Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has great features, because the staff is very friendly and efficient. The Club room should have more selection after breakfast until supper. April 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Service I frequently book at Sharaton Essen. In my opinion the Sheraton Essen is more then just a Sheraton Hotel. Compared to others Service Personal is over and above average very friendly and supportive - almost like a family driven hotel. Many thanks also to Mohamed at the reception desk. His helping hand are very valuable. March 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nec Plus Ultra My recent stay on March 26 - 28, 2014 was exceptional in every way. The room was spotlessly clean, every amenity was available, the front desk staff were multilingual, and the food in the dining room was first class. March 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by no delivering commitement on Running Equipment I was dissappointed with readiness level of lending running equipment. When I reached the hotel the receptionist lady talked about the sport facilities and I said her I did not bring my stuff due to the duration. She said no problem to lend shoe and short as they have the spare for the size I need. I was surprised but also happy hear. So I filled in the form and we agreed to delivery of the stuff at 6:30. The other morning I reached out to the reception and the recepsitonist guy said it is too early as they can be ready at 7:00. Well I waited another 30 mins and tried again. They cheched the stuff but they said unfortnately M size short is not available but XL. I was dissappointed and went back to my room. If this could be have been realized before I would sleep 1 hour more. So please deliver your commitment as agreed. February 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by it was a very pleasant stay Dear readers the staff of the hotel was very nice, the room and hotel fantastic and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant. The kitchen can be deeply recommended! February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great - thanks! Great location - everything is just within 5 minutes walking distance - f.e the shopping / nightlife / culinary street Rüttlistrasse. Great front desk staff - very helpful! The bar is great - saw famous german football club player, who seemed to have stayed there for a game. Cosy beds - valuable price. October 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing The hotel is very so so. I got once a nice room but twice now a really noisy and below standard room. Cleanliness is poor on my current stay (maybe because they are renovating the floor below). Service is sometimes good but usually below average (compared with other Sheratons - ex: Berlin) I don't feel like a platinum member. the food in the club lounge is average at best. In addition they forgot to book my SPG green points a couple of times. The key card doesn't always work. Breakfast is just average (you have great tea but why is the water not warm enough?). Need to pay more attention to details - check the Berlin Sheraton for best practices. I only stay because my company booked the rooms for me. January 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Business Standard in the Ruhr Region The Sheraton Essen provides standard business hotel features. The rooms are ok for Business travel, although the interior is a bit outdated meanwhile. There are no or only very limited Suites available (hardly any chance to redeem SPG bonusses). The staff is friendly, food is good. There's a SPG lounge which is often used to capacity. An advantage is the short walking distance to the main station and city center. Fitness room is quite small, but with up-to-date equipment. January 31, 2014
