Rated 4 out of 5 Limited WiFi
This hotel is nice, but my colleagues and I groused about the 4 hour limit on the WiFi and the weak signal in some of our rooms. On the plus side, the lounge downstairs was a very comfortable place to stsay while working online, and there are even a few desktops there. We stayed at Four Points by Sheraton the next trip through Dubai, in large part because that property has unlimited WiFi, but the trade off is that there was no lounge there.

The Sheraton Deira is like a second home. I visit there regulary and am immediately recognized and greeted by a large number of the staff there which makes one feel welcome. The staff are also very quick to respond to requests and are kind and polite. I regularly recommend the hotel to those I know.

I would not recommend this property, as they enjoy insulting SPG Gold guest (and no one has the decency to intervene, not even their General Manager or Front Office Manager). After complaining to SPG, they corrected the light which was hanging in my room, and it took them 3 days to get me a rubber mat in the bath tub). Even after staying 5 nights in this property, they did not correct the water pressure in the shower. They repeatedly kept arguing that the water pressure in the shower is as per SPG standards, which I don't agree (as I have been an SPG Elite tier member from over 6years now)

Rated 3 out of 5 by 21wingfield SPG or criminal?
This hotel is 'tired', in its room decor and facade. However the worst is saved till last when you check out and before your account is processed someone is called to go and check you mini bar contents even after you've said it hasn't been touched and despite the fact I've been an SPG member for 12 years thus there is a long history of my not abusing minibars, plus they already have my CC details on file - so much for being a Starwood 'Preferred' Guest!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DublinTtip Good Location & Ideal for Business Travel
It is a good money value business hotel close to the airport and number of restaurants serving Asian and ME food near by. It has an Executive Lounge which is a plus but could do with an update/modernization.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ian49 This Hotel had many features
The hotel met our needs and we utilized a lot of the facilities during our short stay.
The pool around the bar edging needs attention and the breakfast food should have kept warmer.
The facilities were good and we enjoyed the two evening meals we had and the Saturday evening offers are good but it would have been nice to do it every night because the buffet is on.

Sheraton Al Muteena is one of the best in that area, near airport this is one of the best hotels, Comfort, Food, rooms, staff and services every thing was just perfect, no doubt I find this hotel little expensive but even then I like it.

At check in time the hotel credit card machines were not functioning. Upon reaching my room, I found somebody in my room clearing out the contents of my mini-bar. I was basically told I could not be trusted as I had not left a deposit (not my fault). The guy left the TV and furniture at least. I tried twice more to pay a deposit (one time the people at reception did not understand as clearly English is not a prerequisite for staff at this hotel so I gave up. The second time there were 20 guests and 3 staff and lots of arguments were taking place so I gave up. The next day I wanted to make a few local phone calls. The hotel had switched off the ability to make local calls and I did not want to have to go to reception again to try to leave a deposit on my card. I then put laundry in and it was not returned to me until I insisted as I was checking out at 5.30am the next morning. Finally a guy came to my room and wedged his foot in the door until I paid cash for the laundry. I willingly paid internet charges upon check-out but I found the attitude disgusting. Very poor from Sheraton Deira. Does this hotel treat all guests like petty criminals?
