Rated 3 out of 5 by just ok! the rooms are old but very clean. except for when i went to open the comp. bottle of water and it was already opened! freaked me out for sure and as a loyal SPG member extremely disappointing. i did not like that at all.. the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating especially from Nicole the pool side bartender. . but the hotel needs to be seriously renovated. the pool and beach access was a definite PLUS! but the most frustrating part of all was the room key cards they were constantly problematic and temperamental to say the least! myself and other guests were constantly having trouble getting into our rooms and the main building access. needs to be overhauled. Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing I have never stayed at a Sheraton property before this stay, and will not stay at one again after this stay. Unfortunately I received no recognition or thanks for my status. The room was in desperate need of upgrade/repair. I had the worst room service meal I have experienced IN MY LIFE. I couldn't eat it, and when I complained I received no help or apologies. On the positive side, there was a nice beach area, and two pools. To me, this is a two star property and no more. Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor Service Overall, this hotel has a good location, at the heart of Fort Lauderdale and it is conveniently located by the beach. However, service at this property was poor. I did participate in Make a Green Choice Program and two of the days I needed fresh towels, since I signed up for no service. After more than an hour of waiting on both occasions for the towels to show up in my room, i went and took the towels myself from the Front Desk, so that i could take a shower. Not to mention, that 20 days after my departure, the hotel did not credit my account with Starwood Points for participation in the Green Choice Program, despite my multiple calls and requests. As busy as the season might be, the service at this property does not meet the expectations of a Starwood Hotel. I will definitely consider other properties for my next visit in Fort Lauderdale. Rated 5 out of 5 by Tortuga Music Festival The only place to stay if you are attending the festival. I've stayed 2 years now and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The hotel is in the middle of the festival and the staff is very helpful. A truly great time. April 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel; don't eat at Dos Caminos Nice hotel overall - we spent two days before a cruise here. Clean room and great view of the beach. Terrific service from front desk and pool bar/grill. Was a great bonus to have the beach chairs. Unfortunately, we ate at the hotel restaurant - Dos Caminos. This was a big mistake - horrible experience. Took us over 2 hours to get through the meal and the food was bad (both burned and undercooked). Service was also poor - I don't mind being patient when the communication is good and drinks are coming, but our server went missing. Nice hotel, but walk across the street and eat at the hotel on the corner - much better food and it's on the water. April 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent location at a good price Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale is a great location for a good price. The accommodations were very comfortable and the staff were receptive to any requests that we had. The food at Dos Caminos restaurant was excellent. April 14, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Thank god for Tortuga...Hotel stay terrible Well to start off I just want to say that the only reason we stayed at this hotel was because of the Tortuga Festival. Therefore, the festival brought them business....with that being said I don't think that you should kick people out of your hotel because your reservation department is disorganized. Kicking people out because you guys don't have space for vehicles is not our problem as guests. Also, you allowing one car per hotel room is just unbelievable. Also, the AC and telephone in my room (1085) wasn't working. And after I told the lady at the front desk and she said someone was going to fix it it STILL wasn't working. I had to wake up Sunday morning in sweat. I am paying $400 a night to stay at your hotel!! I will never be back to your location and on top of that your hotel manager was the least bit of accommodating with multiple guests who were complaining of similar issues. I have been in customer service for a long time and no the customer is not always right but in this situation you need to plan better and make your guests feel more welcome. Unbelievable, the experience that I had to go through with your hotel. This was suppose to be a wonderful weekend and my friends drove all the way down from Tallahassee....Thank god for the Festival because my hotel experience was absolutely terrible. April 14, 2014
