Some how our room was tagged as going green. basically what we got was absolutely nothing. No Housekeeping at all. In fact they never even entered our room. That means that the trash does not get emptied, the in room coffee does not get replenished. NOTHING.. after the 3 day of being completely ignored we asked the front desk exactly why. That's when we learned that our room had been tagged as green. I am all for going green but that usually does not mean that you are completely ignored by the hotel staff. Anyway we got that taken care of and our room was serviced by housekeeping. Well, we then found dried blood on the comforter. Really?? I was totally frustrated with this stay. We have stayed at this hotel several times before it was purchased by the Sharaton and always enjoyed our stay. Now that the Sheraton has taken over, things have gone down hill. I really don't understand why, as I have stayed in several Sheraton properties with great success. This property definitely has room for improvement. I will seriously think twice before I stay at this location in the future.

When you travel a lot for work, hotels can become kind of weary. Ive been travelling to and from this hotel for almost 6 months now and this place is like a second home. The staff will meet your needs. I even asked for a microwave once and they put it in my room! The sky lounge is awesome.. the chef makes these chocolate chip scones... ahhhmazing. The staff is super polite, and the gym is good. Ive even learned to swim while staying here. The shuttle drivers are also the best!

we ordered a strawberry double strawberry daq. and double jack and diet coke and there was white chips of plastic or foreign objects and drinks and the ice had slime over it. brought back to bartender and several other people had it also. took for ever to replace for 21.00 it was terrible. the next nite all soda machines did not have any coke in them. on floor 35, 34,33, 32, 31, 30, 28 finally gave up and still the next morning it wasnt filled.

We stayed at hotel because we have a friend who works at the hotel. When we walked in we didn't have anything luggage because we are local. Checking in they asked what was the occasion, we told them "Wedding Weekend" After talking to them about it they found out we were doing a small justice of the peace style. They treated us fantastic. Comped Valet, Internet, Upgraded Us, told us they wanted to make our weekend special. The room was amazing, the breakfast and hors d'oeuvres were amazing. They brought up wine and champagne to us while getting ready and after. Valet had my name down by then end of the week, and the pool was great. It was on the roof of I the third floor, I believe, so the view was great. I would defiantly go back and recommend this hotel and staff to anyone. 2nd stay at a Starwood hotel and both have lived up to expectations.

The service and food in both the breakfast/lunch restaurant and the sports bar were quite dreadful. It took forever to get waited on, even though they weren't busy, and when the food finally came it was not good. The cobb salad consisted of rusty lettuce and tasteless soggy tomatoes with a couple slices of avocado, no disernable bacon and no dressing. The water tasted like chlorine. Must have been the ice cubes since the waiter tried giving me two other glasses (when I finally got his attention). Although the bar closes at midnight they stopped serving alcohol at 11:35 even though the place was packed and there were people lined up at the bar trying to get attention.
By the end of the week there was a change over in staffing (closer to the weekend) and the breakfast/lunch waiter was far more attentive. I could go on and on with examples of terrible service and bad food, but you get the point.

I have been so impressed with the entire staff at Sheraton, all are warm and friendly, place in immaculate, they are like family and make me feel that way. When I was ill during one stay, they made sure I had hot tea and honey; on my birthday they sang "happy birthday" to me in Spectator's. I was Traveler of the Week and enjoyed the best of the best, Skies and Executive Suite, cleanliness, professionalism, my thanks to every one of you at Sheraton Crowne Center.

We were at this facility for a convention of 2300+ the staff from maintenance to upper management went above and beyond to help our event go smoothly. They should all be corned on their excellence and representation of hotel brand! Rated 3 out of 5 by Washington The lounge upstairs on the 43rd floor was great however no one told us how to get access to it until we asked the day before we left. Ashley is great!
The rooms were noisy. We could here the shower running above us. The doors slam when they close, so as guests are coming in late it's noisy! I need quiet to sleep and it wasn't here. The staff was great ! We used the valet service and they were outstanding. This hotel needs a nice restaurant, where u can sit down and eat and visit. The restaurant they have has the bar in the middle and was noisy. Went to the room and ordered room service which was outstanding.

my stay this was just okay. Good points was staff was excellent in assisting in my needs like the service desk was able to get me a phone charger when mine was damaged in my flight into Kansas City and made sure that kept me informed in all the sites and going ons in the area. I did ask to have some look at the lack of hot water but was told I had to run the water for a couple of minutes before the hot water would come, but it never came( 2 cold showers )

Room was nice and comfortable. Down side was charge of $9.95 for internet, cable and satellite TV were questionable when trying to watch the world series.

the hotel was excellent. the only thing was the pool - we had kids with us that wanted to go swimming & it states it is a heated outdoor pool - well the pool was FREEZING. that was the only thing. the kids tried but it was too cold.
but i would definitely stay there again -will be going back to Kansas a lot!

In all the hotels I have stayed at ANYWHERE, I have never been charged for internet access. I think that $9.95 per day to check your e-mail is just a little over the high end. Couldn't even go downstairs and check it without paying for it. This was enough to tell me that I was not welcomed, even as an S.P.G. member

I work in a hotel and am very picky . Everything hotel wise was absolutely wonderfull. The guest representative who checked me in was very helpfull.The only 2 things I did not like were that I had to pull out the refrigerator and turn the tempurature way down to keep my drinks cold and the bartender in the sports bar was very rude and the server was lazy. I had to get up from our table to order at the bar twice when they weren't busy at all.

The hotel is beautiful and is in a great location. The room itself was not properly cleaned; when we opened the shade we found Cheetos on the window sill, the beds looked like someone had recently laid on the covers - the under-covers were bunched and overall the bed looked messy, there was a hair dryer in the bathroom on a shelf that looked to be a prior guests' not a hotel supplied dryer as that was on the wall, the glasses had fingerprints and smudges as if they had not been through a dishwasher, and when we opened the door to the microwave there was a receipt for pizza delivery. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and we assumed the beds were clean, just not made properly. As the hotel was overwhelmed with guests we did not complain as we did not have proper time to deal with the issues as we needed to be someplace shortly after check-in.

This is a wonderful facility - from the time you arrive to the hotel through to registrion, the staff is extremely curtious. My entire experience was having the comforts of home. The room was fantastic, food was excellent and I would recommend it as a great spot to stay in.

I go to KC on business fairly often and this is my favorite place to stay. The hotel is well equipped, good location and offers hotel shuttle during certain times of the day. Staff are great! If this location is unavailable when I want to travel - I consider changing dates.

The Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center was exceptional. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Overall a very wonderful experience!

One single person who made this hotel my 'home' is Myra Byrd in the cafe. She makes my latte with a smile and it tastes like what my mom or sister would have done for me. Once I was sick and when she saw I was not ordering my daily latte, came over and upon finiding my issue, ran over to kitchen to get a bunch of crackers to go with my gatorate. 4 years ago but I will never forget.She is awesome and please recoginze..

the water / plumbing problems need to be addressed.
The ironing board in my room was broken and I had to rig it to fix it.
Is there going to be a dinning room in this hotel ever?
had to attempt to sign into 4 different computers just to get one to sign in for flight information.... and when I finally signed in... it was under my roommates name not mine... which both of us were on the room, showed i.d.'s and more... this is ridiculous!!!

The hotel and conference rooms were well-suited for the competition venue. This is the second time we have attended competition at the hotel and hope for similar events in the near future. The room in which we stayed was excellent.

Thank you for a great get-away for our anniversary. The staff asked the reason for our stay and we received a great upgrade when we told them we were celebrating our 23rd anniversary weekend. Awesome view of the KC skyline and easy access to many area restaurants. Everyone was friendly and very accomodating. I would reccomend this hotel to friends and would stay there again anytime. Thanks for a memorable weekend !

The Sheraton Kansas City, MO has some gems in the staff but the facility needs to be mechanically updated, plumbing and heating/ cooling. Also cleaning staff should pay attention to detail like emptying room wastebaskets, replacing cups, ensuring rooms have functional equipment and city info that is current. I had a travel guide in my room from 2012 and I stayed in 2013. Also keep the public areas clean ( I.e. carpeting).

The bill for my stay was, and still is messed up. I traveled there for a conference in which my school district paid for (or was supposed to pay for) by check. The hotel took the check AND charged MY credit card $721 for the stay!
The food was only okay for the prices charged.
Thank goodness the guy who checked me out is working to solve the problem b/c someone else sure didn't pay attention to the details that were documented.

I disagree with your all or none green policy. I'm fine with my sheets not being washed each day or my towels not being washed each day, but I think my trash should be emptied, my bed should be made, and I should have a clean drinking glass, at least. Your policy is that housekeeping doesn't even come in the room if you choose the green option. To me this seems like a way to save money on housekeeping, not a way to be "green."

The hotel room was nice, however the other guest were not. Everyone in my party went to bed around 1:30am after the new years party we attended. Throughout the night I knew people would be going back to their room and there would be noise. I was not prepared however for guest to be outside my room from 2:30am-3:45am smoking (and leaving butts everywhere), yelling and also trying to enter my room multiple times. It was awful.

Recently attended the Camex 2013 Trade Show in Kansas City and stayed at the Sheraton Crown Center. The hotel and staff were exceptional. The location to the Convention Center was perfect and I loved the walkway connectors to the Crown Center. Never had to put on a coat and walk out in the cold when going to restaurants and shopping. Also loved that the hotel offered shuttle service to the various restaurants in the area.
