Rated 5 out of 5 by Historical ambiance of days gone by. Every time my ohana stays at PK, I am reminded of the beautiful Princess and Ainahau. The hotel has great pictures of the princess and the historical significance of the property reminds me of Hawaiian Ali'i and history of days gone by. The staff at PK have true aloha spirit. Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort & Central Location We were generously moved into a city view room w/a balcony (partial ocean view) and loved the room. The housekeeping staff were always on time and kept the room neat, clean & tidy! Lobby and pool area showed signs of age, but I still found it comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There was an adjoining room with a door separating. The only thing I noticed that when the neighbors got loud, you could hear them. I'm sure they could here us as well! Happy to do a return stay. Also, I usually join 24 Hr Fitness for a week, but found that I could do my daily exercise regimen in the Fitness Center on the 2nd Floor. Would love to have more fitness gear (foam roller, yoga mats). August 16, 2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by This is a Sheraton? Can't believe this is a Starwood property. I'm a frequent business traveler (government employee), and have stayed here on a few occasions for short overnight stays, generally as a stopover for an international flight. Generally this is my "last resort" pick, when I can't find anything else at my per diem rate. Over the years this hotel has slid further into disrepair and the staff has slid with it. On my most recent stay the room smelled of mildew, the air conditioning was barely functioning, the shower fixture was loose and the sheets and pillows were threadbare and old. I chose the continental breakfast for my Platinum amenity. After waiting to be seated for 5 minutes at the nearly empty restaurant, I had some fresh fruit, yogurt and a hard-boiled egg from the buffet. I was told I would be charged for a full breakfast because of my inclusion of the the hard-boiled egg. I returned the egg to my surly waitress. Luckily this was just a one-night stay. If you are planning a vacation, I think you will be greatly disappointed with this hotel. There are many better options on Waikiki. October 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Thse service needs to be improved One of the night during my stay, the hotel elevators were out of service. No one could tell me how long it would take to fix it. I was waiting almost 1.5 hour at the lobby before I decided to walk up to my room at the 20th floor. When I was checking out, I made a suggestion to the front desk staff since I hadn't received any apology message from the hotel. But the front desk staff told me that was beyond their control and they had nothing to do with such situation. I was not even asking for any compensation! But I think the hotel should at least apologize to their customers for the inconvenience caused. As a Platinum member, I have stayed many Sheraton hotels, This time, I am very disappointed. Rated 2 out of 5 by Great location but very outdated This hotel is in a prime location; easy to walk to the beach and restaurants and very close to Diamond Head. The cleaning staff was very thorough and got to our room early every day. However, when we arrived we had asked for a pool view, but also needed early check in because we were going to a wedding. The staff was able to provide a room promptly, which was great, but we were placed in the corner room next to a bunch of high school graduates. We had to be moved to another room because of the noise-this room was a city view because it was all that was available. We were told that the manager would contact us the next morning to work it out, but never got a call. We ended up calling and the only thing they did was drop our nightly rate down to the city view rate. The rooms need improvement big time! Wall paper is peeling off and turning brown and furniture is outdated. Overall, for the price and location it was acceptable, but nothing like the other Starwood hotels we have visited. Staff was friendly though so we can't complain too much. We would love to see this hotel get the attention that all the other Starwoods do! June 16, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Overall a pleasant experience. Most staff were very helpful. Service at hotel bar could be a bit better. Had to walk to bar several times because servers weren't overly attentive. All in all though, I would definately stay again. Great location. May 20, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Below Sheraton Standards Room was not stocked properly with soap and bathing needs when I arrived. As a Gold SPG Member I requested, but only received a morning paper on the last day of my visit. Even in the SPG preferred line, it took about 20 minutes to check out and receive my statement. Finally, parking was only available on the 5th level and the elevator didn't work. Walking up and down 5 flights of stairs every time I needed to get my car was unacceptable. Noise from construction below my balcony made it necessary to keep my door closed at all times. Efforts to reach Hotel Manager Fred Orr were unsuccessful. He never returned my calls! I am an SPG member and come to Hawaii often, but would never stay at the Princess Kaiulani again! April 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Vacation! My husband and I came to Hawaii to celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary. We had a wonderful time and our stay at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani was great. The hotel is centrally located in Waikiki near all of the major shopping areas, restaurants and the beach. Hotel is a little older, but room was clean, King bed was comfortable and balcony had a great view. Only detractors were the noise from the construction next door and the food is a bit overpriced but that's Waikiki/Hawaii. May 6, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Customer Service We had booked a room for 10 nights at Sheraton PK. After the first night of no sleep because of the backup signals from trucks loading and unloading supplies we inquired about changing rooms. We were told that all rooms were sold out but they would put us on a wait list in case something became available. To our surprise on the second day we received a call from June at the front desk that we could move to another room. She really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and always had a smile when we walked past. Our room was cleaned nicely every day and housekeeping staff very pleasant. Thanks again to June for making our stay most enjoyable. February 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel is cost effective but you get what you pay for Room showed signs of wear - in the bathrooom the fixtures had been painted white and the paint was flaking off. Same with ligtht fixtures. It did have a nice balcony but no sliding screen door so there was potential for birds to fly into the room if you weren't careful May 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fifth Stay The grand old princess is showing her age and it appears the Sheraton is letting her go on as is until the planned remodel. I always stay here because of the location and the ease of parking. The beds are great as well as the linens but the towles are rather thin and rough. The hotel provided toiletries are third rate at best so it is advised to bring your own. the food is acceptable but seems to be a bit over priced based on other opportunities located very near by. Also, be advise that there is no designated smoking areas what so ever on the property. You have to go on the street if you plan to enjoy a cigar or have a cigerette. March 4, 2013
