Rated 3 out of 5 by Our stay at Sheraton Kowloon! iF i HAVE A COMPLAINT IT'S THE BED CONFIGURATIONS, i AM USED TO 2 qUEEN BEDS, EVEN TWO DOUBLE BEDS WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT i CAN NOT SLEEP IN THE SAME BED WITH ANYONE, SO WHAT WAS ARRANGED IS TWO SINGLE BEDS, i AM 6FT. 2" AND COULD NOT SLEEP THEN THEY PUT THE TWO TOGETHER AND PUT IN A SINGLE COT FOR MY WIFE TOTALY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR THE PRICE AND THE ROOM BECAME TOO SMALL TO EVEN MOVE AROUND IN! Rated 5 out of 5 by Short Stay in HK Sheraton I am happy to stay with SPG hotels, in fact, I have over 10 countries, 50 over cities experiences with Sheraton or SPG hotel. One thing I think SPG should be improved is about my profile and my preferences of staying in SPG hotels. Over and over again, they did not check my stay preferences such as King Size Bed. When I make my booking, the profile should explain my accomodation preferences. KS November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb Experience From our arrival the staff made me and my wife feel special. This hotel is conveniently located on the Kowloon side with a fantastic view of Hong Kong. A convenient walk to either the Star Ferry or a MRT station making access to other parts of Kowloon and Hong Kong easy. At the end of the day the lounge on the 16th floor offered a fantastic view of Hong Kong. The lounge's staff were excellent! August 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect location, Poor internet service Stayed at the Sheraton in Kowloon and while the location/room/Concierge were fantastic I have a few quibbles. Internet was poor for my entire group. Some had to ask not to be charged because they could never connect. Including myself. Free wi-fi in the lobby Link center was very poor as well. I was not recognized for my SPG membership either. The biggest highlight was the Concierge. Amazing!! July 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Consistent I stay here when I am in Hong Kong because it is consistent, not because it is special. June 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed We reserved two rooms, requested adjoining rooms since we are 5 traveling with kids...SPG benefits were not extended to my family...It a great location, food is good however when I travel with my family it's important they get threaded better than I do since they sacrifice when I travel. Also kids are not allowed in the fitness center...my son is doing a workout program for summer fitness. June 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This Hotel treats SPG members badly I have just been recently elevated to gold status as an SPG member and expected that I would be give a fair deal when it comes to room accommodations. Unfortunately, this hotel does not dliver their end of the bargain. Firstly, I purchased the upgraded room with oharbor view view and an area of at least 30 square meters. However, althought I was given the harbour view room, the room area and its bathroom was so small that definitely it was not 30 suare meters but more like a 20 square meter room. Secondly, when I first entered the toilet, it was very dirty that I had to call housekeeping to clean it. Last, when I checked out, the person attending to me was very rude as he enterntained another person who barged in the line when my turn came. I have been in this hotel in sevdral ocassions and this is the first time I was given such a small sized room. Perhaps this hotel punishes SGG's Gold member. March 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great amenities & convenient location Overall excellent. The only minor flaw was staff too efficient in clearing out the table when I went to get more serving at breakfast buffet. 2 times out of 5. All staff courteous & efficient. Very punctual with luggage delivery & pickup. It helps to have had recent renovations making it far better than one Sheraton in Vancouver & one in Toronto. Close to MTR. Well stocked toiletry items. Rated 4 out of 5 by Central location great staff We were upgraded to an executive suite which was great! The room has a lounge suite and the bath and shower is separate . I would not pay double the price for this room as it is not as special as other spg hotels. The platinum lounge is not welcoming I don't enjoy it. It is just a converted bedroom. The staff are excellent and the breakfast is great! April 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs improvement I have to stay at this location a lot for work and, personally, I think it needs a serious overhaul. There's nothing "bad" about the place, but nothing is great. The service is adequate, the rooms are adequate, but overall it's a bit dated, needs some room improvements, the staff is just so-so, and this place really needs to become more of a destination hotel than what it currently is. Rated 3 out of 5 by A little tired... The location of the Sheraton in Kowloon cannot be beat, but the room I stayed in was a bit tired. The wood furnishings were chipped and the carpet looked soiled. There is also the matter of the sour mildew smell that permeates most Hong Kong hotel rooms near to the harbour. The public areas were beautiful and the staff was topnotch, however. I chose this hotel for the Starwood points. May 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good location, poor check in staff The location is very close to metro, ferry and bus lines that will take you anywhere. Nathan street is too loud and crowded, but can be avoided. The staff at check in was horrible - it took me over 30 minutes to check in because I was using a combination of free night awards and paying for other nights. I almost walked out I was so frustrated! April 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Kowloon on Nathan Rd Attendants service has been slipping a bit at this hotel. Attention to customer service was much hiogher yrs ago whenn Sheraton employees made guests feel special/appreciated. Now if you ask a question you almost feel that you're bothering the employees. Brkfst service on the 18th floor was the slowest I've ever experienced at the hotel. Twice in three days my order was forgotten December 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by small room, but excellent room service and cuisine i stayed only 1 night, travelling for biz, it was the first time I stayed at Kowloon side which I personally consider non convenient for my business. Over all the rooms at regular floors which I experienced, where very tight, especially the entrance, with the bathroom occupying half of the room. The food was excellent, I ordered 4 times during my stay and everything was delicious. March 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Location Location Location Location. The location of the Hong Kong Sheraton is prime. It is right on the main street Nathan Road where all the shopping and interesting things to do occur. It is also right on the pedestrian boardwalk along the waterfront which is the best view of Hong Kong Island. The subway is very accessible and is easy to navigate. There were many options for dining within the hotel however they were alittle costly. The advantage is that Nathan Road has unlimited options for shopping and dining. The only downsides were that the front desk staff were not very pleasant or welcoming which was surprising in that I stay at Sheraton Hotels worldwide and that is something I am accustomed to having. The concierge was friendly but seemed annoyed when asked more than one question. The deluxe room though stylish in appearance was small and seemed cramped though the room had everything necessary within the room. June 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing care Little attention has been given by the staff: when you are arriving from the other side of the world, warm welcoming and attention would be expected. I was given a very noisy room: I initially thought the train station was underneath when I discovered my room was next to the lift cases. When you are jet lagged this is not great. At check out nobody not asked about my stay... February 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Location and Staff The Sheraton is one of the best locations in Kowloon. Great staff and roof top pool. they need to include internet and breakfast when you are paying $350.00 US per night and a SPG Gold member! Most hotels include this but Sheraton likes to charge extra for these and that is nonsense! May 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great service The online SPG staff was able to accommodate my request to a suite upgrade prior to my long stay from the US. This was greatly appreciated as I was staying for 18 nights in Hong Kong. The property had a bit of wear but was undergoing renovations to address this issue and I believe I will stay at this property next time I visit and hopefully, in the newly renovated rooms! Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice hotel, great location The hotel was very nice. Rooms were on the smaller side but nicely appointed. June 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by bad attitude of front desk When i check in in this hotel , I felt very displeased . Becuase I showed my SPG membership(platinum) , and I have courteously requested room upgrade. But front desk employee said to me here is no available room . I can understand this , but her attitude was very lack of courtesy . because when i asked , She did not find any thing in System , just directly said "NO" . April 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel has different style rooms and amenities I am an SPG member and was given a room with a city view. When i looked out of the window, the view was of a courtyard with dumpsters. I have visited HKG several times and always stayed at this hotel. The least that the reception staff could do is to check the past hisory of stays before allocating the room. If a nice room is unavailable, automatically upgrade them. March 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lunar New Year at Hong Kong Sheraton My visit coincided with the Lunar New Year celebrations and the hotel made sure that the celebrations could be enjoyed. The hotel sited beside the harbour could not be better placed for the fireworks and the street parade finishes outside the hotel. All staff worked very hard over the holiday to make sure that guests could maximise their pleasure of the festivities. February 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The REAL HK For a while, I have opted to stay at another SPG hotel, for a different view and feel, tucked away in the south if the island, away from the hustle and bustle. But the Sheraton is ultimately the REAL Hong Kong, the very heart of Hong Kong, in the thick of the action, surrounded by all the sights and sounds that define Hong Kong! The hotel itself is an old guard. It is very well-maintained and service standards are high. Rooms are spacious and light-flow is excellent! The housekeeping crew is thorough and polite. The staff of the breakfast cafe is excellent, particularly Eva, though everyone is efficient and polite. I like the gym - the equipment is fairly updated and it offers nice view of Nathan Road and the harbour. For me, the Platinum recognition is excellent. This time, they offered me a suite upgrade but I had to wait 90min for my room; having come in on a very early morning flight, I opted for a harbour-view room immediately instead. But please keep up the recognition, I really appreciate it! May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent facilities, great location We enjoyed the use of the pool , fitness center and restaurants. The staff was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the top floor bar, the view was outstanding . June 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not Much Sleep I arrived at the hotel at 7am. I had been traveling for almost 35 hours and was very tired. I knew room wouldn't be available at that time of the day, so I asked the person at the desk to call me when a room was ready. I went back to the desk at 1pm without haven't received a call and was told my room was ready. I wish someone had called when it was first ready. March 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Location and great service This was a very pleasant experience for me. It was the first time in Hong Kong and the service was amazing. The people were always very friendly, responsive, helpful and anticipated my needs. It was a very nice experience I had. The hotel is in a great location right by the harbor, restaurants, shopping and museums. I usually don't have much time to explore and have fun but this time, the hotel was so close to everything that I experience lots of fun in the city. My room had an amazing view! I was able to see the harbor lights. They are shopping malls everywhere! So you can walk to any of them. The concierge people are very helpful and gave me wonderful recommendations. Just tell them what you are looking for to experience and they will provide you with great recommendations. I hosted a program there and the conference services were excellent. All the people I dealt with during my stay. Cynthia, Carrie, Rayco, Lee Lee, and Rick provided me always with superior service and anticipated my needs. The conference room was very nice and we enjoyed natural light from one of the floor to sealing windows. The AV equipment was always great and always functioning perfectly. Our coffee breaks were great and the setup was always done in time and to our specifications. We also used one of the conference rooms for dinners and networking events. The decorations were so well done and elegant! Again, the service was great and the food! We had the Chinese menu one of the nights and everything was delicious and soo plentiful! In general the food at the hotel was great. I had a lot of fun trying local food and I also had a lot of variety for Western food. Their buffet at the Cafe has a world of choices and everything I tried was delicious. The bar in the upper floor was also very pleasant and it is a very intimate and nice place to have some drinks overlooking the harbor and enjoying the light show. The SPG lounge was in remodeling work so they were using a temporary location while the refurbished one is done. I will check it out when I'm back there in October! July 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent location and staff Located in the heart of Kowloon, the Sheraton is perfectly located for great dining and shopping. You're a short distance from the train station and the Kowloon Airport Express station. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I'd go back any time. May 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mr Good hotel Centre of Kowloon Clean and classy The view across to HK from the 18th floor sensational Very good efficient friendly staff The breakfast bar on second floor was fantastic value Quick check in and room availibility Superb front desk staff Easy to check out as well A very well run hotel Sheraton the best and educate their staff properly December 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Location to all visitor points Sheraton HK's location is very ideal as its close to Star Ferry and the MTR station. Customer Service is excellent and consistent and the same can be said for room cleanliness. Appointments in the room are very modern, one shortcoming is that there is not enough dresser/drawer space for more than 1 guest. Otherwise a great choice when visiting HK. July 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel with potential I often come to HK, The Sheraton was my preferred option, however things have changed over the years and seems to have deteriorated as time goes by. The staff is great, friendly and flexible. I was staying in the newer part of the hotel and the room was comfortable. I ordered room service and was accurate and delicious but was surprised that I wasn't able to use the cafe for dinner or breakfast. For dinner, the lady told me the restaurant was completely full and that the menu was the same at the lounge, she did not give me an option to come back a little later, just as if the restaurant was closed for guests. I tried again for breakfast...I realized that the cafe does not open until 6:30 am...TOO LATE! I noticed many who work in China were leaving without having any breakfast. I also used the gym installations, they were ok, nice view but the dressing room had a terrible smell, it was unbearable. Some other guests commented the same as they were entering. I will stay again this coming Thursday, I hope I can enjoy a peaceful dinner or breakfast. May 20, 2014
