour and still no hot water. Went to breakfast no clean tables to sit at and no food on the buffet, wiped out. Speaking to the employees who were working their butts off said the hotel was booked and management didn't have any extra help. Almost forgot when checking in room was not ready yet. Next time I will not stay here.

Had an issue with my reservation at the hotel and spent 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve with Starwood reservations and SPG. With growing frustration I was going to cancel the reservation and stay elsewhere. One contact to Tanner at the hotel and 2 minutes later issue solved.
Had a great stay at the hotel A+. Great service and quality property. Nice clean room. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Starwood should use the Sheraton Omaha Hotel as a model for the rest of their properties.
The Sheraton Omaha Hotel will be at the top of my list for places to stay on my next visit to Omaha.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mrtravel28 Not like a Sheraton
This hotel only seems like a Sheraton, but after checking in I was put only on low floor even as platinum and to my shock the sheets in the room were soiled. Even than I was only switched to a different room still not on club level. Smelly, damp hallways, not a very Sheraton like look. The lounge is nice with quality offerings, but I don't understand the drinks limit, after huge spending with SPG Platinums are limited to two beers? Wow. Probably will never stay at this place again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Fresh4Lfe Guess it depends on the time of year
Walking in you can tell this is an older hotel. Maintained well, but could use some updating.
Rooms are clean and the rugs in the room appear to have been updated within the last few years. Staff was friendly and kind.
The restaurant staff could use some help. For dinner I ate at the restaurant two nights and the same issue happened; the waitress was nowhere to be found. She was as sweet as can be, but the poor woman was on floor and room-service duty. Leaving me waiting for a drink refill for 15 mins, on both nights. I couldn't be upset, I felt bad watching her run back and forth. I guess its the time of year, less traffic so less staff. But that is too stripped down, should have at least one person on floor and one doing room-service.
The heating unit was a bit odd, wouldn't cut on until I put it on 78 even though the room temp was 72 (it was in the mid to high 30's outside).
Other than the restaurant staffing shortage, everything was pretty average for a Sheraton

Rated 2 out of 5 by Elizabeth22 Needs a new cleaning Staff
This hotel was very untidy both times I stayed there- this time in particular there were used dishses sitting outside my door when I checked in and only one towel in the bathroom. I had spilled water on the carpet and when I used a towel to wipe it up the towel came up brown with pieces of dirt on it signifying that the carpet clearly had not been cleaned. Two of my colleagues had ants in their room as well, overall, not a good experience-

Great example of what an older Sheraton can achieve through simple cleanliness and hospitality. While the actual hotel was older the remodel was fresh and inviting. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the club lounge was well stocked and relaxing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rarudolp Nice hotel as long as you eat someplace else
The room was nice, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was not good. The waitress did not seem to want us there. It is not like she was busy. We were one of 3 tables in the place, which should have been an indication as to what to expect. We went in on Saturday night, and it should have been busier. We ordered an appetizer and our meals. We waited over 20 minutes for the food and when it came out we only got our entrees. I asked about our appetizer and she told me she forgot to put the order in. She proceeded to put the order in and came back and told us it would be out in 3 minutes. 15 minutes later she brought it to the table. It was cold, and I had finished my entree. The waitress came back to the table 10 minutes later and started collecting our plates, and my wife was not finished. She asked at that time if we wanted to see the desert menu and I told her yes. She just dropped the check on the table and walked away. She did not want us to order anything else obviously. If I return to the hotel, I will be sure not to eat in the restaurant.

I stayed at this Hotel a couple of years ago and iit was not a very good stay. The Management has obviously done allot of hard work to make this Sheraton as good as any that I have stayed at. I would like to thank Rachel on the front desk for being very helpful

From St. Louis MO to Omaha NE: I wasn't sure what to expect because my favorite hotel was taken over by Sheraton. I was amazed at the wonderful changes and still having familiar faces around. You never know when companies change if things will be better or worse or if staff will change. Things were much better and my favorite staff was still there! Housekeeping was beyond wonderful. Jin is my special friend who always checks on me when I've had surgery. The housekeeping supervisor, Robert, went above and beyond when I had left a valuable item behind and made sure I got it back quickly. The renovation is lovely. The pool could have been heated a bit more for the winter - it was too cold for my "old blood" to take more than a few laps. From Alejandrina's help on the phone with booking to my quick checkout, everything was perfect - so perfect that I extended my stay for 3 more days. The 6th floor lounge was a huge bonus. I hadn't taken my laptop and thought I would need to use the Business Center next to the service counter. The Lounge had much nicer facilities, and they even had my favorite coffee creamer that is hard to find. Thank you to everyone at the Sheraton Omaha on 108th for making my stay feel extra special, even though I am just a "regular" person. (I've sent a copy of this to smassistance)
