(I tried to call in my feedback to the automated service at EXT 3444 on Friday July 15th at 5:44 a.m, however there was no answer, it just rang continuously.)
We arrived to a relatively clean room. It only takes a few curly hairs in the shower to gross me out and I did in fact see those! We also found a pretzel by the TV stand and some of our dishes in the cupboard were dirty. I feel it is by far worth making every effort possible to have a clean room and I expect that from the housekeeping staff. It is rare, VERY rare that I have found a spotless room.
Other than that I have been very impressed with the service offered at the Sheraton Vistana Orlando.
On July 9th we attended a time share presentation and we were very impressed with the program and went ahead and joined even though we had made the pact with each other prior that we would stay 90 minutes and then leave. There was really NO pressure at all to purchase or to stay after the presentation. We have been to a timeshare presentation at Summer Bay resort in Orlando and after being told the presentation was 90 minutes, they are still pressuring you after 4 hours and then give you the silent treatment after you do not sign up.
The only suggestion I have is that the presenter could mention that the AMEX offer is most beneficial to those residing in the U.S. Being from Canada there were other questions we had however they were answered by Jorge who processed our purchase. Jorge was genuinely kind and helpful and did not pressure us at all. My feeling is that they do not have to pressure you because the product sells itself.
A few days later we decided to cancel our purchase, for financial reasons only! The cancellation process was easy. In fact the manager came and asked if there was anything he could help with and was happy to hear that it was only because of finances. I trust this company and the service is above and beyond. If there is a time in the future where I can afford this, I will certainly become a member! I also appreciated the kindness of supervisor Shelly and another gentleman working with her on Wed July 12th.
On Saturday July 9th, we noticed that our fridge and freezer wasn't cooling after our arrival the previous night. We called guest services at 4:00 pm and they sent Mary Mann from security who went above and beyond to help us out! She immediately offered that our damaged food was reimbursed and she called ahead to the restaurant to ensure we get some ice for our cooler to keep other food cool in the meantime.
The very friendly and knowledgeable engineering staff(Leo, Rudy and Gustavo) came to look at the fridge. Soon after they took the fridge away and replaced it by 7:30 pm. The service was professional and friendly and they did all this during a thunder and rain storm. Since this delayed our dinner time with the 3 kids, I would have expected the guest services team member to suggest that since we had lost a good portion of our newly bought groceries and the technicians were in our kitchen for 3 hours that they would send us to the restaurant on property and cover our dinner for the inconvenience and send housekeeping up to clean the floors in the kitchen because many workers were in and out with their shoes. Instead, we had dinner at 8:30 pm and I was on my hands and knees cleaning the kitchen floor. A few days later some lights by the bathroom burned out and I was hesitant to call maintenance because I didn't really have the energy to clean up after them again.
There are many pools on the property and we enjoyed visiting them all. I really like that we can help ourselves to the towels and don't have to carry around and keep track of pool towel tickets and line up to get them from a staff member or return them. Very convenient.
We enjoyed some pool side activities. The staff were professional and outgoing. Sally and DJ were so amazing and did a wonderful job getting everyone involved and keeping them engaged and entertained!! Well done!
There is an activity center but everything costs extra such as arts and crafts and mini golf. I found this to be a disappointment. Would it really be too much to let people sign out DVD's and if they weren't returned you could charge the room.
All staff that we have come in contact with have been extremely friendly. They seem to be very hardworking and go the extra mile. I hope they are appreciated by the upper management because I greatly appreciate the friendly service. It makes my vacation more relaxing and enjoyable!
It would be very helpful to have the following items in the kitchen:
-scrub pad to scrub food that has been stuck on dishes
-dish rack to dry pots and pans
-more than one steak knife

This property struggles and lacks in a variety of ways. Older resort that in some areas of the property are outdated, need attention, or is just plain disappointing. The main focus for this property is obviously presenting time share instead of improving and maintaining the quality of the resort. I was very disappointed!

We were very surprised by how large the room was . Beds were very comfortable and of course the Master include a Jacuzzi tub which was fantastic!

I did tons of research on hotels for my family of 5 near Disney. I decided to stay here bc a friend insisted it was the best. Having stayed many other resorts on and off Disney property I can say, its the best. Im a neat freak and this place is very clean, and house keeping does a great job. I was questioned by staff when entering my parking lot gates since I didnt have my key w me which I so appreciated they were diligent on security. Plus the rooms, wow. Soo much space and the best part parents.... The balcony is screened in. Yes! No worries for the kiddos here. Loved it !!

This hotel doesn't honor Gold members. No gold member line check in and had to fight for late check out.
My experience has been very poor considering I had a 1am check in from a 2 hour delayed flight. The front desk was helpful but the driver dropped me off at 1:30am across the resort and had to walk for 30 minutes to find the correct building location. Finally asleep by 2:30 in the morning to be woken up at knock on the door for a taxi pick up at 6am that I didn't call. Next, the front desk called and woke me up at 7:30 am to ask me how my stay is going!
There are no bottles of water in the room either! This place will nickle and dime you for everything.
If you're a business traveler do not stay at this hotel because you won't get any sleep, rude staff and do not provide any amenities free of charge to loyal gold members!
Needless to say I'm checking out early and never coming back!

The resort was extremely comfortable and accommodating for my family. They responded immediately to requests and the rooms were great. I would definitely stay at this resort again.
