Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Great hotel and staff, everything was great and had a wonderful time. November 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel was a road trip highlight Room beyond expectation! Food from club lounge and room service fabulous. Jenna Williams amazing: welcoming and professional. She had a personal note welcoming us in our room. Internet connection in club linge needs to add a feature to stay on longer than 30 min if needed. Would return without a doubt:) November 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Stay - Excellent Service My family recently stayed at this hotel and feel it was a good value. Service staff was very courteous and accommodating. Recently remodeled rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. Bathroom was a little small, but sufficient and also nicely done. Spacious pool area, but spa was low on water. This hotel is located in the heart of Omaha's busy west side, but is secluded enough that noise is not a problem at all. May 19, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Sheraton I've stayed at This hotel is by far the worst Sheraton that I have stayed at throughout the US and Canada. The facilities do not meet the standard largely set by other Starwood hotels. Specific to the Omaha market, any of the other hotels provide a much better experience than the Sheraton. The staff refused my request to move rooms as the heater would not turn off in the room (it's summer in Omaha, so about 95 degrees outside). The room was around 85 degrees and getting hotter by the minute. Finally, I packed my stuff up and headed to the front desk. The reluctance of the staff to move me into another room was not appreciated and the demeanor of the staff was poor. I have had other problems at this property in the past, including bugs in the room and broken TVs in addition to generally dirty rooms. I stay in Omaha every week and will be for the next year, and will not be returning to this Sheraton anytime soon. The other Starwood property is much better. July 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Relaxing stay Recently came to Sheraton Omaha and stayed for 3 nights. Staff was very professional and accommodating to my needs. Check in was quick and thorough, rooms are clean and adequate size. Wireless internet was fast and food in the club lounge was tasty. I also tried their swimming pool which was at an adequate temperature. April 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel's people went out of their way to take care of us! The people here are so helpful and really went above and beyond to take care of us in a moment of need. They "broke the rules" and really made us feel special and welcome and allowed us to accomplish what we needed to accomplish. Beautiful and comfortable lobby and bar area...made us want to have a drink there. May 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nov 1 Only bad part of my stay was opening my room door and the maintence man was in my room. Should make sure he knows so people dont have surprises when entering their rooms. November 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Renovation has come along nicely I stayed at this hotel a few months back right in the middle of their renovation. There was a lot of construction which made the stay a little difficult. Not a big deal, and I definitely wanted to stay again to check it out. I contacted the hotel the night before my arrival and they were able to secure a reservation for me and were happy to do so, so kudos to their front office. Check in was a breeze and I was put on the top floor, which is the club floor. The room was very large and was clean. AC was quiet, which some people can be concerned about. About the only item that could be an issue is that bathrooms are pretty small...the door actually opens up and brushes against the toilet. For me, I was not concerned with this, but it is worth noting. The club room was very nice and I wish I had more time to hang out there. I grabbed a couple of wings and a beer and went back to my room before heading out for the evening. Wings were good, beer was cold, worked for me. I didn't check out the pool or eat in the restaurant, but it all looked very nice. I definitely like the lobby and bar area and will check that out the next time i'm in town. Will definitely look to book here next time i'm in Omaha. August 8, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Evertyhing is broken in this hotel As a business traveler i was very disappointed with this hotel. I was prepping for a meeting with 7 colleagues and the hotel failed. 1. Club room was overrun with H&M employees. It was a bad version of MTV Real World. 2. Printers were broken in club room and lobby 3. Coffee machine was broken 4. Showers had no water pressure 5. Room service did not clean room 6. Staff was impotent. When I called to ask why my room was not cleaned, the receptionist ask what she could she do to make the problem better....answer, clean the room. 7. Tried to get a quiet area in the hotel to work, 'supervisor' looked into it and basically told me and my team to work in the restaurant. There were meeting rooms open for use, but she would not make them available 8. At 2:00 in the morning security kicked us out of the restaurant, why? I have no idea. This Sheraton should be torn down and started over. The facilities and the staff area awful As a longtime Starwoods member, it is shameful how this hotel is being run. September 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Further evidence of Starwood decline I only stay here when I can't get in somewhere else. And god knows why, but in Omaha, but that is not infrequent. The concierge lounge is the worst I've ever seen at a Starwood property. They cut every possible corner, which is not the right approach with your elite guests. If you've got other options, take them. October 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Staff Great - Management Not Stayed her the night of 4-13-13. Was there for youth basketball tournament. Failed to tell us the had a Nerdtron conference. They had the whole first floor invaded. They were in costume some which scared the h e double l out of the kids. Took a cold show in the morning no hot water. Waited for an hour and still no hot water. Went to breakfast no clean tables to sit at and no food on the buffet, wiped out. Speaking to the employees who were working their butts off said the hotel was booked and management didn't have any extra help. Almost forgot when checking in room was not ready yet. Next time I will not stay here. April 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissapointed First let me say that I made my reservations 2 weeks in advance. I was put in a room on the first floor with a view of the garabge right outside my window. Also, was next to an office and was awoken every morning at 8am due to the noise being made in the office. I asked to be put in another room and was told that there were no other rooms available. It is hard to believe that there was not one other room available in the entire hotel. They could care less about my complaint. April 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel between Home & Destination Whenever we drive to Colorado, we always stay at the Omaha Sheraton. It has always more than met our needs. Its comfortable, clean and the staff is very friendly. October 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel was not all that we imagined We were travelling all the way from Seattle to attend a bodybuilding show for a weekend in November. We were able to get an early check into the room which was a plus. Went to the room thinking they had a fridge or a microwave, but there wasn't any. Called downstairs to request and they advised there is an additional fee for each. Mind you we had brought my own food to prep for the show and needed these items. so we had to choose between a microwave or a fridge. After that fiasco, we finally settled in. Went into the shower and it was SCORCHING hot no matter which way the shower handle was turned. Called downstairs for to let them know. They sent maintenance up, did a whole lot of flushing the toilet running the water said it was fixed. The Maintenance guy left; went back into to finish showering and it was scorching hot again. It was such an inconvenience. This happened through out the time of the stay. They didn't offer to move us to another room or comp for our stay. Overall Customer Service was not there when needed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Underestimated!! Wow! This place was not what I expected... in a good way! My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have had a better stay! The room was so nice, especially for the price. The bed was so comfortable and it smelled clean as well. The bathroom was super clean and beautiful- granite showers and counters. The pool and gym facilities were very nice and well equipped. My boyfriend and I exercise a lot and it was nice to have everything we needed. Most hotel gyms are just a treadmill and some free weights. The gym was clean and maintained with a lot of amenities. The pool was super clean and there was a nice sun deck outside for you Sun Goddesses! We're actually going back next week and we wouldn't stay anywhere else! The only, I guess you could say "problems", we had was the cleaning crew never came to our room during our stay so we had to call down for coffee and towels. No biggie! Also there's no breakfast during the week and if you want some on the weekend you have to pay. But there's a mcdonalds down the street if you're desperate! All in all, a fantastic stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Good job!!! :) August 13, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by One night at Omaha This hotel is perfect for when you are traveling and just passing through and just need somewhere to sleep for the night. However, the elevators are very shaky and make you feel unsafe and we were charged on our card more than what our receipt stated and when we called to address this they claimed it was incidentals. In our defense, my mother and I were in the hotel room for a total of 12 hours and never even ate in the hotel room didn't spill or damage the room in anyway. 4 days later still no money back.very disappointed by that. Beds were very comfy and its a 2 minute drive to starbucks. August 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Only place I'll stay in Omaha If this hotel is booked, I'll change my travel dates to to Omaha when I can stay here...I love it THAT much. I am always treated like a VIP even thought I'm not even a Gold member yet! They always take care of me. The staff knows me now and I've only stayed about 5 times. They are always happy to see me, and wanting to do anything they can to make my stay the very best it can be! I LOVE the rooms, the internet, the club lounge, the restaurant, the pool and workout room. I can't say enough great things about the customer service, how clean the hotel is, and how they go above and beyond. My favorite hotel in Omaha by FAR! April 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Long term client I stay at this property almost every week as I currently travel to Omaha for work. The staff, and in particular Jenna, have really gone above and beyond to make sure I feel welcome and like I am coming "home" every week. She has worked to accomodate all my requests, and always makes me feel valued and like a friend. I love it when my bags are already in my room when I arrive and that I almost always have the same room, in particular, but I also like how friendly and kind everyone is at this location! Thank you, Jenna, and the rest of the staff at the Sheraton Omaha! I recommend you to other consultants all the time. July 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel A+ Had an issue with my reservation at the hotel and spent 2 hours on the phone trying to resolve with Starwood reservations and SPG. With growing frustration I was going to cancel the reservation and stay elsewhere. One contact to Tanner at the hotel and 2 minutes later issue solved. Had a great stay at the hotel A+. Great service and quality property. Nice clean room. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Starwood should use the Sheraton Omaha Hotel as a model for the rest of their properties. The Sheraton Omaha Hotel will be at the top of my list for places to stay on my next visit to Omaha. Rated 2 out of 5 by Old Building So Don't Expect A Good Night's Sleep We stayed here for 3 nights because of a wedding. We had a horrible experience the first night we checked in. Didn't have cold water in the first room, so they changed us to another room. We did all the moving as they were short on staff. The second room didn't have cold water either, so they moved us to a third room. We did all the moving again. We did get the first night compted, which for all our time and effort wasn't enough. The staff were very poor in the restaurant and bar. The hotel is very old and you can hear everything in the rooms next door. Housekeeping wasn't much better. Wouldn't stay here again. April 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by I Execting More,,,, When I think of Sheraton I think of high quality, unfortunately that wasn't my experience with this stay. We checked in during a thunderstorm, when we got to the room we realized we couldn't get any channels on the TV. The maintenance man arrived promptly, only to inform us that the TV goes out when it storms. The hallway noise was quite noticeable and whenever someone slammed a door it shook our beds! We then discovered the bathroom sink was clogged and there was no exhaust fan. The only redeeming factor was the location. August 24, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Concerned about cleanliness of room When entering room after checking in there was a musty smell that I was surprised to find in one of you hotel rooms. This smell was there any time the air conditioner was not on and made me fear that there was mold or something in the carpet that had not been picked up with vacuuming. I also noticed that the air return vents both in our room and the room my parents were in (adjacent) were filthy. It looks like the ducts have not been cleaned in a long time and that may have cause the small. This of course would be hotel wide and not just in out two rooms. One last comment is that I found long black curly hair on the floor in my bathroom that did clearly not come from me. It was a little off putting. July 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Reunion Trip In Omaha for a few days for a High Scholo Reunion, and this hotel provided everything I needed, with style. Linens, Beds, shower items all excellent. I was a little confused by the "Green" option, only becuase I like coffee available in the room every morning to start my day. Also, the Clock radio was clunky and hard to work, and the front desk couldn't even explain it, put did send someone from operationsw to change the time for me. The staff was friendly and helpful, and did enjoy the breakfast buffet b oth mronings that I sampled, especially the fresh fruit. August 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel has friendly staff The hotel has a very friendly and helpful staff. The dining room was very nice with a good breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean and had a very nice comfortable bed with a nice sitting area. September 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Club Lounge open to everyone...come one, come all I tried to have a work day with 3 colleagues prepping for a big meeting the next day. Unfortunately, there were a lot of retail kids (20 years old) being really loud and obnoxious. When I asked the front deck supervisor, she was very dismissive and said anyone could pay for the lounge. So much for getting ANY work done. September 9, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by needs service upgrades Our room had hot water coming out of cold faucet. Notified front desk early in am. When we returned later that evening nothing had been done. Offered to send maintenance up then. Ended up having to pack up and move rooms. Pain. Next morning server at breakfast stated we should have received discount for breakfast since we are Gold Starwood members. Next trip we probably will go back to Element. Much better service there. Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous Hotel! This was our first stay at the Omaha Sheraton. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay there! The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The beds were superior giving us an excellent night of sleep. The most impressive part of our stay was the assistance and kindness shown to us by Michael at the front desk! We arrived early so he made suggestions re places to eat. Then he offered to call us when our room was ready. He did everything possible to insure a perfect weekend for us! Can't wait to return to the hotel! July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Like Sleeping on a Cloud! The beds were sooo comfortable ... and the pillows ... oh my goodness, the pillows! One of the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. This was was a great first experience traveling with my dog as well -- they are super pet friendly! August 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by SUPER Service and attention This hotel remembered to give wedding attendees gift bags at check in. Pool hours were lengthy to accomodate distance travellers. Let us have late check out to accomodate the wedding scheduling. Wedding planner has great attention to detail. Refrigerator was delivered quickly. Free water bottles were much appreciated. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet where the staff was very accomodating with special needs such as late schedule and soy milk. July 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great Time untill day of check out. During the majority of our time there it was enjoyable until the morning we were going to leave. We got in late Saturday night and set a wake up call with the front desk for 11 am to check out by noon. However, housekeeping tryied to get in the room twice at 8:30am and again at 10am, three times before our scheduled wake up call. I was very angry that I was not able to get a good nights sleep as I felt as housekeeping had no idea and was pushing out of the room. I will not pay to stay there again. April 21, 2014
