Once again my family, friends and I were very pleased with our recent stay at the Sheraton Kauai resort. We would like to take a moment of your time to complement you and the Sheraton staff for their professionalism and best-in-class service. Everyone’s attention to detail and service was impeccable during our stay, especially during your busy summer season.

The hotel is right on the water and the view of the beach was spectacular. We were upgraded to a suite, one of the largest and nicest that we ever have had. It was a spectacular experience.

My family and I were here last year and came back this summer for a family wedding. We knew we were going to come back to the Sheraton based on our experience last year. The beach, hands down, is very kid friendly and with the pool so close, you can go back and forth without walking years to get to where you/kids want to be. What truly kicked off this great experience was the fact that the receptionist was the same one who checked us in last year; and she remembered us when checking in this year!! She went out of her way to say hi to the kids, give them a treat, and offer us a few perks as a way of saying thanks for coming back! The fact that kids eat free is such nice touch, especially for families who want to hang and eat at the hotel once or twice. The Sheraton is very close to local shops and restaurants so you don't feel totally deserted. Thanks again Sheraton for making our trip enjoyable and memorable; you made us feel like ohana and we say mahalo to you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chris13926 A tale of 2 hotels... Good on ocean side only
I booked the Sheraton Kauai hotel with a garden room (which cost significant extra $ to upgrade) through Costco package for family of 4 vacation. Upon check in I was made aware the garden rooms were 2 double beds. As a tall person, queen is the minimum I can do w wife. So I was forced to upgrade for another 150 per night for King room and also get 2 rollaway beds for kids which as SPG member she was nice to waive $35 fee/bed/night.
Our room was great. Overlooked pool and ocean. But was it worth the extra price tag? Not sure. Grounds were awesome and location on island was very good I feel. Very central to going to both sides of island on different days. And close to airport. They did have available courtesy room for us to do quick shower and change for 8:30pm flight since checkout is 11am w no late checkout option.
I would recommend town 5 min up the road for shopping and local food trucks and restaurants. All were excellent....like really good!!! Authentic food and little better buy than hotel.
So summing it up....
Location - great proximity on island
Property - beautiful
Rooms - only good w King bed on ocean side
Food - lunch was great but expensive (anticipated)
Return - probably take chance on another hotel

Rated 3 out of 5 by JJF53 DATED HOTEL and RESORT
Let's start with the good. The Rum Fire bar and staff was excellent. Bartenders were very personable; The beach and pool setting are also good. The view from the balcony into the garden is also nice.
The not so good. Rooms on the garden side are terrible. Very dated, no room, tiny sink in bathroom; cannot open dresser without using leverage to fully open, would work for one person, but for a couple or couple with kids, would be very frustrating; value of room vs price paid unacceptable.
Spent the next week at SPG property on north side of Kauai and it was like night and day. Will be posting review on that property as well.
Regarding the Sheraton, most likely would not return

We keep coming back to the Sheraton Kauai for the great beach, spacious and comfortable rooms and staff that go out of their way to accommodate. As Starwood Gold members we look forward to a room upgrade when we stay at this resort. Sissy was especially helpful at check-in to arrange for us to have an ocean front room overlooking our favorite part of the beach. We spent more time on this trip just hanging out at the resort. Food options are great, the beach offered something different to do each day and the pool was blissful.

Sheraton Kauai Resort provided us an Incredible Anniversary stay. So fantastic, it blew us away and topped all previous Sheraton stays. Words not enough - thank you.
The welcome, recognition, and easy check-in was as special as the incredible resort appearance. Classic Hawaiian and yet special - great look to whole resort. We were treated as more than guests, including a few gifts and friendly insight to the area and resort.
Our room - OMG, on the ocean and so special it will be the high-bar for all other rooms. It faced the ocean and we slept to ocean sounds - incredible paradise. Huge room, very comfortable, and easy access to the ocean. Felt like we hit the lotto. Saw rainbows first day, right over resort - knew this was going to be special, and it was.
Throughout our stay, everyone was so friendly and helpful - including hugs and smiles. The food and drinks were great and the time at the beach was so easy and fun. Management must be proud of the culture of this resort - people are the best, property is outstanding, and this results in very special, unforgettable experience.
This is our new Number 1 Sheraton property (been to more than 2 dozen) and we will definitely be back in future.

Bag it. Stay somewhere else. This is an up-sell resort that only paid Sheraton to put their name on it. There is no club lounge, no late check-out and you pay a mandatory high resort fee daily, of which includes bottled waters in room, access to gym and internet. Sound familiar? Same stuff you get anyways for being a platinum member. Oh and if you take your breakfast option as a welcome gift, they only let you take the cold items and can't touch any of the hot items: eggs, bacon etc. Haha. What a joke this place is.
