Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible experience Horrible experience at this hotel. They gave my double to someone else which I reserved in Sept. Tole me they woukd accommodate me in any way so I asked for a roll away they said sure. After 30 minutes I called again and they said sorry can't have one. I went down to the lobby and spoke to a manager she miraculously found 1 more roll away. It was now after midnight. Reserved on the club floor so we could have access to snacks and food. It was never stocked with snacks or food. I paid extra for water. January 19, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by so many problems I understood that the hotel was being updated and overlooked the horrible paint job in the bathroom and vents covered in paint so much so the bathroom vent could not work. I overlooked the awful noises from 8am to 4pm. The following however was unacceptable. 1. no working tv took 5 hours for someone to make it up to our room to fix 2. unable to take a shower because hot water was either blistering hot or ice cold 3. outlet next to bed kept being thrown so we could not use no clock 4. outlet under desk did not work at all which meant we could not use a computer or charge our cell phones 5. coffee machine did not work 6. safe did not work properly April 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dirty, unorganized hotel My stay was disappointing. The hotel was dirty. There was debris on the floor the entire stay, food trays outside doors for over 24 hours, blood on my sheets, bathroom was moldy and stains on the door. The staff was very slow to respond. They forgot to place my dinner order at the bar (they did say sorry and paid for it). Only 2 elevators worked and the button to the elevator on my floor was broken so I would have to press the up button and ride all the way up to go down to the lobby.I commented but it was never fixed after 3 employees said they would fix it. It was a bad experience. Will never stay there again. October 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dirty Online this hotel looks super cute and boutique. Walked in and was greeted heartedly and thought this was going to be a great hotel. In the lobby you can tell there is constructio going on which is fine. However, once in the room I was grossed out. It didn't look clean (b/c it wasn't) and the furniture was scratched and not wiped clean. The carpet was gross and I laid towels down so I didn't have to walk on the floor. The bed was comfortable but I was just very unimpressed overall. I would never stay here again and wouldn't recommend anyone staying here until that have all the kinks worked out. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked. March 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT up to my standards This is by far been the worst experience I have ever had with the Sheraton. I spoke with 2 different representatives regarding my reservation and was very specific I did not want the Sheraton in South Tower I wanted the Charlotte Center City in the North Tower and I still got booked in the wrong room at the wrong hotel. The front desk had me call reservations and the third representative said she didn't even know what the Charlotte Center City hotel was!!! The carpet in the room was filthy the room was freezing 50 degrees to be exact, the water in the shower came out brown initially, and the lighting was terrible. I was very disappointed. For points wise this hotel is definitely not worth 7000. I am livid I lost that many points for this place which again was the WRONG HOTEL!!! I did however get a tour of the correct hotel from the maintenance guy smh. January 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Left Underwhelmed Upon arrival at 5pm, the three king size rooms were not available. Immediately the guy checking us in wanted to down grade us. When asked why they weren't ready, he replied "Honestly, it is because of the housekeeping staff. They really are horrible and I am over it". Nice right? Restaurant was mismanaged and very dysfunctional, slow and almost rude at times. Food was good though. Bathroom was very small...smallest toilet I have ever seen and it was hard to turn on the shower and get the water adjusted without getting totally drenched as you had to reach around this horrible glass wall which made you climb into the tub to reach the faucet. Rated 1 out of 5 by This Sheraton is the worst hotel I have stayed in,ever! Room was filthy, and was not vacuumed prior to arrival. There was a pretzel on the floor, and other bits of goo! Paper coffee cup was used. Took 3 hours and four phone calls to convince staff to replace battery in the "chirping" smoke detector in adjacent room. Finally resolved at midnight. This place should be closed. Do not stay here. August 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Okay but Nothing to Write Home About Checked in on a Sunday evening. Had a bit of a wait as there was only one person working the front desk. Was upgraded to a deluxe room, which was marginally larger. The renovations are certainly a heck of a lot better, but there is always a limit given the existing physical plant. My room was comfortable, particularly the bed, but the bathroom was not well cleaned, and was very small. Only two of the elevators were operational, as the renovation continues, which led to long waits for a ride. Nothing horrific, but not terribly compelling either. October 9, 2014
