Rated 2 out of 5 Needs a facelift
This hotel is really in need of a facelift. Staff is excellent and welcoming, but here are a few of its problems: 1) to turn the light on in our bathroom, we had to shut the bathroom door (door opened against the sink); carpet was worn; side tables and lamps look vintage; workout facility was good-sized but the water dispenser had leaked while we were there and had begun to damage the floor (no one on staff seemed to notice -- guests were cleaning up with towels). Good hotel for spring break college students --- not for business travelers or those looking for a nice vacation spot.

on site restaurant--very good--best part of stay at this hotel
Parking situation--don't park on 4th fl--always packed--as only way to get out of garage into hotel. Room even though in newest bldg..old, stale smelling; A/C not working properly; very loud next door bldg; Walls are thin. Needs a lot of upkeep....glad I used points as its not a $300 + tax a night hotel...closer to $60 a night

room was very small and large desks and table for tv took up too much room. Balcony was great, but furniture needs major overhaul. including mattress. Glad we had 2 beds, we needed one just to put luggage on. I don't know why they have a luggage stand in the room. there is no place to put it. Common areas still smell like smoking area. Restaurant has very limited menu (Mexican) if you like Mexican breakfast.

The parking garage smells like urine. The hall way in the building smells musty. The paint is falling off. The water flow from the vanity faucet is very small and not hot. The vanity height is too low.

I felt the hotel was dated and in need of updating. For the most part, the staff was very nice and professional. One person, Robin, was a very good waiter in the restaurant.
Restaurant was poorly managed. Many times during my stay there was no host. Service during happy hour was very bad. Only one waitress for the entire front.
Pool side cafe service was bad. Poorly managed and as a result poor service. No sence of urgency for the staff to accomidate. Only translates to lost revenues for the hotel.
Patrick, the waiter who finally came by, was a good waiter and prompt.
The beach was awsome and clean, and beach staff was very nice and professional.
My room was ok just needed updating. Dirty wash cloth was waiting for me in the shower… pretty gross. I left out laundry for to be cleaned two days in a row and it was never picked up.
The batteries in my remote were dead or the remote was broken.
Sheraton claims on the hotel room channel that it spent billions updating and expanding etc. I hope some dollars reach this hotel along with a new manager and restaurant manager.

Overall the experience was good. The beach and location are outstanding. The hotel and staff do not meet our typical starwood resorts expectations. The staff met the requests made but did not go out of their way to be friendly or extra accommodating. The hotel needs a refresh. The restaurants needs to be redone and the staff trained on efficiency and communication. The 'underground' bar is especially outdated and not a good use of space. A hot tub should be added to the pool area. Small things such as having volley balls, frisbees, and nerf footballs available for families to borrow would be a nice customer touch for the families.

My stay at the seabreeze sheraton/Fort Lauderdale was the best I've had in a long time..than anywhere else. The staff is friendly and pleasent, rooms are very clean. The staff always has a smile and asks if there is anything that they can do to make stay any better..and not with an attitude. Loved it there and look forward to my next stay.

Hotel is old
Building I stayed at is not convenient to lobby or restaurant .air conditioning has no heat option cold winter in Florida
Restaurant is Mexican no options. Since when did we make Mexican food a staple in America?
