Rated 5 out of 5 by Myrtle15 Beautiful Property
This property is nice. We stayed in a two bedroom villa and it was perfect. We were close to all the Myrtle Beach attraction but felt like we were secluded. We felt safe and it was very peaceful. We got to check in early and check out late. The pool area was relaxing, especially the lazy river, and jacuzzi. I liked the state of the art equipment in the health club and the arcade had my favorite - pac man. We will return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KatieWh Amazing Weekend
This is our 2nd stay at this resort and we didn't think our experience could top the first - but it did. The employees are beyond helpful, courteous, respectful, and just...happy! Our villa was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. I have never, EVER, stayed anywhere where there wasn't something that could have been improved on - except for here.
Thank you so much for giving us a 3 day reprieve from our crazy world - it was refreshing and more than we could have hoped for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BKB2 Poor Grounds upkeep and poor management
My wife stayed at this resort for a conference over the weekend. While parked in the main parking lot overnight, our car became infested with ants. When I spoke to the manager about this, his immediate response was that our car was full of food or something else that attracted the ants and that the resort shared no responsibility for it. I informed him our car is a brand new 2015 (less than a month old) and there was and never has been any food in it.
I explained that a resort like this should have a grounds program that regularly treats the property for pests like this. He eventually gave a begrudging apology and threw some SPG points at us. A manager should not immediately blame the customer for an issue and should be much more proactive on trying to resolve a situation.
I would not recommend this property until there is a change in leadership and an improvement in maintaining the grounds. I will also be speaking to the booking company that put us at this location to recommend that not send more people here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DivaRun No late checkout
The resort was very well kept. The condo was nice and clean with plenty of room. If you don't need a late check out then this is for you.
We were in Myrtle Beach to run the Diva half marathon. I didn't think we would able to do the half marathon and get back to the condo in time to check out by 10:00 so I called a couple of days before to request a late checkout. I was told we had to be out by 11:00 or they would charge us a $25.00 fee. I said ok. The manager that I spoke with on Thursday said she would make note of it. Sunday after the race we got back to the condo a few minutes after 11:00 to find that our keys didn't work. We call the front desk and she sent security to open the door. By this time it was 11:20. We got in the room took showers and got ready to leave. While I was in the shower, housekeeping knocked on the two different times to see if we were ready to leave. When I got out of the shower and we was getting ready to walk out the door at 11:50 the phone rang. The front desk was telling us we had to be out of the room by 12:00 and that they were going to charge us an extra $25.00 for not leaving by 11:00. I told her I was well aware of that and that we were on our way out of the door when she called. I went to the desk and paid the $25.00 plus tax and left. My problem with this is that, we should have been told that the keys would not work after 11:00. If we had known this, we could have stopped by the front desk on the way in and have the opened instead of standing outside the door wet and cold from running waiting on security to open the door. Also, if we were going to have to pay the extra $25.00 I don't think house keeping or the front desk should have been knocking or calling until after 12:00. I found out later that some more of my running friends stay at this location and checked out last but was not charge the extra $25.00.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NoRest4Mom Housekeeping Harassment! May need a restraining order!
First let me say that the grounds are beautiful here. So much to see and do. They have geese and ducks that have taken up residence in their ponds and it was nice to see them from our room.
Our two room villa was better than expected. There was only one pan, no large pot, and one warped baking sheet but it was barely adequate for making meals for a family of 6. For a villa that sleeps 8 - the cookware should accommodate. Spacious, great seating 6 @ the table, plus 2 @ the bar. They also made high chairs available to us which was a nice touch.
There was a small water park onsite with a lazy river but there was only about 14 tubes available throughout so we never got a chance to use them. They had basketball, shuffleboard, tennis courts and a playground. They also have a nice 9 hole miniature golf course but it is incredibly close to the parking lot. Well it is in the parking lot. There were lots of people grilling on the propane and charcoal grills available on site. I debated grilling myself but one morning when I went to check them out they were filthy and the grates were covered in stuck on food.
I would rate the resort 4.5 stars but I would rate housekeeping -2.
This is a timeshare resort so I'm sure many tactics are used to get people to visit, such as $69 per night rooms if they'll sit through a presentation. In reading through the information, I saw that housekeeping minimally services their timeshare guests. I was not a timeshare guest. I paid a nightly rate as I would any other hotel but housekeeping refused to clean our room one day and I spent my whole evening fighting with the front desk about it. The front desk didn't even need know their own policy regarding what housekeeping was to do.
The housekeeper who never cleaned our room told her supervisor that she didn't understand when I spoke to her in Spanish (her first language) about cleaning everything, todo! Instead of cleaning she simply switched out the towels and went home, like home home. I took her picture as she left the property. My family played outside in the cold weather for 4 hours waiting on housekeeping to clean the room.
We spent 4 nights and no sheet change, even though I requested it.
This was after I called ahead to the front desk to tell them that we were napping and to have housekeeping do the common areas. Of course she bursts in yelling HOUSEKEEPING 4 times. Woke up all 4 of my kids and I had an instant headache.
Housekeeping called to our room every morning between 8:30 - 9am. My small children were actually sleeping in and getting rest but housekeeping would call so early and wake them up. People are on vacation for goodness sake! I woke up two mornings with a headache, which escalated to a migraine on our 8 hr car ride home. Housekeeping made this trip so stressful for me. If I wanted to clean up after my kids, washing out bathtubs, vacuuming, dishes, then I would have stayed home.
I feel cheated out of my vacation. What a waste of $900. We aren't loaded and spent a portion of our savings to have a vacation that left us feeling tired. I was so thankful to be at home tonight to get a good nights rest, finally.
We were given a small credit to our room but honestly it wasn't enough. They charge $60 per day for timeshare owners to have their rooms cleaned. That should have been the very least they did.
Yes the resort is nice but not worth the hassle. The staff was a little cold even some of the front desk staff, didn't seem to be too concerned with my concerns. I saw one person at the front desk with a walker not even bother to look up at a lady just gave quick short answers to her questions. Definitely not my past experience with front desk at Starwood hotels and we've stayed at many.
I'd try another Starwood resort but not this one. We passed way too many beautiful and cheaper resorts driving along the beach to return for more misery. So much was overshadowed by the poor customer service.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ldub76 Worst stay in 8 consecutive years
Room was lacking several features that would normally be available. Staff was somewhat helpful in gathering necessities when asked BUT these items should have been readily available prior to our arrival.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SCSheraton Nice room if you like hearing the neighbors
I realize that there are many adjoining rooms at this type of property but it's very frustrating to have to turn your TV up as loud as possible jsut to not hear everything being said or done in the room next door. I'm sure they had a very nice time but I didnt care for listening to their TV shows, evening plans, radio, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Laininj My home away from home
I am a time share owner with Sheraton and this place wins hands down all the time. The standard of service and amenities are great and the location is central to everything that I want to do when I am there. For those looking for hotel level service you may want to check in at the convention center a few blocks away as this is not where you go when you want to be waited on hand and foot. While the consierge staff are helpful they are not there to make your every disney wish come true. As for late check out that is a hotel benefit and not a time share property which is what this property is. Its great for the kids and family of all ages cause there is something for everyone to do.
