Rated 5 out of 5 by HCCR422 Excellent Stay!
Location - perfect location with many convenient T stops, restaurants, proximity to the universities, Fenway and downtown.
Service - above and beyond, hotel proactively upgraded us to a suite with a fantastic view of the Charles River and Fenway.
Lounge - well staffed and maintained despite the crowds. I would prefer some hot breakfast items, but the breakfast was more than adequate, fresh and delicious.
This will be our go to hotel in Boston for all future stays!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Feismom Beautiful hote, comfortable room
I stayed at this hotel in March 2013 for the World Championships of Irish Dancing. While very busy, the staff worked hard to make sure everyone was well taken care of. There was a bit of a backlog checking in, but since hundreds of others were trying to check in at the same time, I understood. The lobby was huge with lots of seating and free Wi-Fi and I was able to check my bags and go exploring in the attached mall. My room was clean, very comfy bed, really appreciated the free water every day and the housekeeping staff was excellent! My only complaint was no claim chowder available from room service, lol. Would recommend to anyone going to Boston.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JN47 Inconvenient elevators
We stayed at this facility to attend the Anime Boston convention. We booked a quiet hall room, but did not get it and we were not told this upon check in. After one noisy, sleepless night we were moved to a quiet room. The elevators are always full, broken and it was quicker to walk the 12 flights of stairs - even with all our bags. The wait for the elevator could run as much as 10 - 15 minutes. Thought it would be easy to stay here but will not next year for the convention.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MattNYCTraveler Old Hotel, Great location & Ample Space
Overall
A mediocre hotel with a lot of space and convenience. Lacking any type of luxury or special touches. Generic but reliable, convenient and big.
Room
The room I had was in the South tower. I knew it was going to be old when I saw the carpet that looked like Disney World.
The room is very large with great views. Not sure why I was placed on the 9th floor but that's besides the point. The leather chair was ripping and definitely needs to be replaced. The phones were far too old, very antiquated. The valet/housekeeping button needs to be updated. I'm not sure if maybe the South tower rooms haven't been updated - maybe it was just my room?
Bathroom
The bathroom was tiny and awkward. The counter space was great. Products mediocre but fine. Ample towels. The toilet was so commercial and lacked any sense of "home." The shower tiles were old and antiquated. The shower curtain could barely cover the tub and water went everywhere, even into the hallway getting on the rug. Seems like a water damage issue.
Room Service
Attendant was not very knowledgeable of the menu. She seemed very confused when I asked for changes/substitutions. It all worked out fine in the end, but it was a very long awkward phonecall. The omelet was poorly seasoned. Fruit and toast were fine. Tea was good, but waiter did not offer to start the tea pot. When I was leaving a tip, she was rushing me and mentioned I didn't need to do the math and it would be automatic. I was trying to leave additional tip!
Valet
Valet service was pretty good. A little awkward with my luggage and didn't offer any directions but adequate.
Checkin
Reception staff was nice, courteous, efficient and helpful.
Starbucks
The Starbucks immediately in the hotel was extremely convenient. However, the food selection was poor and the signage was completely wrong. They kept apologizing when I asked for certain items. Overall, I loved the convenience.
Gym/Pool
The gym is good. The aerobics room was ridiculously hot. There was condensation dripping down the walls. The floor was slippery, it was so wet. There were ample amounts of towels and the water was great. Would be nice to have an infused option, but that may be too luxury focused. The weight room is hidden and it's awkward to walk through the pool to get to the other section. There should be better signage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RB001 Great Location / Below Par Customer Service
Great location for a hotel...very convenient to all things you need while you're away from home. I haven't had a great experience with the customer service though. Checking in was ok. I was put on a room in the building where all the non-platinums are put (I am a gold level member). The room was stuffy, the carpet didn't look quite what one would expect of a Sheraton.
SPG doesn't get you your receipts online. You have to set it up with the individual hotel for your receipts to be emailed. I had to get my receipts for April and I called the hotel on Saturday of the Memorial Day weekend and got a couple of rude customer service personnel to answer. The first time I call, the first rep who answered my call, doesn't even listen to my full question and transfers it mid-way to another...not even telling me so! Then the other person, as soon as I start saying "I need copy....", the lady hangs up!!!!
Then I call back immediately and it goes to the same lady and the lady goes, as if continuing from where she left off...."Sir, you need to call back on Tuesday and I can't help you"....
First of all, they don't have the basic manners of dealing with the customer and then give me this one stupid answer...how stupid can Sheraton get....or is it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coach An excellent place to stay if you are at the Hynes Conv. Ctr
I am the author of the 1 star internet review. Now, having stayed here, I want to make it clear that this is truly an excellent hotel--with the exception of charging $12.95 + tax for internet access. The hotel is a class operation. Food's a little pricy, but it is downtown Boston in Feb. and not everyone wants to walk outside for a meal. The only issues that I had were with the outlets in the room. They weren't convienent for having my phone charging and my computer. A minor maint. item with the shower head not being tight to the long hose was addressed by the time I returned to the room. That plus the internet is the only reason the rating isn't excellent across the board. Don't hesitate to choose this hotel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mischa869 I'd give it a 4.5 only because...
It was a great hotel. The only issues: 1. GoGreen - you can get a $5 coupon/day for refusing housekeeping - was weird. You couldn't use it the $5 for alcohol but food and sodas...which would have been fine, but they don't have a restaurant past 11am - just bar food. Plus, when I asked for a few towels, they gave me a little attitude. 2. No restaurant - although PF Changs is just through the doors. 3. For hor d'oevres with Club level, you have to go to the bar (not the Club Room) and select from their menu - it was not clear to me even when I asked a few times.

Rated 2 out of 5 by K0513 One Week Stay Review
The hotels is within walking distance to the Charles River and many restaurants and bars. If you jog and want to get to the Charles River running paths, this hotel is close. However, the room rate is high for average room and restaurant. Unlike most Sheratons they charge for internet. The service in general is better than average. I had a few problems at this hotel and reported one. The TV reception went out for my last night in the hotel and most of the morning. They fixed it but it took 3 visits to correct it and a Direct TV specialist to fix it. One main precaution, if you are a light sleeper, DO NOT have them place you next to the elevator. It is noisy. One bright spot, the maid who cleaned my room was excellent. She cleaned and paid attention to what I was using and replace them as if she could read my mind. Here are the biggest negatives for this hotel.
If you rent a car and try to park it with them. It is very expensive. I paid $36 for 2 hrs. All day is $47 for valet. They do not give you a reduced rate. The parking is actually in the Prudential Shopping Center and you most likely will park a good distance from the hotel entrance. Finally, the hotel is the closest to the Hynes Convention Center so it is convenient.
