My overall experience was good. Typically a hotel A/C can freeze food if you wish. Not the case here. The standard rooms with king beds are very spacious, roughly 600+ sq-ft. But they only have one small 10-12" square vent that is located adjacent the window and the thermostat is just a few inches below. The weather in KC this week was still in the low 80's. I had to set the thermostat as low as I could and even attempted to cover the thermostat with my hat to prevent it from shutting off to soon. Just to make it bearable.

We never expect to actually be in our hotel much, but we really noticed this stay was great all around. The front desk was very friendly, and accommodating. The valet was quick, and convenient. I forgot my toothbrush so they ran up a whole little kit, which was nice because I was about to go out and find a drug store to buy one. That saved a trip. Our room was very clean and had a nice view! We went to the Spectator bar one evening and had a few drinks and ordered a pizza, it was very good as well. All around I very much enjoy this hotel. Would definitely stay here each time I visit KC!

The people and the place were great.
The staff was cordial and responsive to my questions or needs.
The housekeeping staff was excellent.
I will stay at the Sheridan again if I am in the area.
(Love the tunnel that connected to the Westin, convenient to meeting friends that stayed at the Westin).

This has been my choice hotel for lodging during an annual continuing education conference. Because a few thousand of my colleagues are in town for the same conference, many local hotels participate in various special offers to accommodate attendees. This time, the offered specials were not honored at checkout. Not a lot of money involved, but inconvenient.

We have stayed here many times over the years, and have always been pleased. The rooms are very quiet, beds are good, air conditioning good and quiet. It has a great location and nice public spaces. This last visit had a couple problems. The TV didn't work when we came in (they fixed it while we were out to dinner, so unsure what was going on). The clock was unplugged. Both of these problems required us crawling around on the floor to reach/check plugs. It seems the electrical system needs updating - they are using power strips to plug everything in - unsightly. And there were insufficient staff for the check ins - we had to wait more than 15 minutes in line - unacceptable.

My sister had to be in KC on short notice. She had failed to book a hotel. I called and was able to get a room late into the night and with no hassle. The actual staff on site was amazing. After I booked via the telephone my sister showed up and was treated in a way to show that the staff wanted her to be there and to relax and enjoy. Everything we needed was already there in the staff. My sister and her children were simply amazed that even late at night everything was put to task. Great job. I am very pleased with the results of this stay especially the staff. As far as the complex itself, this hotel is beautiful with views that are photographic in all directions.

As I entered into the beautiful lobby and reached the front desk, I was greeted by warm and welcoming front desk people. I entered into my room which was clean and comfortable.
