Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs a overhaul This hotel has a great location but needs updating. The furnature in my room was dated and worn out along with the tile and carpet. However it was clean. Also the internet did not work well when I tried to work from my room. August 27, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Would go back again The Big Kahuna Service by the pool staff was the best!!!! Loved going to the beach with our chairs and towels. But the best service was the water and fruits they delivered to us at the beach. I always looked forward to it. October 19, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Honolulu Sheraton The hotel needs significant updating. The rooms, particularly the bathrooms are seriously out dated. The hotel location is ok and the staff was fine. In a nutshell there are better choices in Honolulu for a little more. August 8, 2013

Efficient hotel with walking access to donwtown Oahu. Hotel in severe need of renovation and upgrades - rooms worn out. June 16, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hotel is close to everything Hotel price met our expenses. It is close to everything even if beach is only across the street. It was all worth it. Highly recommend if you want a nice hospitable and friendly staff, if beachfront is not important. January 21, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has easy parking. Located in the heart of Waikiki this hotel has easy parking included in the daily resort fee. No valet parking. WiFi is also easy and included and bottled water every day. We have our new spot in Waikiki!!! July 15, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Room comfort Our room caught every noise and it was very noisy at night. Unable to get milk for coffee. We had 2 double beds instead of a king size bed although we had been told we had been upgraded. No ceiling light. May 20, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst hotel experience Room looks like 1970's Miami Beach decor, and its all original. Carpet was worn and had holes. The worst part was the service. The first two days of my stay the housekeepers came in my room despite the do not disturb sign on the door. The first day they just put the DND sign back behind the door. The second day they must have taken it because it was nowhere to be found. I was not in the room when they came in, but I did not put anything in the safe as i would have. There was money, laptop, ipad etc on the desk. When I called the housekeeping manager they acted like it was no big deal and they said they would take me off the cleaning list for the next day. Then they would not give me anything later than 2PM checkout on any of the three rooms I had booked and I have gold status. Then after I checked out I found out they offered 3PM to someone who was traveling with me who had no status. Just poor service at a below average hotel. Also Honolulu PD seems to allow "women of the night" to use the corner of the street so be advised they are there every night. Seems to be a shady part of the strip. April 27, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by The Hotel That Sheraton Forgot My expectatiions were high when I initially booked my room. This was based upon the fact that it was a Shearton hotel. These expectattions were dashed once I actually got to my room. The furniture was old and outdated, as was the carpenting in the rooms and the hallways. The wallpaper was starting to peel in certain spots and my wife wanted to try and find a room at a different hotel. We decided that it would be at a disadvantage because it was so late in the day. We turned on the TV which automatically went to the Sheraton channel. Every Sheraton location that it showed was the type of room that we were expexting from a Sheraton hotel, clean, bright with updated amenities. The Princess Kaiulani, although historic in its foundation needs serious work done immediately. From the balconies that had dirty walls and in some spots crumbling facades to the parking garage which seem to have converted the elevator to a barber shop, this hotel is an embraasment to the Sheraton name. We later took a walk alomg Waikiki and ended up at the Sheraton Waikiki and the difference was way beyond night and day. Never again. January 14, 2013
