Rated 4 out of 5 by Accommodations expectations exceeded The upgrades made to the hotel since my last visit offer a vast improvement to the guests. While facility is still under construction in front lobby, you can see the amenities will be a value add to the property. I'll definitely be back within the next 30 days on my next visit to Memphis. I appreciated the VIP services offered on the Club level and intend to stay longer next time to enjoy them! October 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful location & comfortable Drove 14 hours to arrive at this destination. Was not disappointed - hotel staff courteous and friendly. To my surprise the venue we were attending was just a walkway from the hotel - we did not have to venture outside. We were rested and relaxed again by morning. October 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overal Great Hotel Renovations are complete and the hotel looks great. Rooms are calming and nice. The phone system for the restaurant is not workingt, which is a problem if you want to pick up food in restaurant. Issue last week trying to order pizza to pick up, never got it, first I was told they were out, then told they did not have them anymore. Was told I needed to talk to chef, but she was busy and never called me back. October 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Professional staff Entertained friends for the weekend at this newly renovated Sheraton. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels including SPG properties and was very impressed with the staff at this Sheraton. From the valet , to front desk, to Club Level, all the employees were friendly and professional. Loved the fact when I called for extra towels they were there within 10 minutes with a follow up call from housekeeping making sure our needs were met!!!! The fitness center seemed brand new and very clean . Our new go to hotel in Memphis October 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Under Construction/ Noisy Room Hi, Despite telling the lady at the front desk (very amicable & considerate otherwise), I was put in room 1603, which was very noisy because of the nearby highway. I did not get any sleep the whole night & was tired taking the exam in the morning. Also, the key card expired @ noon (I had requested a late check-out for 1.30 p.m. (which was graciously provided), but had to go downstairs 3 times as the key did not work! The construction crew were working on all the elevators simultaneously so it was quite confusing which elevators to take. The service at the restaurant was good but the food was far from mediocre. I had to finally request salt & pepper to try to fix my meal! There was no one to seat in the morning at the restaurant and I was helped by the bar tender so I could get a quick coffee to go. Overall, a below-average service that left me not wanting to come back ever again. Thanks, Nonu October 9, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by EVEN THE SHEETS HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED! I checked in very late after a Very exhausting day of travel to find that my 1st room had no heat! Tried calling front desk and I was on hold for 10 minutes yet called direct from my cell and they answered right away. Got a new room where there was only 1 towel, no coffee, dirty bathtub and bathroom floor, and a bed that had already been slept in!!! The next day I asked them to clean my room and told them all the problems and all they did was change sheets and leave towels!! Didn't even empty trash! Called for coffee...never delivered as promised! 3 hours later I ask maid in the hall for some and got it. 10pm at night there was loud talking and screaming in the hall and door slamming and at 10:40pm there is a vacuum running next door! I come to find out ALL of the noise had been housekeeping THIS LATE AT NIGHT! I called front desk and they ask me "am I SURE it's housekeeping?" Like customers bring vacuums to hotel? Perhaps we should to this hotel as it was THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! November 14, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by big disappointment We came in from a program & wanted a bite to eat & there was NOTHING available, not even a vending machine! We finally found a drink machine & it was empty! When we asked a staff member about something to eat, we were told we could go "next door" which was several blocks away! I am in my late 70's & could not walk that far that late at night! Also our room was next to the elevators & sounded like something being rolled across the ceiling every time someone used the elevator. Since there was a convention going on, it was used a lot! Around 3 a.m. they stopped using the elevator & we could go to sleep, but it started again around 6 a.m. Unless some major improvements are made before my next trip, I will not be staying here again!
