As a SPG VIP/Platinum member I was not able to check in when I arrived to the hotel in the morning as suite was not ready as yet. In addition to that, I was upgraded to a suite that seemed dated and had two double beds even though I was a solo traveler. Overall, not very pleased with the level of service or hospitality shown to me as a SPG VIP/Platinum member. The only positives are that the hotel was in a good location and across the street from my meeting.

The room had multiple issues - there was no hot water in the sink. Air condition system is outdated. It was blowing air with no real adjustment to the fans or vents. Service repair guy kept saying 'I'm sorry'. Not a good response.
I asked for room change and was told 'we are sold out'. Usual excuse not to do anything. I didnt believe it for a secind. Front dedk stuff is not friendly or welcoming, none of them.
I've been coming to this hotel for years, mostly for their location. Well, you just lost a customer.

Hotel is the classic example of lipstick on a pig. They try to cover up much needed remodel with poor quality spot renovations. Hotel is way overbooked for the lobby and meeting spaces. Staff at front desk was very friendly, but charged me more for my room with out even telling me, only noticed when they wrote on my key jacket. The rest of the staff is incompetent or rude. Good location downtown if thats what you are looking for and decent selection at lobby bar with friendly bartenders. Club room breakfast is awful and had to call down to front desk to get a bartender for daily scheduled happy hour in there. Spend your money elsewhere for a good quality stay.

Was in Montreal for a conference. The staff was wonderful!! Very responsive to requests. Could not have asked for a more comfortable stay. Best experience yet at a conference hotel..

This hotel is in a great location because there is plenty of shopping, restaurants, and the ability to site see all within walking distance. The staff was also very attentive to my needs and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again if I were to travel to Montreal again!
