I visited Xian for weekend trip of my family.
It is the first time that my grand mother take an airplane, so she was so excited.
The Hotel was good enough for my family, especially my grand mother.
We arrived early, But we could check in without any problem.
The lunch on the chinese restaurant was very delicious.
At night, I could watch TV(World Cup!) on bar lounge, even waitress went home.
Every member of my family said Sheraton Xian Hotel was good choice.

This hotel has great training, the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home and anticipate your needs. The hotel itself is located in the old north town, so there is enough around it to explore. Great eateries within walking distance, and the hotel restaurants are also good if you don't feel like exploring.

Fantastic hotel in Xian! The only downside is that it’s not central – the city center is a 10 minute cab ride away, which ran me $2-3 each way. All the staff I’ve dealt with have been extremely friendly and accommodating. I was upgraded to an Executive Suite, and check-in was performed in my room. The room is spacious and despite some spots in the carpet, pretty clean. It wasn’t renovated, but it’s still much better than your average Sheraton, so I had no complaints. The toiletries are the usual Sheraton items, and I’ve got at least half a dozen bottles of water scattered throughout my room.
Unfortunately, my Executive Suite smelled of burning plastic/rubber throughout the night. The next day, I was moved to a renovated apartment suite. No smell, but the layout is absolutely baffling. It’s a very small suite, and has no desk. A round table in the living room is placed near the window, but the power sockets are several feet away. So unless you have a long cord for your laptop, you’re out of luck. Trash cans are not very well located either, but after rearranging the furniture, I was good to go. Still, I found the room to be a bit cramped – these rooms could use less furniture.
The Executive Lounge puts out a very impressive evening spread. Salad bar, cheese plates, about a dozen different types of food, and a good alcohol selection. You can easily have dinner here. Plats can have breakfast in the lounge or downstairs in the restaurant. Afternoon tea consists of two jars of cookies. Was expecting a bit more there.
The gym is well equipped, and is open 24/7 via keycard access. It is staffed during daytime hours. No problems with Internet speeds. I booked a massage downstairs, and it was excellent. Prices are high though – about the same as that in the US. Despite the location, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Location is good. Did not try the pool, reataurant (besides breakfast) or other facilities. Shower problem (water not flowing up completely, tap still runs) was fixed very quickly. One day power planned shutdown was not acceptable if guest still pays full rate. Would be good if bicycles are made available for guests' use.

I have been at the Sheraton Xian multiple times since late 2013. I want to say the staff has been very friendly and helpful and has made my stay comfortable. I have used services of the lobby concierage, front desk, in room dining, Marco Polo, Great West Wall, and Tang. I appreciate all the support, but in particulare I want to point on Edward Solar, Guest Relations Officer and Javier Pol Lopez Gate West Manager. They both have been especially helpful in terms of my stay and for local information.

Although property is old and need significant upgrade, the service at this location makes up for the age.
Friendly and exhibition of genuine care are exhibited by sertvice and management staff.
Recent renovation for the fitness facilty and executive lounge brings this hotel to par with other 5-star properties in the area.
Upgrades to the HVAC and plumbing systems are a must.

-concierge staff does not fully understand my needs; I was placed in a smoking room level
-shower curtain has mildew smell.
-no room slipper
-TV freezed up after 30mins
-restaurant coffee very diluted
-was not given a check-in tag for my 2 pieces of luggage at check-out
-waited for 30mins for taxi even though taxi was booked and number given to me. the staff have to re-book taxi again
Overall experiences are poor for a Sheraton brand. Disappointed.
