Food from Picabu was very good as usual. Staff there is excellent and friendly. Unfortunately the cleaning staff was very loud. They not only let the doors slam every time they went in and out they also were talking loudly in the hall ways. This included someone who looked like a supervisor. I would think all staff would be trained to be quiet in the quest room areas and certainly not let the doors slam. It is some what understandable (though not considerate) if the quests are noisy but not the hotel staff. I have not experienced this on past visits so I was surprised this time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DJW2614 Not up to the Starwood Standard!
First, let me start with the good - Great location, very good transportation options, awesome pools, many food options on site. Unfortunately, the bad overshadowed the good. I arrived at 11:30am and my room was not ready until 5pm. I missed an entire afternoon at the park because the staff kept telling me they were working on my room. The rooms were on the dirty side (my family had 3 rooms booked; 1 was filthy and 2 were dirty). The food prices were very expensive and you can't get anything delivered to the hotel unless hotel approved. Although the pools were awesome, the slide was closed for 3 days and nobody could give us a reason. Overall, I expect higher standards from Starwood!

Rated 3 out of 5 by TITO4Family A lot of glam outside but fees that stack up!
The hotel room was as expected. Our sleep nights were great. Front desk asked for my card to charge a "deposit" of $100 but would be reimbursed. My final bill i was charged $500. What?? Then They explained there is a $16/day parking fee plus tax. I saw that on my bill but then leaving the parking lot I was forced to pay again! Room were cleaned each day of our 5 night stay. Very impressed. Picabu food was not great. No people to great you at entrance. Swiming pool was nice. I would not refer this place. Reached out but your numbers send me back to main menu. Do not do a quick checkout - GO to front desk andaddress all detail on bill.

First, let me say I enjoyed my stay at the Dolphin, and I will stay there again. I will start my review, by mentioning the dated decor in the rooms. The bathroom floor tile needed a deep cleaning. The mattress cover did not fit the mattress. Two of the lights in the room were not working. I was able to fix both, but in the process I noticed so, much dirt and dust near the bed. Not acceptable. The balcony chairs either need to be washed or replaced. Now, for the positive: The beds were comfortable. The balcony room was spacious. The Dolphin provided a single coffee maker including Starbucks coffee. Nice touch. The bathroom only had one sink but enough room for your toiletries. The shower tub combo was roomy and clean. The shower pressure was good. Towels were plentiful.
The location is perfect. Yes, I would recommend the Dolphin. Keep your expectations on a 3 star level in regards to the rooms. 4-5 star for the rest of the hotel grounds.

The Dolphin has been our hotel of choice for many years now. We stay here once or twice a year when we bring the family to Orlando. Our reasons for staying at the Dolphin is its proximity to the boardwalk, walking paths take us to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, mini golf is right across the street at Fantasia Gardens, and The Fountain and Picaboo work out well with the children. Our only disappointment has been with the bathroom - they desperately need to be cleaned up/updated.

So disappointed. First room 4181 smelled of mold, mold on curtains, safe not functioning and was told it would be an hour before maintenance would be available to fix. during bed bug check on mattress, found mattresses stained and torn, Extra security latch on door was broken and hanging on hinges. Was out at Disney all day so did not want to take time to make move that evening. Had to put all valuables in safety box. New room better but I

Rated 4 out of 5 by LadyDM Wonderful! and it doesn't get any better than this
My husband and two kids had a wonderful time at this hotel, our room was comfortable and relaxing, the staff are very peasant and was very helpful, with just a walk or easy transports to the parks
This is a hotel to remember, We will be back soon !
Thank you Walt Disney World Dolphin, for making my family's stay one to remember.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KJSierra11 Worst SPG property in the United States
I'm Platinum with SPG, at 10:30 am we were told it would take a few minutes for our (2) rooms to be ready, it took 4 hours for the first room and about 6 for the second. Staff was rude. One of our rooms smelled moldy, issue was reported and we were told it's common and nothing was done to fix the problem. Room service trays littered the halls for days without being cleaned up. pool area was frequently closed to guests for private parties. Food in the restaurants was of poor quality and at top dollar. If this had been my first SPG property I would never stay at another one. As it is, I may cancel all my SPG reservations at other hotels for the rest of the year due to this extremely poor service. There is no excuse to treat guests the way we were treated, especially someone who has close to 50 stays this year with SPG!
