Rated 2 out of 5 by Elevator need improvemeny Hotel is ok but there is lot of construction going on in the hotel. Only one elevator works. One day, I had to wait 15 minutes to get the elevator. June 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Courteous, personal attention. The conduct and demeanor of the employees and maintenance personnel was consistently friendly, helpful, and courteous. Even though the hotel was performing maintenance on the elevators, I didn't mind waiting because the staff was pleasant and made me feel comfortable. June 27, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by The staff was very accommodating and helpful But that's where the plus experience stopped. The hotel was remodeling and the elevators did not respond -- long waits and occasional stops mid-floor. Staffers doing their best to help guests but you could tell they were getting tired of it, too. Apparently some carpet layers were blocking the cars open as well. June 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Close this property until you fix it Internet not working. Staff not answering phones. Elevators not working. Pleasant people, but ineffectual given understaffing and the problems with the property. June 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by You can't judge a book by its cover. Elevator was ancient with guests waiting in a long line to get to their rooms.Refurbished room lacked attention to detail. Shower leaked to bathroom floor. Tub floor oily/slippery safety hazard. HVAC was to cold for guests and convention visitors. Some guests literally took table cloths from unused tables and wrapped themselves in them to stay warm. June 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Unexpexcted Issues I stayed only one night. There were mulitple issues. Unfortunately due to the busy schedule i had, i didn't have much time to complain. The room was very small. The view was of the middle of the building. Also there was no refridgerator. I got into the shower and could not regulate the shower. The cold water would not get cold, leaving the hot, really hot. The bathroom was so small, there was no room for toiletries. The plug in for the hairdryer was right beside the sink, barely any room for the cord. June 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by so many problems I understood that the hotel was being updated and overlooked the horrible paint job in the bathroom and vents covered in paint so much so the bathroom vent could not work. I overlooked the awful noises from 8am to 4pm. The following however was unacceptable. 1. no working tv took 5 hours for someone to make it up to our room to fix 2. unable to take a shower because hot water was either blistering hot or ice cold 3. outlet next to bed kept being thrown so we could not use no clock 4. outlet under desk did not work at all which meant we could not use a computer or charge our cell phones 5. coffee machine did not work 6. safe did not work properly April 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Exceptional Staff The hotel is contemporary, clean and passably good in every way. The bar is technically open until 11:00pm, but they stayed open later both nights I was there to accommodate our raucous conference crowd. The food from the hotel restaurant is good enough, but nota bene: although room service is 24 hours a day, after midnight the only options are a prepackaged sandwich or a salad--and the prices are astronomical for both ($26 for a prepackaged Caesar). The staff are very knowledgeable, polite, and attentive. I misplaced my iPad at one point and they found and returned it to me. Arrangements for return to the airport were frictionless. If I'm ever in Charlotte again, this will certainly be on my list of places to stay. June 15, 2014
