Upon check in during Milan Fashion week, there was no recognition of my Gold SPG status. No free Wi-Fi. Nothing.
The room is in serious need of a makeover, not sufficient light in bathroom to have a proper shave, in fact, the lighting in the room needs to be addressed.
The biggest downfall was that from Saturday morning till Monday morning, ALL room service trays on my floor were lying about in the hallway, with food exposed and not very pleasant at all. I think it is unfathomable that breakfast trays from Saturday breakfast were still lining the passageway on Monday morning when I checked out.
The cleaning service of the room was just as appalling. I was out every day and only came back late at night from events, but empty water bottles and bins were not even cleared.
I have stayed here many times over the past 5 years, mainly because the bar staff are friendly and it use to be a great place to hang out at Fashion week, but that is no more. One needs more than just a pretty bar and lounge, the actual hotel floors and rooms need to be clean! - unfortunately it does not warrant its SPG status and I'll never stay here again.

Excellent experience. Concierge was VERY helpful. Lounge is first class. Rooms could use some upgrading but were comfortable regardless

The Front Office Manager, Paolo Marroni, was the most helpful I've seen. I do White House and Congress press and when my US phone would not work, he walked me to the local phone store, translated the Italian for me, and made sure I had a working phone -- critical to my work. I would have been out of touch for a week without his intervention. He also made pre-arrangements for our having nicest room possible. Likewise Executive Concierge Dionisio Gabaldo made arrangements for my wife and me to see the Last Supper painting and the Duomo Cathedral in Milan and a train to spectacular, scenic Lake Como. The hotel is wonderfully personal and its staff, led by Paolo, is phenomenal.

The Hotel had the most perfect hospitality-
I have stayed in many wonderful hotels around the world but the Sheraton Diana Milano exceeded my expectations.
Nothing was an issue Paulo and the team looked after us and made my sisters birthday a very special time in Milan-
Breakfast/ Brunch was lovely in the hip restaurant and the Business centre was great with no hidden charges!

The staff is always very professional, friendly and helpful. Mr. Paolo Marroni has always taken very good care of me and my staff. he always makes sure i get the same room and best price! I know my company and i have a choice in where to stay in Milan however we always prefer staying at the Diana Majestic!!!
I wish it was open in August and Christmas and the rooms were updates however they are very comfortable.

The Sheraton Diana is an excellent central choice in Milan and is worth a visit for the H bar alone.
The property is centrally located just 10 minutes walk from the main shopping and commercial district of Milan. It is next door to a park which is great for a run, or relaxing on a sunny day.
The hotel is relatively small and has just 6 stories which gives it a cosy, personalised feel. It has a large garden with a fountain which I imagine would be great on a sunny day or warm evening. On the ground floor is the H bar - without doubt the highlight of the property. The furniture is eclectic and the large windows lookout into the garden. In the evening there is house music and often a DJ - which combined with the buffet of snacks and canapés (which are complimentary if you order drinks) ensures it is popular with locals and hotel guests alike. The large number of outsiders ensures a buzzing atmosphere particularly in the early evening before dinner.
As a SPG platinum I was upgraded to a junior suite overlooking the garden. Like much of the hotel the room was somewhat tired and in need of a refurb. While called a junior suite it was really just a large room with lots of empty space. The bathroom was similarly large and rather empty (although a separate shower and bathtub is always a plus). Unfortunately the double bed was actually two singles pushed together - which made for a rather uncomfortable sleep. Standard Sheraton amenities were provided.
The gym is in a small room on the 5th floor. While the equipment is new and modern the small size of the room means there are not many machines and range is limited. On the two occasions I visited the two running machines were occupied so I eventually went outside for a run (a nicer choice anyway).
As there is no lounge breakfast was offered in the dining room downstairs (beside the H bar). The area was rather small and crowded. There are few single or double tables and we were allocated what effectively was a communal table with 6 other people. It was a little too early in the morning for sharing a meal with strangers in my view. Consequently on subsequent occasions I ordered room service breakfast. The breakfast spread in the dining room was poor with overall limited selections - and unfortunately the room service breakfast is not much better.
In summary the hotel has an excellent location and a fantastic bar and garden - for these reasons alone I will be back. With a renovation and improvement in the breakfast layout and spread it could become a real gem in the Starwood portfolio.

Building and rooms getting to be a bit long in the tooth. But, everything works, and reception, concierge and restaurant staffs are outstanding.
Not on the menu?? They will make it for you.
They even have wifi coverage in their garden.

Due to the above average heat, the room did not seem as cool as I wanted it. Eventually a maintenance man was sent and he changed out one of the filters in room and then the room cooled off to my satisfaction. Also good aperitifs in the bar. However. other Sheraton's hotels offered more perks for gold members.
