Everything was great but the breakfast. We always get the club house floor with breakfast but really never have time to make it to the breakfast…this time we did… last time I thought it was just a miss app but now its the 3rd time….The staff is great but the food is not. If you guys were to change the breakfast it would be PERFECT

The staff at this Sheraton went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. They really deserve a lot of praise. We stayed in room 1503 and although the temperature was below freezing outside, we sweltered in the room and could not get it cool enough to sleep. Also, there was a non-stop drip somewhere in the walls or ceiling that kept us awake.

Made a reservation for an accessible King bed with roll in shower. Upon checking in at 3 PM was told no room existed.. then gave me the only accessible room available with 2 double beds and a tub. I am very disappointed with Sheraton.

This was our first trip to the DC area and therefore our first stay at Silver Springs Sheraton. From the day we checked in we were greated with friendly faces at the check in desk. When we arrived in our room we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and everything was just right. We stayed for 3 nights - the Club level breakfast each morning was perfect. We had plenty of options to choose from and the food temp was perfect and tasty. Evening appetizers I will say were a bit disappointing. Options were few and limited quanities. We also ate in the hotel resturant one night and were a bit unhappy, for 1 reason the menu was different downstairs from what we was published in our room; 2nd reason is we waited a long time for our food. But honestly that is really the only negative thing I can say. Overall experience was a good one. We did not use the hotel pool but I did go down to take a look at it and the fitness center and they both excellent. I will also mention that we used our Sheraton Starwood Points for this stay and we appreciated the discount on the daily parking. Will just say again everyone from the parking attendant; front desk and the Club wait staff were always friendly and a pleasure our entire visit. Thank you!

From the moment i walked into the door, I was awed by the outstanding customer service of both L.A (evening check-in) and Allison (morning check-out). These two employees made my experience at the Sheraton.
Their outstanding customer service skills have set the benchmark for other Starwood resorts. I would highly recommend this hotel based on the excellent care and treatment I received.

This is a great hotel to stay in for a short period such as a business trip. I do appreciate the complimentary refrigerator, internet access, and parking since I was expected to stay here for over 30 days. That helped defray the cost of the hotel. Also, I do want to recognize Allison at the front desk for having patience and assisting me. The restaurant downstairs (MICA) was great and the food during Happy Hour was very good and reasonably priced.

My fiance and I stayed at the Silver Spring location on New Years Eve and the hotel met all our expectations and we had a wonderful time. The reason I am coming back two months later is because of Ruth. She went above and beyond to find a pair of shoes and shirt that we left on January 1st. Since it was so long ago I gave up and told her "thank you for trying". Well she didn't give up and called me back a couple days later saying she found them! It is little things like this that will turn me into a repeat customer to any business.

Upon arrival and check-in the first thing I get is a "By the way there is a $14 charge for parking per night" which wasn't noted in the reservation. Then I asked for the free breakfast as the platinum amenity and they give me one breakfast for myself and nothing for my wife. So that's lead to the first argument. At checkout, we get charged for Internet service in the room and I go back and forth with the reception lady about that is a complimentary service for platinum at all Starwood hotels and she tells me twice that it's only free if you stay on the club level. When I see I'm getting nowhere with this, I ask for a manager and suddenly she reverses course and removes the charge. Either she gets a cut of the additional charges or she doesn't know her job.

I really enjoyed my stay this weekend. I was down visiting family and my daughter participated in the March on Washington. I was able to walk everywhere I went, restaurants and shopping and I have limited ability. The Mica restaurant was very good for breakfast both days. My only complaint was that the bathtub was very slippery when showering. My daughter slipped although she did not get hurt but I was afraid of falling. However there was a bar to hold on to. Overall this was a good weekend stay.

While the beds are soft and the pillows softer, the staff at this hotel made up for it with rock hard service. Ruth in housekeeping kept me from loosing a cherished coat, helped me change rooms from a noisy one and then remembered my name every time she saw me for the next few days. Bobbi who took my call for gluten free food at room service was so careful and thoughtful to make sure that I had what I needed.

The Hotel was clean and the room was pleasant.
The hotel did not provide toiletries.
The service was extremely slow both in the restaurant and at the check-in and check out. The computer and the printer were not working on the check-out day.
In the restaurant the buffet was empty, our credit card was misplaced and in general it took for ever to get a check and go back to our meeting.

We chose to stay here for its location as we have been to the DC area a lot and like visiting different areas. The location is fantastic, next to the Mall (?), restaurants, train, movie theatres and accessibility to the highway. We could walk 2 blocks to just about anything we wanted to do including the Farmers Market on Saturday. However, we got a little crowded with 2 double beds and wanted a roll away and were denied. The room service was good and the food was excellent

The hotel is a little bit old but is clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. On our departure day my girlfriend was sick and I asked for late check out. The staff quickly checked room availability and kindly allowed us to leave at 1 pm, although I have not achieve gold membership yet.
The only problem I would say is the wifi service. The hotel charges $10 per day per device so I could not connect my iphone to the internet after my laptop, unless I pay another $10.

The front desk staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The first room we were given had a foul odor from someone smoking in it and had several burns in the carpet (rm 1015),, the desk quickly gave us another room which was fresh smelling,, it was not "renovated" as your web page states,, I have stayed in this hotel when it was a Crown Plaza so I know the hotel,, the towel rack above the tub was rusty, no anti slip treads in the tub and it was extremely hard to pull up the "stopper" on the tub spout to get the shower to engage. Also, the stopper in the sink did not stay up,, I finally wedged the soap dish under it so I could keep water in the sink. I like this hotel for it's proximity to family in the area,, the staff is very good and our room was cleaned and straightened up very well. I also like being able to access my car when I need it.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very large. The conference rooms were set up well and the staff was very helpful. I have two suggestions: there was no guide to the hotel's services in the room necessitating several calls to the front desk; the bathtub has a slippery surface and although I requested a rubber mat from Housekeeping it was never delivered.

I was on this trip for a conference hosted there. The facilities were good. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.However, the rate was a bit pricey for my tastes.
It is close to the Metro Redline station and multiple bus routes. Although it is challenging to get to an early flight to National Airport.

Hotel pretty worn down, outside the lobby. Well below standards to be expected of Sheraton, much less SPG. Wallpaper peeling, sloppy paint job in room, hot water began to be intermittent second morning. Needs non-slip bathtub mat. Garage parking is atrocious to the point of being dangerous. Arrival access is very limited. Kept getting dropped on my pda conference calls. On the other hand staff including hospitality staff, were excellent.

Had to switch rooms after we arrived. The second room was no better than the first. Carpet had burn holes in it in both rooms. The first room looked like someone had recently slept in it. My wife was horrified. The air conditioner was very loud, at times it sounded like a motorcycle was attempting to ride thru the room.

My husband and I were in town for just one night visiting family. Our room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly. We requested late check out and it was granted right away, which is always nice when you want to relax a little and not rush to get out the door. There's also a parking lot right behind the hotel with free parking on the weekends, which saved us a few bucks. I'd definitely stay here again.

We were repeat customers. We had a contract to host an annual bridge tournament at this hotel. We signed the contract and paid a deposit 6 months prior to the event. Just 3 days before the tournament was scheduled to start, the hotel kicked us out and sent us to a sister hotel. The space we contracted for was not available. We were refused any consideration. The sales representative avoided speaking with us.

Our room had more than enough space for us, all our belongings and the extra shopping bags we picked up being in such close proximity to the mall. It was an ideal location, close enough to everything, yet far enough away that our stay was quiet and comfortable. The staff was ecellent, attentive without being intrusive. This is our new home away from home for trips to the Baltimore/DC area!

Excellent first time experience. Staff went out of their way including the Saturday am shuttle driver. Convenient to the Metro (when it is running). Room was well done and the Club Lounge was one of the best I have visited. Only a few short blocks from all of Silver Spring's downtown attractions. Will be back next time I am in town as this is a great alternative to downtown DC.

Noisy neighbors till past midnight.Again there was banging on the next door at 4 am.The lighting in the entrance and the bathroom is very weak.Otherwise comfortable beds.Breakfast buffet was ok.

We had chosen this hotel as it was well outside of DC, but within easy access to the Metro to get to all the sites.
The hotel is partly renovated, has friendly and efficient service. Rooms are clean and come with a decent coffee maker. To our surprise the restaurant offers good food, the bar great drinks and this all with very friendly service - and a smile. We liked it!

Room was clean, neat. Hotel staff was polite and informative on places to go and what to do in the area. I was very impressed with the location and decor of the hotel. All in all, I had a terrific experience and would reccommend this hotel to everybody. Their ballroom was lovely and if I were staying in town, I would not hesitate to have an event here. Food was delicious!

My overnight stay was wonderful. The room was clean and also had a clean smell upon entering. The linen was fresh and also...every part of the bathroom was clean! Normally, staying at other hotels, the corners are dirty...especially in the bathroom (either with hair or dust or both). You guys had neither. Thanks again for making my stay a home away from home!
