This was an experience that really changed my view of the Sheraton brand. I am a loyal SPG Gold Level traveler. Normally I will pass over the Sheraton brand and look to higher end SPG hotels.
Our suite was amazing comfortable and well appointed. The club room that our children were in was very chic as well.
The services level and friendly staff were just overtly over the top. We did not meet a single staffer that was not charming and ready to please. The staff really made the experience.
The room service was above par.
We spent Christmas in the UK and had intended to stay else where. We switched to the Sheraton at the last minute and it saved our Christmas abroad!

This holiday was perfect, starting from the room with great view, to marvellous SPA.
I would like to thank the reception staff, they all were helpful and kind. But all the staff was, indeed.
In room dining was above expectations.

Just the relaxing break we needed. As you would expect perfect. My husband and I went the hotel during the renovations and never enjoyed our stay however renovations complete and the hotel is back to its top class position. Everything was wonderful.

The Sheraton Edinbught surpassed my expectations. Excellent facilities, most likely one of the best spas I have ever been in and friendly staff made my stay excellent.

What a fantastic long weekend me and my wife have just spent at the Sheraton hotel Edinburgh. right from the porter that greeted us to very friendly and helpful staff.
cleanness was second to none and nothing was too much trouble.
The spa / swimming and gym facilities are top notch and is a great way to unwind or let off steam.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Without doubt one of the best Sheratons anywhere in the world. Staff are terrific, Club Lounge one of the best. Loads of choice of restaurants in Edinburgh but make sure you eat in the hotel - the food is fantastic in the restaurant. One of the other highlights- sitting on the roof in the hydra pool. Overall, a hotel that I would recommend to anyone- the best in a great city!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Sheraton Grand Edinburgh. Spent 2 days in Spa and finished off with treatments, so relaxing. Treatments are good but very expensive, so start saving now. Room comforts excellent, beds amazing, mood lighting in bedrooms looks great but found it difficult to get enough light to apply makeup. Loved the revamped Reception and Lounge Area, very modern and the opposite to what they had before. Worth paying the extra to have a Club Room and have breakfast, free teas coffees, soft drinks, wine, spirits and canapes in the Club Lounge. Pick Wa, the Club Lounge Host, makes you feel special and can't do enough for you. Missed Santini's restaurant this year as it has disappeared since refurb. Central for shopping and sight seeing. This is our 3rd year of staying in the Sheraton Edinburgh and it is encouraging to return each year and see lots of the same staff, nothing is too much for them. On the downside, Bath Towels & robes very neat in size if you are a plus size.

We stay here a couple of times a year and we're always well looked after. The hotel has, within the last couple of years, undergone a huge rennovation and the rooms are truly sumptious with beautiful bathrooms, innovative & stylish lighing, and stunning furnishings. The rooms are an adequate size but we booked a Club Room in the hope that it might be slightly larger - as, for the first time, we took our toddler with us and required a cot. However, the room was exactly the same as a standard room and it was a bit of a squeeze with the cot.
That said, we enjoyed some great benefits with our room including:
- free access to the spa
- access to the club lounge for breakfast and evening drinks & canapes
The location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh city centre

The facitiaties are not included in room rate! The Cleopatra Baths were out of order. I wouldn’t consider a sauna a spa treatment and would not expect to be charged £30 per head for the what is inclusive in 99.9% of all other hotels of a similar standard.
It’s really very disappointing indeed.
I could understand managing demand by booking allocating times for guests on arrival or charging for peak periods but to charge for a accessing a sauna is not fitting with what I had expected from the Sheraton group.
I doubt I will be back as long as that policy exists. I think is greedy to ask for that on top of the room rate.

Two rooms booked close together for a birthday celebration. No TV remote in one room on arrival. New one not brought when asked. Brought late at night when asked again, then discovered TV Not working (coincidence?). Next morning asked duty manager to move us for remaining 2 nights - offered 20% off rate for the night for that room. Not happy that 50% off was only agreed to when pressed. Restaurant not open. Limited menu offered and served in foyer areas. Very unsatisfactory. Feel we should have been notified in advance of stay (booked several weeks in advance) that restaurant not open. Duty Manager was 'sorry we were disappointed'. How about 'sorry we have failed to offer a satisfactory standard of service'? During the stay two 'room cleaning' trolleys were parked outside our rooms for the whole 3 days. Why not parked in cupboards? Horrible sight.

We booked this hotel the night before and were really impressed by the friendliness of the staff on arrival. Throughout the stay the staff were always helpful with any advice. The rooms were ideal and modern and along with the central location of the hotel made it easy to explore. The added bonus was also the car parking facilities. We certainly will be returning next time we visit Edinburgh!

I highly rateThe Sheraton,Edinburgh but I was most disappointed that our Club room & Suite were not cleaned and bed made on our return from a day out in the City at 5pm. Whilst staff were prompt in dealing with my dissatisfaction,we did not want the inconvienance of room cleaning etc at 5pm!
I was informed that it is Sheraton's Worldwide policy to clean vacated rooms first.Disappointing policy as obvioulsy guests comfort is not overriding priority after all.

Room was clean, quiet and pleasant but bathroom was cramped. Lighting was very confusing to point of being annoying. I hated "mood lighting." i want lights on when i hit switch -- not color choices. Also don't like dark halls where lighting is motion activated. I missed old seconf floor bar area up staircase from foyer. new bar restaurant has all the charm of McDonalds.

We stayed for our daughters 18th Birthday so needed three rooms which were all to a high standard. We were on floor 7 so we could use the club room. Which we loved well worth the extra cost and a nice place to meet up before going out in Edinburgh. The staff were great and very helpful getting us seats together and drinks quickly. If you are looking for a relaxing hotel please book here as spa was amazing but most of all it was a great nights sleep. I was not woken by lorries, people, doors or the normal hotel noise you get! Thanks to all the staff we will be back.

My wife and I spent a very relaxing weekend in the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa. The location is superb, close to Princes Street shopping, numerous buses stop beside the hotel so getting around is never going to be a problem, particularly when an all day bus ticket is only £3.50. The airport express bus stops a couple of hundred yards from the hotel. Our taxi from Edinburgh Waverly station was less than £7.
There are two entrances to the Hotel: the pedestrian one at Festival Square and vehicular around the corner. The lobby sets the tone for the hotel: big, bright, and beautifully decorated. Reception staff are very welcoming indeed. We arrived early, but this was no problem at all. Our bags were taken, and Ignacio promised to telephone when the room was available. We went out for a walk, and sure enough, we had a call from the hotel.
On returning to the hotel, we collected room keys, our bags had been placed in the room, and we were given a rundown of what to expect from our Club floor room.
A clever touch is that guests have to swipe a room key in the loft to access the guest rooms. This adds to the security of the hotel.
Club rooms are on the 7th floor, and ours was almost beside the lounge.
Many reviewers have mentioned the mood lighting in the rooms, and after some initial bemusement were very pleased with the results. The room had many nice touches: glasses were in a compartmentalised drawer, illuminated wardrobe, reasonably priced movies and minibar (other hotels please note), to name just a few. The bathroom was well appointed with both shower and tub, and mood lighting extended here too. Bottled water was provided, and unusually was replenished each day.
The Club Lounge is open from 0700hrs to 2200hrs for soft drinks, snacks and tea//coffee. I particularly enjoyed the espresso in the lounge. There is complimentary internet access and two PC terminals with printing facility, which is useful for those who wish to work.
Canapes and drinks are served between 1730hrs and 1930hrs. A good selection of alcoholic drinks are served and the range of canapes is of a very high standard. The lounge serves a continental breakfast until 10.00am. This consisted of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, cereals, breads, pastries and one hot item (changed each day). All were of a very high standard. The lounge staff were very pleasant and helpful indeed, and made the visits even more enjoyable.
The cooked breakfast in the One Square restaurant is available to Club Floor guests for a nominal additional charge (£3!!). The hot items were of a similar high standard, and well worth the extra charge.
We were hugely impressed with One Spa. Robes and towels were offered on entrance, and we were invited to help ourselves if we needed replacements later. The pool area is huge with two jacuzzi baths which were very relaxing indeed. The thermal suite contains a range of saunas and steam rooms with various rain/cold fog showers. All were lovely and were a great way to relax. The highlight of the spa must be the rooftop pool. Warm jets of water cascading along with a whirlpool effect. Even on a cool afternoon, it was a lovely way to while away the time.
The bedroom was very comfortable, just sitting and watching tv or reading was very relaxing. A lovely touch was a tray of chocolate and chocolate popcorn together with a personally signed welcome note from the General Manager.
Overall, the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is the most pleasant hotel we have ever stayed in. So much so that we were happy to spend more time in the hotel than out exploring the sights and shopping of Edinburgh. Every member of staff we encountered was welcoming, friendly and genuinely pleased to speak to us.

This was my first visit to this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations. From the time my wife and I checked in, to check out, our experience was outstanding. The staff was warm and friendly. The overall facility is neat, clean, and modern. Our room with a castle view was spacious, and exceptional. The location is Edinburgh is great for convenient walking to shops, pubs, restaurants, historical sites, or just exploring the city. We also had dinner at the One Square restaurant which was very good. I highly recommend this hotel.
