I have stayed at this beautiful resort many times and the staff continues to amaze me with their professionalism and kindness.
I would especially like to compliment Jamie (a greeter in the lobby) for always making us feel so special and for always greeting us with a smile and a warm welcome! Every time I stay at this resort he immediately comes over to say hello during the checkin process and greets my family by name. He is a very special part of this hotel and it's always nice to see him!
I would also like to say a huge thank you to Casey at the front desk department. She continues to go out of her way to make sure that we are comfortable and happy during each stay and she is the epitome of what a consummate professional should be. Her attention to detail is why we continue to choose the Sheraton Waikiki every time we are in Honolulu!
This wonderful resort keeps us coming back time and time again due to the wonderful staff.

I was disappointed by my overall experience at this hotel. The room was very run down with rust stains in the bath tub, missing chunks of grout around outside of tub, dirty floors and chipped furniture. While getting ready for dinner there was no hot water ( was fixed when we returned later that evening). At the breakfast buffet (which is $35/pp) we had to ask 3 times for a high chair, which we ended up getting ourselves. No offer of water, had to flag someone down to get it and we were only given 2 place settings for our party of 3 for the entire duration of our meal. The pool is great for kids and we did enjoy our time there.

The Sheraton Waikiki was our last stay on a 13 day island hopping vacation. What a better way to end a vacation than to stay on the famous Waikiki Beach? Don't book here. We were not greeted at the front desk with a warm Hawaiian o'hana welcome. Were about 5 deep in line (20+min) to check in with 1 front desk person. We were not given a list of events or told anything about the property except there was an iPad in our room explaining everything. No excitement from the front desk. Concierge was unavailable and when we checked later - we would have been the 4th group in line. Did not waste time on that- we just figured it out on out own or on the iPad. We were just another room of thousands of people coming and going. Getting through the lobby to our room is basically a shopping mall as busy as any mall on black friday. Our room was on the 29th floor right in the middle of the hotel. Had we known, we could have requested a room on the right side of the property looking towards the ocean we could have had a view of the actual beach and Diamond Head Crater. But to enjoy these views, a private balcony would be necessary. The balcony was basically a shared balcony where there is no privacy divider between 2 rooms. You can actually access the other room by a tiny little walk way btw the rooms. I had no interest in getting to know my neighbors for a number of reasons and they were ALWAYS on the balcony no matter what time we stepped out there. The view was straight into the ocean with a glimpse of the pool area. The surf is shored up with unsightly cinder blocks as well as cinder blocks lined up out in the ocean perpendicular to the horizon as to make the property line even though all beach and ocean is public in Hawaii. The beach area is microscopic. Take note that they say you can dine at any other SPG properties --- the dining options here are very limited as far as what the hotel provides. So disappointing to know that they market this as a beach hotel and ended our Hawaiian trip on such a disappointing property with a room in a shopping mall. Had we booked here for more than one night- I would have moved properties. And the icing on the cake is that we were not awarded our SPG points bc our travel agent booked our room, not us. Fine print apparently - currently looking for a new hotel rewards program after being loyal SPG members for a number of years.

Location of the hotel is excellent - one the best locations in Waikiki. The property and the area seem to be safe. The location l makes it easy to enjoy Oahu without rental car. The hotel is very busy which is mostly reflected around pool: pool chairs may not be always available and the pool was closed several times for hours during our stay, but the ocean is just steps away. The staff are always very helpful (the pool staff didn't seem to have the same customer service level as others). Some guests are smokers and the second hand smoke can be bothersome to non-smoker hotels guests. Overall great place to stay in Oahu. I wish I had double checked the credit card charges during the check out:- I assumed that I will be charged on the credit card I gave during the check in and not the card which is attached to my SPG member account.For whatever reason, I was charged on both cards : one part on the credit card attached to my SPG card and the other part on the credit card swiped during the check in - I was disappointed that I wasn't charged the full amount on the card which was swiped during the check in - the portion that ended up on the wrong credit card ultimately resulted in additional cost for me due to unfavorable exchange rate and the additional card fees.

We had an amazing vacation surfing Waikiki, waterpark, hiking Diamond Head, visiting family on the North Shore etc., but what made it all easy and relaxing was the Sheraton hospitality. The staff standouts were Cheryl at the front desk, Lenn , Mariana and the rest @Leahi Lounge. We were also impressed by the valet staff. Friendly and efficient all in all Above and beyond expectations . We will be back and will be sure to recommend it to others. A hui hou!

We stayed at this beautiful resort over the weekend and want to say a sincere thank you to the front desk manager, Casey. She is a consummate professional and always greets us with a warm smile and makes us feel very welcomed at this hotel. Even though her job is very demanding, she always takes the time to welcome us back to the resort and shows a genuine interest in my family. This is the reason that we continue to be so loyal to the Sheraton Waikiki and this resort has the best staff that you will find in Honolulu! Thank you to Casey, your kindness and professionalism is very much appreciated.

We had a great stay. The hotel was right on the ocean. The beds were very comfortable. The ocean front room was well worth the cost. I would recommend a higher floor to reduce the noise level. All staff we interacted with were helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay in Waikiki at this Sheraton. The room was great and the staff was very friendly and cooperative. The only odd thing was that the front desk told me i had to pay for internet but it was free when i got to the room.
