Rated 4 out of 5 by Pleasantly surprised A couple of weeks ago I visited a friend who was lodging somewhere on the 5th floor and I wasn't too impressed with the state of the room facilities but when I had an opportunity to lodge in there some days ago I was determined to experience it myself so that I can either change or reinforce my first impression. And surprisingly I had to adjust my first impression positively. I got a room on the 1st floor and it was way, way better than where my friend stayed initially for the same category. The food turned out nice and the staff and management were warm. Although some amenities (like the shower and bath equipment) need to be upgraded to the sparkling, modern and elegant looking things that you'll usually find in 5-stars these days, but overall I was pleasantly surprised. The internet access was stressless and fast, the laundry job came out professionally and when I had an issue with a pressing iron the technical guy responded immediately. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Just some upgrade and these guys will be 5-star all the way. May 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Still excellent ambience I first stayed in Lagos Sheraton Hotel in 1987. It was sparkling new and our team had a great time savouring its then one of a kind environment in Nigeria. Two decades latter, and in the Club Rooms, Sheraton Lagos remains its cosy and warm ambience. I enjoyed the gym thoroughly as well as breakfast. Staff were courteous and took pains to show they were familiar with one's name. Internet worked well. Compared favourably with the Sheraton Kampala in Uganda April 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by VERY DISAPPOINTED Honestly, I cannot believe Sheraton has their name on this hotel. It is absolutely run down. And way over priced!! The foyer is both dirty, dark and uninviting. We booked a room on the "Club Floor" to get a better room with a few extras. We should not have bothered. The room stunk, it was musty, humid, dirty and after five nights in this room we were having sinus and respiratory problems. What made it bearable was the friendly staff. April 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Charged twice I was charged twice from the hotel for my stay. Its now 2 weeks since my departure and I am struggling to get any response from the hotel when requesting a refund. The hotel itself is in a poor start of repair and needs a refresh. Its only thing going for it is location to Ikeja and to the airport. However given the battle i have had to extract communication following being charged twice - it will take some significant smooth talking from their side to make me want to risk visiting again. Rated 2 out of 5 by Worst Hotel I've Ever stayed in My complaint is already being dealt with by Sheraton Head office. A truly awful experience. Food awful, rooms dated, staff unfriendly. SEVERELY overpriced. Very dissapointed and will spread the word amongst my peers not to use this hotel on their African trips. April 14, 2013
