Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous in every respect Stayed here twice recently coming into and going out of Madrid. The property itself is great: large, comfortable, nicely appointed rooms and just a short ride to the airport (shuttle included). The service is on a par with any of the 60+ Starwood properties We've stayed at over the years. The staff is exceptionally accommodating from the front desk to the executive lounge. A late dinner one night at the hotel was a pleasant surprise . If you don't need to be in the heart of Madrid you won't find better !!! 14 de mayo de 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A wonderful place to stay This hotel is excellent...need I say anymore? The quality is very evident from the moment you are greeted by the staff and walk in. Facilities are really great (Gym, Spa, Pool etc). The gym has some state of the art equipment. Rooms are very comfortable with small kitchenette /bar. The views across the plains to the snow capped mountains are very compelling. Club lounge has to be one of the best we have used . Location is ideal with 5/10 min walk to Metro that takes you all across Madrid. Visited twice now and just booked a 3rd trip .....Fantasico 9 de mayo de 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Unexpected surprise From the moment I entered the hotel, I felt like a celebrity. Everyone on the staff greeted me and was friendly and helpful. The Rooms Mgr, Jorge, came out to personally welcome me. He provided info on guest access to the beautiful adjoining spa-much appreciated after having flown 16 hrs. The room was just amazing! Even though I'm a Platinum SPG, I was not given an upgraded room, but had full access to the nice club lounge. There was also a lovely pineapple fresh fruit welcoming gift w/the word aloha written in icing-wonderful personal touch. I had initial trouble connecting onto wifi; Jorge came up himself to connect my computer. Exceptional! The only minor glitch was finding and waiting for the airport shuttle. There is not a clear explanation on the website on it's location. There are many many places where buses stop. Also, there was a modest fee-not free. All in all, I think this is one of the best Sheratons I've ever stayed in. You cannot go wrong choosing this property. 30 de abril de 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what madrid needed: reasonable priced spg In the past there was just the Westin Palace, which I'm sure was nice, but far outside price range. This hotel is very nice, decent location, and reasonable price. 17 de febrero de 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I am now a Sheraton convert! My family and I recently stayed at this Sheraton, after I took ill on a business trip. This might be the best run hotel I have ever stayed in! The room was first rate, the breakfast buffet always fresh, and the hotel staff was always so attentive and friendly. It has made me a Sheraton convert, and I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Madrid. Congratulations to Sheraton for having such a well-run hotel. 18 de diciembre de 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Strongly recommended! The hotel is not exactly down town (though, subway station is just at 3 min walk).  Location apart, this is a facility you can only be entusiastc of! From the vast and elegant circular shaped lobby, with it's domed roof reminding the Pantheon in Rome (included the big eye/hole at the center), to the modern yet warm furniture in the rooms. From the incredibly responsive, smiling, caring front desk, to the delicious buffet constantly served at the club lounge on the top floor (fantastic view of the "Sierra"). From the properly equipped fitness center and spa, to the full recognition I enjoyed as platinum member. No smudges whatsoever! I do look forward to the next time I'll visit Madrid and stay at Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra. 10 de octubre de 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay for Us We were only returning to the Madrid area from the North to catch a next-morning flight. So, the Sheraton Madrid Mirasierra Hotel and Spa seemed like a good Starwood option. Apparently the hotel is eight years old, but has only been a Sheraton hotel since April, 2012. It is in an upscale residential/apartment complex area, but easy to get to if you are driving and have a good g.p.s. Be aware that they have a 22 euro parking fee (standard in most Madrid hotels). However, I have also been told that they have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. When checking in, the front desk manager made it a point to come out to welcome us personally. We had a very pleasant chat with him. We were upgraded to a very nice executive suite - very spacious room with a small dining table for four, large couch, desk area and complete "kitchen nook" (small built in refrigerator, microwave, wet bar). Plenty of closets and drawer space. Nicely designed bathroom with a large Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Very comfortable bed and the a/c worked well. As a platinum member, we had club lounge access. The club was spacious and nicely laid out. We were told that they had "happy hour" - free buffet and drinks from 6-11. After driving and sightseeing all day, and with an early morning flight to catch, we decided that we would just have something to eat in the lounge, relax in the Jacuzzi and then get to bed early. There were plenty of food selections available before 7:30 - chicken wings, several different types of sandwiches, meats and cheeses, fruit, breads, and several different desserts - including one of the best lemon meringue tarts that I have ever had. However, when I came back up at around 8:30 to get my boarding pass printed and get another tart, there was only some meat and cheeses and some fruit left. Apparently the "main course/hot items" are only set out once, and not replenished. So, if you have club lounge access and want a good selection, be sure to arrive early! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. From what some other people have mentioned - i.e. close to the metro and a bus stop, and costing much less than "downtown" comparable hotels, this may also be a very reasonable hotel option for people sightseeing in Madrid who want to save a lot of money, due to the high cost of central hotels. I would give the Sheraton Mirasierra Hotel the highest recommendation and the best Starwood option for anyone needing accommodations close to the airport (within a 15 minute drive of the airport - depending upon time of day due to traffic patterns) - or wo want to ge the most out fo their budget.. 6 de octubre de 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A New SPG Winner OVERALL IMPRESSION: I had my doubts about the location for visitors coming for the classic sights but the proximity of the metro makes this property an appealing retreat from the more congested areas of the city. The beauty of the property and the pleasantness of the staff more than compensate. SPG RECOGNITION: Being an all-suite property, there isn’t too much they can add but I was upgraded to the top floor club level - billed as “a hotel within a hotel” and given Club access which, of course, includes breakfast. The staff reception was model and I appreciated the personal Welcome note from the director. THE ROOM: Absolutely fabulous. Elegantly decorated with Spanish design flair but, at the same time, invitingly homey. Sumptuous pillow-top mattress and down pillows. Handy kitchen corner and dining area. Gorgeous large free-form bath with separate toilet, shower and bath areas. Beautiful view over the Puerta de Europa. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS: Free shuttle to and from the airport is definitely a bonus. The Club is elegant. Public areas are very beautiful and feature dramatic atrium-style architecture. 29 de septiembre de 2012
