Rated 2 out of 5 by David In-room Internet VERY Poor
The hotel is great. However, if you need to get work done, you can't depend on the internet. Really a shame, because the hotel and facilities are excellent. They need to seriously upgrade their internet service in-room. So, if you don't need to work, enjoy it. If you need to work, careful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loree52 Fabulous in every respect
Stayed here twice recently coming into and going out of Madrid. The property itself is great: large, comfortable, nicely appointed rooms and just a short ride to the airport (shuttle included). The service is on a par with any of the 60+ Starwood properties We've stayed at over the years. The staff is exceptionally accommodating from the front desk to the executive lounge. A late dinner one night at the hotel was a pleasant surprise . If you don't need to be in the heart of Madrid you won't find better !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TimTrish A wonderful place to stay
This hotel is excellent...need I say anymore? The quality is very evident from the moment you are greeted by the staff and walk in. Facilities are really great (Gym, Spa, Pool etc). The gym has some state of the art equipment. Rooms are very comfortable with small kitchenette /bar. The views across the plains to the snow capped mountains are very compelling. Club lounge has to be one of the best we have used . Location is ideal with 5/10 min walk to Metro that takes you all across Madrid. Visited twice now and just booked a 3rd trip .....Fantasico

Rated 5 out of 5 by livesinhotels Unexpected surprise
From the moment I entered the hotel, I felt like a celebrity. Everyone on the staff greeted me and was friendly and helpful. The Rooms Mgr, Jorge, came out to personally welcome me. He provided info on guest access to the beautiful adjoining spa-much appreciated after having flown 16 hrs. The room was just amazing! Even though I'm a Platinum SPG, I was not given an upgraded room, but had full access to the nice club lounge. There was also a lovely pineapple fresh fruit welcoming gift w/the word aloha written in icing-wonderful personal touch. I had initial trouble connecting onto wifi; Jorge came up himself to connect my computer. Exceptional! The only minor glitch was finding and waiting for the airport shuttle. There is not a clear explanation on the website on it's location. There are many many places where buses stop. Also, there was a modest fee-not free. All in all, I think this is one of the best Sheratons I've ever stayed in. You cannot go wrong choosing this property.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pepe34 The gym should be free of charge
I'm very disappointed to find that in 5* hotel, like this one, the gym is not free of charge, but costs EUR 18/day!! In any hotel which a stayed in, even 3* hotels, the gym is a facility given to the guests free of charge. I can understand that you can pay a fee for other services, like massages or spa or even the use of swimming pool; but, frankly, this hotel applies very unusually, on the base of my large experience, a fee (very expensive!) to use the gym.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Neoteros Strongly recommended!
The hotel is not exactly down town (though, subway station is just at 3 min walk).
Location apart, this is a facility you can only be entusiastc of!
From the vast and elegant circular shaped lobby, with it's domed roof reminding the Pantheon in Rome (included the big eye/hole at the center), to the modern yet warm furniture in the rooms.
From the incredibly responsive, smiling, caring front desk, to the delicious buffet constantly served at the club lounge on the top floor (fantastic view of the "Sierra").
From the properly equipped fitness center and spa, to the full recognition I enjoyed as platinum member.
No smudges whatsoever!
I do look forward to the next time I'll visit Madrid and stay at Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vincos A New SPG Winner
OVERALL IMPRESSION: I had my doubts about the location for visitors coming for the classic sights but the proximity of the metro makes this property an appealing retreat from the more congested areas of the city. The beauty of the property and the pleasantness of the staff more than compensate.
SPG RECOGNITION: Being an all-suite property, there isn’t too much they can add but I was upgraded to the top floor club level - billed as “a hotel within a hotel” and given Club access which, of course, includes breakfast. The staff reception was model and I appreciated the personal Welcome note from the director.
THE ROOM: Absolutely fabulous. Elegantly decorated with Spanish design flair but, at the same time, invitingly homey. Sumptuous pillow-top mattress and down pillows. Handy kitchen corner and dining area. Gorgeous large free-form bath with separate toilet, shower and bath areas. Beautiful view over the Puerta de Europa.
EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: Free shuttle to and from the airport is definitely a bonus. The Club is elegant. Public areas are very beautiful and feature dramatic atrium-style architecture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ace23 Fantastic hotel in a nice neighborhood.
I stay here each time I visit Madrid because of the quality of the hotel & staff. Excellent service, location & amenities. You are only a 15 minute ride from MAD to the hotel via a free shuttle service provided by the hotel. The hotel is in an upscale neighborhood just outside of the city center (Estadio Santiago Bernabéu is a 9-12 Euro taxi ride). Well worth the taxi fare when compared to 400eu per night in Madrid proper for a much smaller room. The hotel is Bright & CLEAN and the SPG club is outstanding.
