Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks great on the surface I chose Sheraton because it is a trusted name that has quality associated with it. I realize this hotel was under renovation but the quality of the workmanship is shotty. There is tripping hazards in the room, dust on every surface, uneven title in bathroom and moldy woodwork in the bathroom. I hope we stayed in a room that was yet to be completed, I almost tripped 5 times due to the uneven floor between the room and bathroom, this is an accident waiting to happen. Rated 1 out of 5 by Unacceptable Staff gets a 10 for being friendly (not EFFECTIVE - but friendly). Everything else gets less than 0. Food-awful/limited in selection/took forever to serve both via room service and in-person at restaurant. Room-has 1 outlet in bedroom and 1 outlet in bathroom. It's 2014. Really? Outlet in room didn't work, which means 1 outlet - which means sitting in the bathroom if you want to use your items while they charge. Coffeemaker-not in room as depicted on site, had to call desk (which rings into oblivion every time you call them and requires constant redial). Finally brought one up. With bags that don't fit - so it spills all over. Good thing you have to make the coffee in the bathroom, it's an easy cleanup. (And probably a deeper clean than the bathroom has ever seen, given the horrifying discovery in there upon checking in to the room. Suffice to say it was reported and "oh" was the only reaction. Use your imagination and you'll be able to figure out what I am trying to convey - too graphic to post online...let's just say the toilet was NOT CLEAN AT ALL!). Shower has no full door, only half glass, so water - which doesn't drain in the old, dirty shower floor - pours out over the lip onto the bathroom floor. Housekeeping did not clean well, but had no problem throwing all of my bottles of water out from the nightstand ($8 worth). They were replaced - but not the point. Who throws away full waters? Elevators are a disaster. Due to the construction - which is not reflected in the room rates, so don't look for a discount! - they were constantly blocked off/slow/require you to wait in an active construction zone. How this Blake Hotel wound up with a Sheraton badge is a mystery rivaling the Great Sphinx. Never, ever will I stay here again. I received zero compensation for any of the ongoing issues that required daily conversations with the desk. Also: the hotel overcharged by a $22 amount on something - so when I asked for it to be fixed, they simply RECHARGED ME AGAIN to the tune of $1500.00. That's fifteen-hundred. The hold is STILL on my credit card, 6 days later, despite assurances it would simply 'drop in 24-48 hrs.' I'd rather stay at a Motel 6 than this Nightmare Hotel again. September 24, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by This Sheraton is the worst hotel I have stayed in,ever! Room was filthy, and was not vacuumed prior to arrival. There was a pretzel on the floor, and other bits of goo! Paper coffee cup was used. Took 3 hours and four phone calls to convince staff to replace battery in the "chirping" smoke detector in adjacent room. Finally resolved at midnight. This place should be closed. Do not stay here. August 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worthy of the Starwood brand My stay included brown water from the tap, a telephone that buzzed which the hotel fixed by unplugging it for my entire stay, a Club Lounge that lacked any food or service when they opened at 5:30pm, a restaurant so slow the manager had to stop by and apologize (I ordered a chicken sandwich) and when I sat at my desk chair in my room it was set at an angle that flipped me over and onto the floor. I issued a complaint to the Starwood Platinum Service department and they have not responded in over six weeks even though I have called to follow up on several occasions. August 19, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful hotel. poor maintenance, no quality control the card reader to turn the lights on didn't work well. Then had to use a flashlight to find lamps, which were unplugged, and to call for help. Guest Services too slow to show up. Shower leaked all over the floor. Wet carpet by the bathroom and by the window (discovered when trying to plug in lamps). Sink stopper wouldn't unstop. Makes me wonder when the sink was last cleaned or it would have been discovered. Elevators shabby & only half of them worked. Ice machine dumped ice all over the floor when bucket put in. Floor was sopping wet in ice room. Could have stayed in a hotel for less than half the price which would have been much better. Gave me a $50 credit, but it wasn't enough. Won't stay in a Sheraton again. Will recommend meeting be held elsewhere in the future. I want a refund. September 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great view of the city This hotel is located very close to the hospital. The rate for hospital families is higher than regular rate. Wade and Wayne greeted us and made us feel special. Wade took us to our room and since we were Starwood guests, we were allowed the pleasure of Club Lounge down the hall. Our room was nice, clean and had a great view. There are no towel racks in the bathroom or a hook to hang a towel or clothes. We missed the breakfast. Our only disappointment is the additional parking fee, that was not made clear on check in and a charge for WiiFii, even as Starwood Guests. So closeness to hospital great, cheerful and friendly staff great, extra charges, not good. August 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by so many problems I understood that the hotel was being updated and overlooked the horrible paint job in the bathroom and vents covered in paint so much so the bathroom vent could not work. I overlooked the awful noises from 8am to 4pm. The following however was unacceptable. 1. no working tv took 5 hours for someone to make it up to our room to fix 2. unable to take a shower because hot water was either blistering hot or ice cold 3. outlet next to bed kept being thrown so we could not use no clock 4. outlet under desk did not work at all which meant we could not use a computer or charge our cell phones 5. coffee machine did not work 6. safe did not work properly April 11, 2014
