We chose the Sheraton Ft Lauderdale Beachfront because my mom is handicapped and this was one of the few hotels on the strip that you didn't have to cross the street to go to the beach. And the main pool was not on the 5th floor like many of the other hotels. We felt we could leave her by the pool while we run down to the beach and get back quick enough. We were in the main building on the beach side. The pool next to the main pool is not that nice. It is not heated and very old. The only fun thing is the port holes that open up to the restaurant inside. The oceanfront pool was a little walk from our building. And when we got there the handicap elevator was not working so my mom had to walk up the flight of stairs which was hard for her. We later found another way to the pool through the building. The walk from the pool was pretty far considering the beach is wider in this area than all the other hotels. If you are traveling with handicapped person, I would recommend staying in the beachfront tower although those rooms don't have a balcony. If I had known all this, we would have stayed at the Marriot BeachPlace Towers as it is actually quicker to get to the beach even with the elevator and crossing the street and there is more to do in the immediate area. As far as the rooms go they need some help. We were considering checking out, but we were only staying one night and didn't want to lose beach time. Popcorn ceiling, old looking knockdown on the walls, furniture with cracked formica, broken lamps...The only positive things about the room were the nice beds, the view, and they were clean, just old looking. Disappointing for Sheraton. We expected more as we have stayed at the Westin up the street before and Vistana Villages in Orlando. Too many better options in the area. We will not be back. If you like average than you will be fine here, but if you expect a little more, than that go somewhere else.

We had an excellent expierence, right up till we tried to check out. At check out we were informed that we couldn't close out our bill and that the hotel would make any charges later to our card. That is totally crazy to not be able to sign for final charges. The delay was blamed on the computer system, it may be time for an upgrade. We also rented an in room movie at $20.00, are you kidding me? Your staff and location were awesome!

This is a tale of two hotels. The old section which is dingy, dirty, with worn out warped furniture and a bug problem and a clean nice newer section. I wouldn't stay here again with the possiblity of getting put in the old section. I had tons of ants crawling around the door frame, on the wall, on one of the beds. The "wood" on the desk was warped and peeling off in several places. the room was just not clean. Door hinges had years of dust on them.

I do not feel like you should have to pay to park at the hotel that you are staying at or for the beach chairs or umbrella. If the pool is open, towels should be available. If you advertise free WiFi it should be noted in the lobby only, if that is the case! This hotel needs to update the check out options in the booklet in the room, because we were not able to use any of the options stated. We had to go down to the lobby and wait in line to check out.

We went to Ft. Lauderdale for a short spring break. The hotel was amazing! We had a beautiful suite overlooking the beach. The choice of restaurants was great. We can't wait to go back next year. Overall, it was an awesome little vacation. I would recommend the Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Hotel to anyone. The infinity pool with windows to the Wreck bar was fascinating. This is one of those resorts where you never have to leave - they have everything.

This hotel is listed as a 4 star, but it is a 3 star at best. I'm sure it was really nice at one point, but it is in need of updating. The furniture in the room was old and worn and the sheets had holes in them. The most irritating part of my stay was the $20 per day for self parking. That should be added into the room rate or advertised on the website. It's also ridiculous to charge $9.95 per day for internet that's so slow it was almost unusable.

Stayed here from June 8-21 for a business trip with 3 other colleagues. Upon arrival, we had to pay $50 deposit for a reservation error. We understand that there was a miscommunication but hotel management should be able to contact our office to iron out the issue instead of us since it was our 1st time in FL. After the issue was fixed the next day, we got our deposit back so that was good. The next few days were okay, however there were inconsistencies in the room maintenance. There were days that water and coffee are not replaced, some days bathroom necessities are also not supplied. I had to call twice for laundry bags and tickets and never received any. I ended up going to bell service at the lobby to get these which is very inconvenient. The worst thing that happened was the laundry service lost one of the shirts I sent for service. I sent my laundry on a Tuesday, reported the lost shirt same night, and had to follow up every day because no one took care of the issue. Jessica, the desk manager left me a voicemail on Thursday and told her to call me back but never did. I had to call her attention at the lobby to once again ask for an update. The shirt was never found, but Jessica offered to give points in my SPG membership. I understand that the hotel staff are very busy but attention to issues should not be neglected.
On a positive note, the hotel was very nice. Rooms are well kept, and the ambiance very relaxing. On a busy day at work, coming home to the hotel was such a good feeling. The room service was amazing. The staff at the restaurant are great, please commend Carlos for being such a courteous and wonderful server.

The Bathroom had hair behind the door, in the tub & around the toilet. There were beads on the floor near the bed & the telephone was really dusty & gross. The chair at the desk was very worn & ready for the garbage. I used my slippers the entire time, was afraid to walk on the rug. Furthermore there was a musty, cigarette odor that was awful. Since I was only staying overnight, did not bother to change rooms. Assumed the others were no better.

Spent 4 days with the family and had an excellent time. The beach location is the best on the strip. You can access the beach direct from the pool area without crossing the road as several other hotels down the beach requie. Staff is super friendly and responsive. Management is very responsive also. I brought a small issue to their attention and it was immediately rectified. The pools were great and well heated. We would definitely stay again.

The staff was outstanding! My husband and I could not have been treated any better. On the other hand, the air conditioning unit was so loud that I had to sleep with a pillow over my head the first night. We decided to take a chance with the heat in order to get a good nights sleep. We turned the air conditioner off at night for the remaining three nights. We even had to turn the volume up on the television to compete with the noise of the AC.

staff were helpful/friendly. rooms were clean, if a bit musty due to lack of ventilation. Bit of a walk to the pool/beach if you aren't staying in the beach tower. Had random skunk smells coming through the vents one afternoon. Staff at the pool/beach were great, if a bit short staffed over the long weekend on waiters for food/drinks. Parking is pretty expensive at $20 self park or $25 valet. Lots of families in the pool, but still enjoyable

I stayed at the hotel last week and the service was great. It is an ideal location. I was upgraded to an oceanview room which was very nice and appreciated, although as it faced A1A it was a little noisy, so that took some time to adjust to. The only issue is the marina building, is a little distant from the main and pool buildings so to use the gym it is a bit further and you must use the walkway but it was a lovely vacation. Thank you.

Staff was friendly and willing to help. It actually caught us by surprise how nice they were to us.
Amenities were well kept and even during the Memorial weekend peak. Everything seemed to operate efficiently.

This hotel provided the setting for a relaxing getaway! The room wasn't new or overly luxurious, but clean and comfortable. The private beach, pool and beachside bar were fantastic. We enjoyed our meals at the hotel, and especially loved Dos Caminos. The staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating.

I had a room with a very nice appearance however, the bed was not comfortable. I was told that the bed was new and that nobody had ever complained about it. No one bother to check to see if the bed mattress was perhaps on the wrong side since the bed was suppose to be cushioned they simply offered me a comforter to put on top of the bed to make it softer. It felt like i was sleeping on the box spring. I was not offered another room.

This hotel is on the beach however the rooms are in a bit disrepair. The door appeared to have been broken which made it difficult to open/close. The room smelled musty. The front desk staff was less than pleasant. Took over 20 minutes to check in. Once we got off the evelvator on our floor, we could smell cigarette smoke (and other) from other rooms which was displeasing. $400+ I expected much more.

This is a very odd hotel with a spraw of 3 towers. Regardless of where you are staying, you are going to be walking. There is no platinum lounge at this property. Breakfast at the restrurant was terrible. Parking it $20 a night and the garrage is a hike from most rooms. There is a beach area and you get chairs, but some shade will cost you $15. Kids meals don't include any type of drink. This is simply not a family frendly hotel..

room was very small and large desks and table for tv took up too much room. Balcony was great, but furniture needs major overhaul. including mattress. Glad we had 2 beds, we needed one just to put luggage on. I don't know why they have a luggage stand in the room. there is no place to put it. Common areas still smell like smoking area. Restaurant has very limited menu (Mexican) if you like Mexican breakfast.

The hotel certainly met our needs for our mother/daughter vacation in South Florida. The room was clean, the restaurant had tasty and efficient breakfasts, the wreck bar was a nice place to relax at the end of the day, and the workout room was much more than I expected (I thought it would be just cardio machines, but it also had free weights and weight machines). We were not there for the beach or pool, so I cannot comment on those amenities. All staff we met, from the parking lot attendants and front desk staff, to the food and beverage service staff (restaurants and room service) were extremely courteous and provided a high level of service. The security staff was especially attentive on the night I had a medical issue and the paramedics had to be called. We really appreciated all he did for us. Only one a couple of days was something not fully stocked by our maid service.

My wife and I stayed for five nights. Hotel is old, but very well maintained and clean.
The staff was excellent from the moment we walked in until they hailed a cab for us when we left. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Room was very quiet. A/C worked perfectly and very quiet. Beach was great. Beach staff very attentive. We travel a lot and have had good and bad experiences. This was a good experienece. We will be back.

After checkout they were not accommodating at all, we had a late flight so we wanted to take advantage of beach ,but needed to shower before flight I could not get a straight answer the day before check out. Then I went down in the morning they told me no problem just come back and we have a hospitality room, when we got there they made us wait 1 ½ hours and we almost missed out flight.

The first room I was assigned to was in the beach tower. The room stunk and the furniture was stained. There was black mold on the ceiling tiles where water had been leaking. I made two phone calls to guest services requesting a better room. On the first call, I was told that I was in one of the better rooms. On the second call, I asked to speak with Matt who checked me in - I was told that had left for the day. I then went down to the front desk and spoke with Matt - he had not left for the day. Matt responded immediately in finding me a different room. The best experience of my stay was how quickly and professionally Matt addressed my concerns. The next room was certainly better than the first, but the bathroom smelled awful - probably the shower curtain. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. As a travel agent, I have completed the training and I have clients cruising out of Fort Lauderdale where they always need a pre-cruise hotel. I'm very disappointed that this hotel doesn't measure up to the standards of the Sheraton brand.

The Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Beach is not to SPG standard. Rooms were in desperate need of an update. The carpet in the hallways wasn't vacuumed, I found hair and dust throughout the room and I found mold on my mattress. I was moved to a new room and the box spring was broken and noisy. Despite the room issues, they have a great pool, awesome beach and the staff was attentive.

We used our SPG reward to stay in beach tower on 4th of July. Awesome experience, and met our beach expectations. Tower is right on beach, have use of 2 pools too, great location for fireworks, and sounds silly, worth getting out early for chairs on the beach (awesome cushions on custom terry covers) and reasonable umbrella rental cost. Recommend eating outside hotel, but is close to everything. Parking cost reasonable.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff member at check-in. I arrived at the hotel at 9:45am and she was able to find a room for me and allow me to check in early. I was pleased with the private beach access and the beach bar/grill service was outstanding. This hotel had all the conveniences that a beach hotel would need...Starbucks, bars, and a fantastic beach!

Horrible experience. Marina Tower. I was woken up by garbage trucks at 6:30 am outside by 3rd floor window. Every time I almost fell asleep again another loud boom from either a beer truck or something else!!
I was there on business..had checked in after midnight and needed the rest to work the late shift the next day. Staff offered to change my room but it was pointless by that time. Why do they put people there!?

This was really a nice hotel. I loved having the Starbucks in the lobby. The Dos Camino's had excellent food and service. Bar tender Nathan was awesome! The pool and the hospitality here was the best. Loved the private beach as well.

I can't compliment the staff at this Sheraton enough!
Front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly.
The waitress's and bartenders were terrific!
In particular Nicole at the beach bar and Amanda in the Mexican restaurant.
The valet guys were very quick.
Like I said, I can't say enough great things about everyone at this hotel.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Thank you Sheraton for a great vacation.

loved this hotel very different staff treats you like royalty infinity pool relaxing and beautiful wonderful view of the beach next to pool beach beautiful chair umbrellas brought out to you by staff complmentry never had free chairs and umbrella at a resort before. food and drink service on beach never have to leave chair hotel situatated in middle of fort launderdale plenty of shops restaurants and activities
