Restaurant for Breakfast in the morning, waiter did not say anything, bad services & very rude.
Seems like this hotel staff did not like SPG members.

Wine choices very limited in bar ( no cabernet or merlot left at 6p.m. slow food service.
Much better options available in Tampa.

Rooms, Decor, Service fall well short of all the Starwood properties I have experienced over 10 years. It appeared that every expense was spared in the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel.

Every room allows pets and uses down comforters so if you have allergies you will be reminded quickly.
The method of payment for the grab n go breakfast too confusing for staff! They were incapable of pricing and adding what we ate then I was almost charged someone else's bill because the ladies at the bar didn't understand the words coming out of my mouth, so I had to talk with the check-in counter to correct the issue.
Same confusion happened at the sit down lunch with 3 other bills. The food was fresh but again no service. If you like waiting 20 minutes for your iced tea, this is the place to stay.
Refrigerators in the rooms are too small.
No free wifi
The decoration with rocks on the 3rd floor turned into projectiles with children who were trying to throw rocks to the lower level and if they missed the lower edge on the second floor, rocks will drop in the lobby. Luckily nobody was hurt!
Staff was disrespectful
Nobody ever came to clean both of our rooms in 3 days.
Front desk gave us bad directions twice using mapquest, not sure how that happens but it just shows the quality of staff they hire

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bkd57 Customer Consideration Lacking
We've stayed in many Florida hotels and resorts and have never had a lizard in our room. But, we found one in the bedroom when we arrived and for this quality of hotel, found that unacceptable.
Then, we had no hot water for our showers and was not notified of a problem. When we reported it the next day, we were told that pipes were being worked on. Again, unacceptable. We should have been notified of the water issue upon check-in.
The lighting is horrible in the living area, there is no microwave or fridge, the tv remotes do not work half the time and the closet light in the bedroom area comes on when you turn the bathroom light on, with a slatted closet door, so it lights up the whole room. The furniture is not comfortable and the fabric, although probably very durable, is very scratchy and stiff.
We had to stay an additional night, unexpectedly, and even though we specified that we wanted to use our points and get a special rate, we were charged four times more. The manager was not timely in responding to this issue and we had to repeatedly call and/or go down to the front desk to get the situation resolved.
Customer consideration was lacking during our entire stay. However, the manager finally did comp the room for one night and refunded our points. But, we lost 1000 points for not utilizing maid service while we were there and it will take 7-10 days for our money to be refunded to our bank account.
Management at this hotel needs to start taking care of the guest better. The issues we experienced made our trip very stressful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Unhappytraveler Worst Sheraton Stay Ever
I've staying in Sheraton properties for many years and have typically had great experiences. However, this was the exception. Let's go down the list of what needs improvement.
1. Front Desk - There was no one waiting to check in ahead of me so I asked the clerk if he could help me - the answer I received was "I suppose so". The rest of the check in process went OK after that.
2. Cleanliness: We stayed on the 5th Floor (concierge) and the carpets were dirty in the hallways, we found broken glass on the floor and during our weekend stay I don't think they ever vacuumed the hallways.
3. Room: Bed and pillows very uncomfortable – OK if you like pillows that are so soft that you sink right to the mattress. Room smelled like mold. The first day we were there it rained quite hard and it was apparent that the balcony was not properly designed. Water came through the bottom of the sliding glass door and sat in the inside tracks. Television – channels actually on the TV were not the same as the channels posted in the room information. Also, no “Do Not Disturb” sign in the room.
4. Sheraton Club: Service was great here. The people working the room were very attentive and helpful. However, we paid additional $$$ per day for the breakfast and evening Hors D’oeuvre’s. These were both very disappointing. A single hot plate and a few cold selections. Certainly not worth the extra money spent.
5. Internet: We paid more than $100 each night of our stay and the hotel still wanted a extra fee per day for internet access – this is an item which should be routinely included in this type of Hotel.
Overall, I have to say this was absolutely my worst experience staying at a Sheraton property. In addition to the above, the power went out 3 times during our 2 day stay. Definitely do not recommend spending your $$$ here unless you need to be at this location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CB30 Mixed review, not quite up to usual standards
The best things about this hotels is the amazing staff on the desk and at the bar and restaurant. Extremely friendly and helpful. Shame the hotel rooms aren't quite up to usual Sheraton standards, this was a very noisy hotel, the interlocking door between rooms lets in a lot of noise and you can hear nearly everything your neighbor says. It was a nice extra to have a balcony with most rooms but there was no spa/jacuzzi. Pool and weight room were good. Locaton of the hotel is a bit isolated, there are not many good restaurants nearby. The cafe/restaurant on site was pretty good which is just as well considering the location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by roadwarrior club lounge below expectation
This hotel was very nice. My complaint it with the club lounge on 5th floor. it was MINIMALLY stocked. There are 2 refrigerator/coolers but they were only about 10% stocked. They were not replenished the entire 24 hours I was at the hotel. I had to ask for diet coke - which I was quickly given from the storage room - but the attendant did not refill the cooler. Water ran out and was not replinished. These ran out during the open hours when the attendant was working and she did not refill for the day or the evening. Food choices were also minimal. This could be a great hotel but for the executive road warrior, I expect a Sheraton to have a nice executive club lounge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marc8 You're almost there...!
After a $10MM renovation this hotel is an unknown gem. The lobby alone makes you feel invigorated with a beautiful water feature. Club level is perfect with its restricted elevator access. The Sheraton club is nice but could stand to improve the austerity of its design and upgrade the quality of some of the available food staples i.e. the breads/bagels seem very basic. Maybe consider a flavored cream cheese like Chive or salmon spread?
When extending your stay the variety becomes very monotonous. Overall, I will return to this hotel but I will remember to bring my own foam pillows and hope for a more comfy bed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ginstar Terrible restaurant experience
I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, it was a terrible service experience. I waited at the hostess stand, waitress saw me said nothing, went back to what she was doing, finally sat me down, waited for coffee and menu. Ordered finally and with only three tables waited over ten minutes for a broken yolk sandwich, when it was delivered by a second waitress she asked if I wanted anything else (coffee cup was completely empty). I asked for my check, two employees got into a discussion so I finally got up and got the check from the person so I could sign and finally get out of there. Terrible service, won't be back to the hotel again unless I must because other associates are staying there.

I am in the lodging business and that has unfortunaly set my standards for any accomodation very high. I have to say I was impressed. I would have to start with chek in. the Front desk(Denisse) was very professional and very Helpful. The room was very clean the beds were comfortable and the room ammenites were adequate. Had a little problem with our lock when we got there it was taken care of immediately. Maintenance even followed up with us to make sure it was working properly.. wow someone who cares. I would definetely reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LeslieBeslie Great features but shuttle service needs work...
This is an excellent hotel to stay in. Rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet. Perfect hotel to stay at for concerts at the Amphitheater. My only complaint is that the free shuttle service does not pick you up at the venue after shows at the Amphitheater. My little sister and I had to run across the busy road to get to our pick up spot at a Five Guys! Not sure if I will do that again. The hotel should coordinate a safer place on the same side of the road to pick up guests. A bigger bus would also help as the driver had to make numerous trips to pick up all the guests who had attended the concert.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Taylor45 This hotel is a great rennovated property, but customer service fell short..
As soon as I came into the lobby I was amazed by how beautiful it was. The front desk staff was very friendly. HOWEVER, not a single employee was memorable. In fact, the girls in the restaurant were not friendly at all. I felt like I was a burden. I simply asked for a piece of fruit to buy shortly after I checked in, and after she got it for me, she took care of other guests before taking my payment. I was just standing there awkwardly waiting for a good 5 minutes while they leisurely seated the people behind me and took their order......I would remind everyone that a smile can change everything.....

The staff very nice. Environment very clean. Comfortable beds.
I stayed here for a near by concert and neglected to fill out a delivery time for my continental breakfast that needed to be posted by midnight. At 11:30 p.m., I tried to call the extension left on my phone message for delivered, no answer. The front desk said they had already left and she wrote a note, but didn't know if they would receive it. They didn't. When I called in the morning about my order, it was delivered, but all items were À la carte. My $10 breakfast turned into $25.
Also, the balcony door had to be unlocked by maintenance because the block at the bottom was tightened with a hex tool and I left mine at home. A note of instruction would have been nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Penryn nicely surprised
I've always stayed at other Starwood properties in the Tampa area and chose this one simply because of the location next to I-75. I stayed an extra night because I fell in ove with the pool! Front desk kept telling me I was in a suite, so they need to go look at the room.. it was NOT a suite, but that was ok. It was a nice "room". Love the espresso machine in the club lounge. Would have better loved a room overlooking pool (than highway) but it was fine for a couple of nights. There was a small balcony but the door would not open. Staff was very nice. I will go back to swim more laps!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Craig63 Hotel Review for September 2013 Stay
Check-in was not as smooth as most of my Starwood check-ins. The gentleman was a bit distracted and preoccupied.
The room was not clean. There was some type of pink power under the glass top on the night stand. The carpet had glitter on it. The room and the hall were not vacuumed during my stay. I walked barefoot on the carpet and then stepped into the shower. My feet had black dirt on them from the carpet. Also, the lamp on the desk is not good for task work as it is so low. I had to work on the bed in order to see.
I was attending a conference. The hotel staff who worked the event (catering, wait staff) were excellent and very friendly. They did a very good job. The food served for lunches and dinner were very good as well.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. I like it and it is close to my customer. However on 11/20/13 I did not receive my wakeup call. I was not a happy camper.
In me rush to get to my customer I took a wrong turn. I passed a hotel that I believe I will try next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Roman13 Exceeded my expectations
Quick get-away stay w/ my husband; this hotel exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated w/ lots of space and comfort. The restaurant food was very, very good. All staff we encountered was incredibly polite & helpful. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable... We couldn't have asked for more! We have decided we are definitely returning. There isn't a lot near the property but they offer shuttle service to near locations (casino) and I expect the majority of guests have their own transportation anyway. Definitely including pool & spa on our next visit.

Beautiful hotel with great staff! I come here every month for four days and Heather and Derek at the bar are awesome! They always treat you with the same enthusiasm. Their customer service and helpfulness are great. Honestly cant say enough good things about them. Randy is an exceptional staff member, he is always available to help and very respectful as well. And Heather (front desk) has been of great help since my first stay, always going above and beyond to make my stay pleasurable.

The hotel was very nice & clean. The shuttle bus to & from event was fantastic. I do have 1 complaint. I was there with 3 other people, we had requested adjoining rooms. When we arrived we were told yes we could have adjoining rooms but they were not ready yet, to come back in an hour. After having lunch we returned & there was someone else working the front desk & we were told that there were no adjoining rooms available. I was very disappointed. Other than that everyone was friendly

This is a very nice hotel and it met my needs as a disabled person. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was great especially Denise, She personally walked us to the elevator and pointed out the restaurant and lounge area. The shuttle driver was especially nice also and made sure we know how to get back from the casino because he wouldn't be able to pick us up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Duggle Not the best experience
I arrived to find out that due to SPG Platinum status, I had been "upgraded". While I agree that the room was a suite, it was one of the few rooms at the hotel without a balcony, was on the third floor, had a view of the lobby level roof, and was right behind the elevator. Is that really an upgrade? There was also an amazing amount of noise, between the people having parties on their balconies and others turning their televisions extremely loud, likely to cover the other noise. I was very unimpressed.
