Rated 1 out of 5 by Nothing what described HORRIBLE I gave this hotel and 1 for location that was the only thing good about this hotel!! Just stayed there last 2 days of my 2 week vacation in hawaii. Cant check in til 3pm and than the line was so long it took an hour to check in than 30 mins to get my bags brought up. They told me they upgraded my room instead it was worse. They put me on the street ocean side that had a nice view but even being on the 27th floor the noise was horrible!!! The wind was so loud whipping thru there we couldnt sleep. The room pictures onlines are nothing like the rooms besides they had 2 beds they are very outdated. The worst part as we are packing up to check out i look under the bed like i always do having children and toys that get lost. There was 5 YES 5 pairs of stripper heals under my bed. I wanted to vomit especially since the night before we saw 2 (ladies of the night) hanging out right in front of the hotel. My question is how many times has the room supposively been cleaned and nobody seen the shoes. It is not worth the money they charge pay a lil more for better hotels!!! Stayed at AMAZING the biggest part of my trip but wont let me post the names do to them being competitiors whatever. dont waste your money HERE!! July 10, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by SPG Platinum Review I was not recognized as an SPG Platinum member as I have been in other SPG properties domestically and internationally. I was advised I was getting an upgrade at the front desk which turned out to be from the third to Fifth floor (overlooking the pool, pathetic). Room was dusty, dirty, dingy and disgusting. Outlets did not hold power cords or attachments, Bathroom towel bar was broken. Only after calling SPG directly was my Platinum status recognized I was then upgraded but only to a higher floor (which is all I received). New Room had better view (partial ocean view) but was dirty, dusty had an odd odor and surfaces were sticky. Again, Outlets did not hold power cords or attachments. ALL Room conditions were unsatisfactory, dust and dirt everywhere. Establishment is worn and needs upgrade. Language barrier at front desk. SPG should be ashamed to call this a resort. As a Platinum member I should have been treated better and given some type of amenities. Worst hotel under SPG I have every stayed. No Club Floor or amenities affiliated with Platinum membership. The offer was either, 500 points or breakfast (if you took breakfast you did not get 500 points) if you took the island bonus gift you did not receive 500 points or breakfast. April 15, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall Good 'Value' Hotel Great hotel in Waikiki with views of the Pacific ocean. This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Waikiki because it tends to be one of the more affordable hotels in the area and it’s also right in the middle of all the action. The beach is just across the street, and it’s very easy to access. I tend to stay at this property when I’m in Honolulu for a longer stay because it’s more affordable. Three aspects of this hotel I enjoy: 1) SPG Redemption: This is an excellent hotel for which to redeem your SPG points. If cash and points option is available, I recommend using that. I am frequently upgraded at this property to tower rooms with an ocean view. 2) Location: Centrally located and within walking distance to all areas of Waikiki. 3) Price: While the rooms are a little antiquated, they are very clean and comfortable. I especially like the fact that most rooms have balconies. I feel the nightly rates at this property are an overall good value for the location. One area for improvement: 1) Room Décor: Ideally rooms can be refreshed within the next few years. Bathrooms and fixtures are older, but in good working order. For SPG elite members… SPG benefits are honored and I’m upgraded each time I visit (even during peak season). October 10, 2012
