Rated 1 out of 5 by The Old Sheration Xian Platinum guests don't get accorded the privileges they enjoyed. Suites were available and not upgraded. I've been staying at this hotel for the past 10 years and it's a far difference from what it used to be probably due to the high turnover of the staff and a new management team. Rated 5 out of 5 by A very strategic place in xian I just spend few weeks xian and this hotel is walking distance from many historical places,like the ancient city wall, the bell tower, the drome tower, the oldes Muslim temple in china and many other things that make my visit to China a great experience . Rated 4 out of 5 by Good location, great service This hotel has great training, the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home and anticipate your needs. The hotel itself is located in the old north town, so there is enough around it to explore. Great eateries within walking distance, and the hotel restaurants are also good if you don't feel like exploring. June 3, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great SPG Property in Xian Fantastic hotel in Xian! The only downside is that it’s not central – the city center is a 10 minute cab ride away, which ran me $2-3 each way. All the staff I’ve dealt with have been extremely friendly and accommodating. I was upgraded to an Executive Suite, and check-in was performed in my room. The room is spacious and despite some spots in the carpet, pretty clean. It wasn’t renovated, but it’s still much better than your average Sheraton, so I had no complaints. The toiletries are the usual Sheraton items, and I’ve got at least half a dozen bottles of water scattered throughout my room. Unfortunately, my Executive Suite smelled of burning plastic/rubber throughout the night. The next day, I was moved to a renovated apartment suite. No smell, but the layout is absolutely baffling. It’s a very small suite, and has no desk. A round table in the living room is placed near the window, but the power sockets are several feet away. So unless you have a long cord for your laptop, you’re out of luck. Trash cans are not very well located either, but after rearranging the furniture, I was good to go. Still, I found the room to be a bit cramped – these rooms could use less furniture. The Executive Lounge puts out a very impressive evening spread. Salad bar, cheese plates, about a dozen different types of food, and a good alcohol selection. You can easily have dinner here. Plats can have breakfast in the lounge or downstairs in the restaurant. Afternoon tea consists of two jars of cookies. Was expecting a bit more there. The gym is well equipped, and is open 24/7 via keycard access. It is staffed during daytime hours. No problems with Internet speeds. I booked a massage downstairs, and it was excellent. Prices are high though – about the same as that in the US. Despite the location, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travelers. March 23, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by SPG Recognition not up to par Usually stay at SPG hotel worldwide. Just checked into Sheraton Xian and was told the maximum upgrade they could extent is Executive Floor and not suite. Staff not familiar with SPG ranges of benefits. July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Green Choice had not been recognized for more than 15 times I stayed in SPG properties for more than 80 days this year. Sheraton Xian is a great place to stay, staff are friendly. The only negative is my Green Choice was not credited to my account for at least 15 times. I called SPG twice, my account was still not correct. What is going on? Tian July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Service Quality Improvement is really fast. After last time complain letter hotel management team implement some actions. Now restaurant service quality can archive my exception. Especially some staffs just like Eddy Wang, Ellie Wang, Yomi Zhang,Vivian liu and their Executive chef .Another one is concierge. That guy named Edison Zeng. He is a really nice guy. Both of service attitude and responsibility are very good. July 18, 2014
