Rated 5 out of 5 by The Staff is amazing!! From the moment we walked into the hotel to the moment we picked up our car. Every staff member was helpful, polite and smiling. A truely enjoyable customer service experience. Keep up the great work and awesome Guys out front of the building. February 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Overcharges Disappointing. Twice I ordered room service and both times the prices charged on the bill were MORE than the in room menu. Overcharges ranged from $1 to $2 per item. The first room service delivery was on time. The second was 15 minutes late. June 25, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Director The service was much under expected for the normal Sheraton standard I know. The staff in the reception seemed like they didn't care about customors and made a lot of mistakes. Very unprofessional. The cleaning of the room was not satisfying. December 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good stay at Sheraton on 7th Ave. Check in was easy--I was able to get into the quicker SPG line. Otherwise, it was a long line and not moving quickly. Room was fine--bathroom was basically clean, but is already showing signs of aging after the recent big renovation. December 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has excellent personnel Staff are uniformly great. Toomy Rodriguez and Barbara, and all who attend the 44th floor lounge both at breakfast and in the evenings, deserve high commendation. March 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location Was thrilled to have access to so many subways nearby, We had to go to Brooklyn for a wedding and it was easy. Business center was small. In room Internet cost seems ridiculous when you are already paying more than $00 per night for a room. July 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fantastic Front desk Manager I had a terrible experience upon check in which was resolved within an hour by Meredith the Front desk Manager. Excellent stay after she resolved problem.. Sheraton is lucky to have someone like that who really cared! Definitley coming back! December 11, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fabulous Location The most outstanding feature of the Hotel is it's location - particularly if you are a first time visitor to New York. The rooms are a little small but quaint - staff are friendly and try to be of assistance. Room Service is reasonably good August 20, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great Location; poor service Check-in took forever (even as a Platinum member) - elevators took even longer - each time. Bathroom was really cramped, even by NYC standards. Conscierge level was nice (service, food, etc..) Other than the location, I wouldn't recommend June 18, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by nyc fine stay quiet for a large hotel very comfortable bed clean and well maintained excellent location April 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel and excellent customer service The Sheraton Times Square hotel is in an excellent location. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and the staff exceptional. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to be friendly and took extra steps to help this business traveler out. June 22, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not my favorite Sheraton This hotel is not the best Sheraton around. The rooms are small, the staff is unfriendly, the maids failed to bring enough towels, even after we requested additional towels, our toilet didn't work properly and there was a bug in the room. July 9, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by COLD WATER Was given a handicapped room when reservation was guaranteed for a king. Room was clean but queen bed. Cold water in the shower and sink. Place looks very nice but isn't. Will choose other Starwood properties on my upcoming visits to NYC. August 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good location The only issue I had was a miscommunication in regards to our late check out as a SPG member.Housekeeping wanted us out to clean the room and even had a supervisor tell us it was time to check out. The 3:00 check out was in the computer. October 14, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Less than ideal Small room. Construction and noise until 1AM just outside my window. Small fitness area, crowded and only available for an extra fee (with a room rate of nearly $400/d that was a bit much). Also: no free WiFi for that price. Poor value. November 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience This was a new experience get-a-way for our relationship. The opportunity to stay at the Sheraton was something we've never experienced before and it, by far, exceeded expectations. Our stay helped solidify how great it is to visit NYC! September 18, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a great Sheraton Rooms are very noisy, you can clearly hear guests/staff in the hallway. Room was not clean upon check-in. $10 fee to use the fitness center. Also, staff seemed pretty disengaged/didn't recognize SPG status almost at all. Rooms are tiny. May 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The amazing staff in club lounge The staff in the club lounge was really nice and helpful when we arrived at the end of the breakfast, and they got us muffins, bagels, etc.., above and beyond what they had to do. March 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Time square Sheraton This hotel is conveniently located to all of midtown Manhattan. They provide a quality high capacity facility with many rooms but still a personalized service. March 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience at the Sheraton We had a great stay at the Sheraton New York. Our room had an amazing view of Central Park which is within walking distance. Hotel is also close to shopping and Times Square - great central location. Enjoyed the renovated , clean room. July 27, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Buffet Breakfast I love staying here but frankly the over-priced breakfast buffet was a disappointment. For the cost it is limited and the eggs were cold and the bacon had been out a long time. Would have been best to go outside hotel for a fresh meal. October 19, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Late check out The hotel did not consider my request which I made at the time of reservation for late check out. In addition they charge $3.25 per piece for storing the suitcases. This is really not good at all considering the high rate for the room. October 8, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicely remodeled rooms Hadn't stayed for a few years. Rooms are nicely remodeled, esp. bathroom. For the most part, friendly staff. Front desk continues to be slow with no acknowledgement or apology when one has waited over 5 minutes, even in Preferred line. March 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Time in times Square Great 5 days at the Sheraton. Staff met all needs. Busy hotel makes it the place to be. The lounge on the 44th floor tops off a great day.Very well priced and excellent location. Less than 5 mins and you are everywhere you want to be. August 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excelent location, facilities are very good for the price The hotel is great, convenient, its location is ideal for visiting the sights of Manhattan. The rooms are good enough, but a bit small when there are more than two people. Very friendly staff. I recommend it. I'll be back January 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel My girlfriend an I enjoyed the hotel. The ubication is excellent, only 2 blocks away from Times Square. We loved the room. It was very confortable and modern. We had a little problem with the elevator, but the staff solve it quickly. March 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent location and very good rooms First stay in New York in a "big" hotel and was very much delighted of everything. Staff at the reception has a great attitude and superb service. They made my stay so much better with the way they treated and responded to my needs. November 8, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by staff needs training in customer service From the beginning to the end of our stay, the staff (except for one person) was not welcoming, helpful, or a good representative of this hotel. It would appear that you don't really want people to return to your hotel in the future. December 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Oversold hotel was oversold, I ended up in a room type that I didn't reserve. No acknowledgment at check-in that I had SPG status (SPG line ended up being used by all guests, took a long time to check in). Two lightbulbs in the room were out. December 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by It Doesn't Get Better In NYC My wife and I live in San Jose, CA and are frequent guests at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. The hotel is perfect, it's proximity to key places to visit and of course the subways. And they have good security. We just finished a five day stay at the hotel. I have stayed at this hotel the past four or five years. There is always a new Broadway show to see, a new neighborhood to visit, a new restaurant to try out as well as revisit my old favorites, such as Katz Deli and Clinton Street Bakery. And, I am a big sports fan. There are many reasons, usually not just one, why one visits a certain city and hotel year after year. The list above are some of the reasons why I visit New York City. We also visit Maui every year for many of the same reasons I listed above. Maui has a very different appeal but we love visiting both places on a yearly basis. And, there are the individuals that you regularly interact with whenever you frequent the hotels and restaurants. All these factors, and especially the personal relationships along the way, is what drives me to spend my precious time in NYC and Maui. I would like to share my experience with one of their team members. I first met Michael P. a few years ago at the concierge's desk. He loves his work; you can see it in his interaction with the guests. And there is an intangible quality about him that I that you don't find often, Michael is a local guy that is passionate about his hometown, New York City. He speaks to the guests from the heart as if they were his family from out of town, visiting NYC for the first time or even a return visitor. You cannot train an employee to do that, either they love New York City or it is just a place to live and work. Michael indeed loves New York City. Guests visiting the hotel want to feel the passion of a Native New Yorker. As a business owner myself, I find that the most difficult part of running a successful business is putting together a good team that understands the vision of the company, to take overnship. That is what you have in Michael and much more. I would highly recommend that visitors to NYC stay at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel. And, be sure to look for Michael P. at the concierge's desk, he will take care of you. :-) May 26, 2014
