Rated 5 out of 5 by Debbie16 Great for a weeks stay - very comfy
This hotel had everything we needed for a longer stay. We stayed on the club floor and had easy access to a quick friendly breakfast and early coffee. Tea and snacks available late in the afternoon. The room was clean and the beds and linens very comfy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bugbean Great Rate and Dogs Allowed!!
Things I liked: GREAT military rate, bed was very comfortable, room itself was nice and clean, and our dogs were allowed, which was a huge plus.
Things I didn't like: coffee maker was dirty where you put the water and had a hair in it, shampoo and conditioner were mediocre, drink and food prices were outrageous, and very disappointed with the high price of wifi, I'd like to know how they justify the cost per day, when I doubt it costs them very much, if anything, to have it available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VEETS2013 The hotel is very nice.
Our room was on the Club level and was excellent. Next visit we will request a room facing the outside. The Club Lounge should serve liquor and the continental breakfast should be expanded. The staff we came in contact with was professional and helpful. Room Service food presentation could be improved.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Federer Great hotel but naive staff
Staff did not make much effort to interact with the me.. I could not get one staffer to make sightseeing recommendations as I was in town without a car. They told me to walk a mile up the road to Kohls for shopping! Very disinterested & disengaged other than checking in & out.
Are these young immature college students who have never traveled? They should train in Chicago or New York to see how it should be done.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JohnnyZ lazy front desk personnel
I asked 3 different people on 3 separate occasions to fix the sink in our room AND to turn out the lights in the adjoining meeting room that acted as a bright night light in our room. No one would do this. No one would take responsibility to fix the problems. No one of your front desk people or manager cared enough to respond. The moral of the story is if there is a problem a visitor has at this hotel, NEVER expect anyone to address it and likely only offer a feeble excuse or "sorry"!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ceecee77 HORRIBLE!!!
We stayed for one night last weekend.
The "basement wing" is dirty, unkempt, rusty, and moldy. There was mold on our windowsills that had peeling paint, plaster literally falling off the ceiling, dirty "crispy" towels hanging in the shower, rusty electrical outlets that were literally falling apart in two pieces, peeling wallpaper, paper-this walls (and someone was vomiting violently at 4am on one side, a baby crying on the other-no joke) , and garbage in the hallway.
It was horrid.

I had a lovely time in Burlington, knowing I would never be in my room I didn't have a problem with the conditions of the hallways (mold growing on the ceiling) being filthy. I am aware you are under-going renovations but maybe you should offer your rooms at a discounted rate. Something I was not ok with however, were that my sheets were filthy and stained.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KVK1 Disappointing stay
During check-in I was asked if I wanted to pay a small fee to upgrade to a Club Room. I declined but asked if I could gain Club Lounge access durning my stay. The young lady at reception stated no she couldn't, I responded "that's disappointing". Her next response floored me..."we aim to disappoint" and she continued for the next 10-20 seconds repeating "disappoint" in her conversation. Well, she aimed and succeeded. This is the first time I have ever been declined complimentary Club Lounge access upon requesting at other Sheraton properties.
The hotel has a worn look. My sink was draining extremely slow, after being told someone would be right there, I had to call back after 30 minutes to inquire as to the definition of "be right there."
I opted not to discuss with management because when I approached reception the senior person at the front was being read the riot act for the removal of an occupants belongings before she had checked out..he had his hands full.

There was a great difference in the room I had last visit and this visit. From the smell of the room to the amenities. Not very pleased this visit. The checkout almost billed me for internet which had been comped to me. I had to remind him that he in fact had comped me. This was an expensive stay. The waitress in the breakfast restaurant was very nice and did her job very well .

From the rate quote i was given when I asked for the UVM discount being $40 higher than i found on my own. To the room we were given at 8:30 at night being dirty with unmade bed and trash in the room. The room was upgraded to the club floor which was already closed ( open to use but refreshments closed) Tub in my room was very dirty. Walls around the elevator had chocolate or something all over. Used the rest room in the conference center the nect day and all stalls were dirty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ktg900 Nice Hotel - Scary Safety
Loved the hotel & its employees were great, services were spot-on. However, we were uncomfortable with the many out of service safety systems (fire alarm by aback door & covers on sprinklers, broken tile trip hazard on elevator). It would help to change renovation signs from "Renovation Anticipated" to "Renovation Planned for (early 2014 or spring 2014 or whatever) so I know when I'd be okay to come back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KathyM Fantastic Stay!
I reserved 2 rooms on the Club Level, we were celebrating my 40th high school reunion, my daughter's 32nd birthday and my 2 grandaughters 1st trip to Vermont. The rooms were outstanding - connecting rooms (king bed for me, 2 double beds for the girls). Most comfortable beds and bedding. The maids kept us supplied with towels galore!
We had a slight problem getting the free Wifi and had to have that adjusted when we checked out, but overall it was beautiful. Loved the pool!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Amalou Does a free night equal a crappy room?
I used my SPG points for a free night at the Sheraton in Burlington. Although the staff was very nice and accomodating, it did not compensate for the crappy room I was given. I was expecting a 2 double-bed room, so I was thrilled when I was told I had been upgradedto to a 2 queen-bed room. Until I found out that the door key was not working, the phone was not plugged in and the AC did not work. Some nice guy tried to fix everything, but still the door key did not work, and the AC fan (on auto) ran most of the night with enough decibels to wake up an army. As for the hotel itself, no vending machines (on my floor) even if advertised...and a nice pool filled with screaming kids: how about family hours and adult hours? It would also be a small plus to have real glasses in the room, instead of those flimsy plastic glasses.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 214JV Average for an above average price
I was presently surprised at the lobby and staff when first entering into the Sheraton this past weekend. Everyone was friendly and the lobby was clean.
The problem came when I got to my room. The hallways are dingy and the rooms are too. It was clean enough for a one night stay, but the rugs are stained, the door to the bathroom had a dent in it, and it was extremely outdated. What concerns me the most was the sign to the hallway, saying "preferred starwood guest." If these were the preferred rooms, I can't imagine what the other rooms looked like!
I would have expected A LOT more from the hotel based on the price that we paid. I have stayed at many other hotels (I travel at least once a month) and for the price, it was not worth it.
I will not be returning when there are cheaper, cleaner, and brighter options in the area.

The staff at your hotel are excellent. I had breakfast in the hotel 2 days and the wait staff were very attentive. I had food and drinks in the resuarant lounge area twice and the service was incredible. Dave in that area made recomendations and did a great job serving me. I'll be back to see Dave again. When you are traveling on bussiness you look for a place to stay where you feel at home, your staff made me feel that way. Keep your staff they are great. Thanks Mike

Rated 5 out of 5 by Miyasmom Breakfast availability
I would have liked to see a breakfast area that had a quick-type breakfast & opened earlier than 6:30. While on a working trip, we have to leave much earlier & some kind of small buffet--muffin, coffee, oj etc would be appreciated. I did not want to eat a full breakfast & needed to leave earlier than waiting for the restaurant to open.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mklslp Huge Disappointment
We paid over $200 for this room plus an extra $20 for their club breakfast. The room was not worth $200. It was a standard-sized room, the furniture was dated and lacked attention to detail in the maintenance and cleaning. For example, the brass and glass coffee table had crumbs and spills accumulating in the crevice between the glass and frame. Also the air conditioner had a hard time keeping up with the heat which was hard especially since our room was on the fourth floor.
The next morning when we went for our "club" breakfast it was continental - fine, but a half an hour before breakfast was over, they had very little food left because they had run out of most items. So for $20 my husband and I had two bags of trail mix and a couple of cups of coffee. We will never stay at the Sheraton in Burlington, Vermont again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by shar33 Not what we expected for a Sheraton
This hotel fell below our expectations for a Sheraton. The halls were dirty, our room had a weird smell. The bathroom was not clean. When made reservations booked 2 queen beds and were given 2 double beds and were told nothing else was available. The pool needs major improvement - my son wouldn't even swim in it and he swims in murky lake water! Tried to check out a day early and were told that we would be charged for the extra day. Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NewYorker27 Looks can be deceiving!
Walking into the lobby, the hotel seems very nice. Seems updated and modern. But let me tell you Looks can be deceiving. We received our keys and were told to walk down a hallway right off the main lobby to our room. Walking down the hallway towards the room we should have anticipated what to expect. The stench, the holes in the wall, the wallpaper peeling and patches of spackling on the ceiling. We arrived at our room and the door has marks and stains on the front. We entered the room and the entire room smelled like a dirty locker room! It felt like a cheap motel. It was DISGUSTING!! The carpets were stained, the decor seemed like it was from 1970, it was dark and dreary. I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about being moved. I was told that the hotel was booked for the night and there was nothing they could do. I then left the hotel and contacted Starwoods Preferred Guest Customer Service. We stay very often in other Sheraton hotels and have NEVER experienced this trashiness. Thankfully the customer service representative was able to have us moved to a much nicer room, which is ironic since I thought the hotel was sold out for the night. Apparently, they are about to start construction this week in the section where they originally placed us. It would have been in their best interests to not have guests staying there. Once we were moved, overall, our stay was much better after our initial disappointment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KB63 room was disappointing
The public areas of the hotel were nice, but the room was terrible. The window of our first floor room looked directly into the pool area seating, so the drapes had to remain closed. The 2 small dim lamps did little to light the room - it was dark and unpleasant. Too dark even to read a book. The decor was awful and dated. The one chair in the room was dirty. The only nice feature of the room was the beds which were comfortable and had fresh, modern bedding.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lifeisgood Great Hotel except for Bed
I've learned over the years not to expect too much from a Sheraton, and the Burlington Sheraton met my expectation.
Bed was truly awful. I would have shifted to floor but didn't bring my sleeping bag.
Hoping for a better bed next time, but I plan to bring a bag with me (my daughter likes the pool).
Food and common areas are both good.
Pool great for kids, but good luck finding a towel.
If you can sleep on a super soft mattress, you should be ok at this hotel.

This hotel was due to undergo renovations when we arrived, and this was not made aware to us at the time of booking. The carpet was torn and the shower bracket was loose in the bathroom. I did not think it was good value for money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by parentuvm1 Some rooms are truly terrible
When we checked in, the room we had reserved was unavailable, so we were given an alternative room--which was the last one available although we had made reservations a month in advance. The room was tiny, had pipes running on the outside of the walls in the room, the only closet was in the bathroom, and the room smelled of mildew. We complained the next morning and requested to be moved to a different room. We had booked a room with two beds, the first night, we had to share a queen size bed, but the second night, we were able to have a room with two beds, and that room was also cleaner and more acceptable. Obviously, the hotel has some nice rooms, but it also has some of the worst rooms I have ever seen in a hotel. When making reservations, you run the risk of having the really nasty room as well as possibly having a very nice room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FrankHawaii This hotel has safety issues that need to me addressed
The parking lot and entry area to the rooms from the rear (entrance C in our case) was dark. There were no lights whatsoever. My wife tripped and could have hurt herself. We informed the front desk as we went out to dinner, and were told that the lights would be turned on. When we returned from dinner, there were still no lights.

Had originally booked at another hotel and had to leave, Sheraton took us in no problem even though we had our dog with us. Room was clean and it was easy access to let our dog outside. Great location right near UVM and downtown. Would have preferred a better price on the room, but overall a positive experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AndKev Great location, Nice pool area
We stayed at the Sheraton Burlington from December 13th-15th 2012. Easy and friendly check-in and check-out. Pleasant staff throughout hotel. Good food at Tuckaway's and nice continental breakfast at G's (club floor). Beautiful pool area. Once club floor lounge is fully renovated, I'm sure that it will be nice. Would stay here again.
One small thing: It would be nice to have fresh chocolate-chip cookies at the front desk for guests of the hotel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MikeB1 This hotel was a huge disappointment
With the exception of the bar late at night, the service was slow, rooms were not cleaned, rooms were not restocked and overall not what we have come to expect from the Sheraton. Room was not stocked with coffee or condiments upon arrival. First day my room was not serviced or cleaned. I opted for the green route the second day, and my room was not cleaned at all. I opted out of the green route, and my room was only partially cleaned, was not vaccummed, towels replaced or condiments replenished. Rooms were not looked at till late in the afternoon (4 pm or later). Went down for breakfast, three tables occupied, wait staff took our drink order and never came back, we left after 15 minutes and went somewhere else. Overall not what I expect of a Sheraton Hotel and, although I used points, definitely not worth the money. Staff were slow and not apparently customer oriented.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Irened73 This stay was okay...
Room had ants, one of the pillows had blood stains, there was only a quarter roll of toilet paper and no extras in the room. We had to take bath tissue from the public restroom. The shower was stained and dirty. In addition a hotel employee mistakenly knocked on our door in the middle of the night and didn't even apologize for disturbing us. Lastly the wait at the restaurant for breakfast was too long and by the time we received it it was cold.
