Rated 1 out of 5 by not give feel like starwood hotel living in deira Sheraton is not like living in other starwood hotels, January 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Overused rooms I have stayed at this hotel more 20 times over the years including 3-4 times over the last couple of months, the bathrooms needs a proper check, last time there was no hot water and this stay the shower was physically broken when I got into the room and the TV channels were not clear although maintenance tried to fix them with no luck, the maintenance guy even started to hit the TV with his hand hoping this approach would make it work, the check out day I got a call 11 AM from a a very rude receptionist that I cant stay a minute past 12 PM in the room. Rated 1 out of 5 by Wow, Below Sheraton Standards Can't really explain what happened during our stay @ this "Sheraton". It fees like this hotel was never really certified as a Sheraton brand hotel. The location: Couldn't be any worse. Right under the DXB south / west runway lies this hotel. No matter where you stay in the hotel, you can hear the noise of the airplanes taking off (not even landing, which is smoother). The staff: Recognition of Platinum level was minimal with an 'upgrade' to a suite which is basically a regular room with a divider. Club services: Sub-par with very limited breakfast availability and food which is not fresh. Internet connection: limited to 3 devices which seems to be the standard at the Dubai hotels, but non of them actually connected. Signal lost in the 5th floor. Service: After calling for help with the internet and not getting anyone who could help us, we gave up. At check-out no one asked about our experience but instead tried to rush us out. The night-shift supervisor kept smiling even when I shared with him my disappointment and didn't really seem to a) care, b) follow the logic of paying almost $200 a night of which I couldn't sleep more than an hour due to airplane traffic Just one big disappointment. Be warned. January 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheraton Deira ROCKS The facilities were good, had an issue with loud music from the club but the attitude of staff was exceptional. I have never had better service at a hotel ever...well done! February 16, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lawson Pryke -- Recent stay I'm always made very welcome by the staff whenever i return - that is important to me as I like the personal touch. Rooms always clean and serviced - Its a happy place May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Enjoyed I had a wonder full stay good hotel location great hotel service staff at front dest very pleasand helpfull and friendly will go again their August 9, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very basic, old, but nice staff. The staff is great at the hotel, but the hotel does not hold up to the standards of a Sheraton branded hotel. Its quite old, small gym and old, only has 1 restaurant with a limited menu, Club lounge food is not the greatest and lounge is too small. Towels are old and worn and amenities in room are sparse. Internet speed is a joke!! You think in a country like UAE who claims it self to be at the forefront of IT you can actually get some decent internet, but not at this hotel. The hotel simply does not hold up to the Sheraton standards! February 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel closet point to airport. i found good hospitalizes from the staff, but the internet services was slow. May 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by JR LACK OF EVERYTHING IN TAKING CARE OF THE GUESTS May 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Reception staff & dinning facilities The reception staff are totally unfriendly and abrupt and uninterested and unhelpful. They tell me that they had no discretionary powers where some thing not satisfactory they cannot provide to rectify the problem. They had some sort of attitude problems from the whole of the team. Also had some prejudicial attitudes towards Asian (Indian) clients. Need menu more menu choices for vegetarians and Indian choices. Internet is too expensive for the times. No free time of 30 minutes usual for SPG memebers. Will not return to your hotel even for free stay. October 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Much better than expected It was our first stay at this location. The staff were friendly, the breakfast buffet could use more variety and the tv in one of our rooms wasn't working properly. Overall we were well received as SPG members which made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel itself is not far away from the train station which makes daily commute hassle free. I'd recommend this hotel if you're staying in dubai for a short period of time and looking for comfort and hospitality :) April 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The staffs are valuable in this hotel. I stayed in this hotel on the last week of April we come as a group for our company conference. The check in is really great I noticed that it was arranged before we come. The staffs are all helpful and when we sitted one of the associates offer a welcome drinks which we feel is good welcome for us. Although I can say the hotel furnitures in the rooms is old and the carpet I think it need to be change. But most of all when you feel the good service from the staffs from the restaurant until we check out. I would like to come back in this hotel May 11, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by i was cheated at the time of chick out i had a very bad experience there was a room service bill that i have paid in cash registered as not paid and some one wrote my family on it as a signature with out me knowing and the reception took a very long time to agree to remove the amount from the bill and there wasnt any concern by the duty manager that my signature was duplicated by one of the staff and there way of apology was simply saying sorry we didn't mean it and i had to rush to the airport because they delayed me and i almost miss my flight November 3, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by lousiest hotel ever the internet access is limited and regulation is not clear. access to electric plugs is not good. even when available, they are under a frame, and my apple charger could fit NOWHERE. the room was not cleaned all day, and not until 16:00. and still, there was dust. the cleaners hang along the corridors making noises even behind doors with a 'quiet' sign. the lobby is regularly sprayed with artificial odors that are unhealthy. the shower and tap work at the same time, and water is waisted. Rated 3 out of 5 by decent, close to the airport but not the best option staff is friendly and do their best with the resources available to them. However, it seems as if they don't have a way of making things better if they don't have the support. I was disappointed to the fact my room didn't have a working fridge and for as long as I complained to management, the answer was an apology instead of bringing a working unit to my room!! Internet was not working for several hours one of the days. Additionally, the area where the hotel is located is not the best option in Dubai (very old). April 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noise Although my room was on the 4th floor, I couldn't sleep before 3 am as the music from the night club was so loud that it was heard in the room. I contacted reception to complain about that, their answer was the music goes on till 3 am!! Either they have to make better sound proofing or stop the music earlier. People need to wake up and work in the morning, for that a quiet sleep is essential. It is a pity to see that double glazing prevents noise from the outside, but the noise comes from the inside! Rated 3 out of 5 by SPG or criminal? This hotel is 'tired', in its room decor and facade. However the worst is saved till last when you check out and before your account is processed someone is called to go and check you mini bar contents even after you've said it hasn't been touched and despite the fact I've been an SPG member for 12 years thus there is a long history of my not abusing minibars, plus they already have my CC details on file - so much for being a Starwood 'Preferred' Guest! Rated 1 out of 5 by Room Comfort The room temperature and airconditioning was below par and the temperature of the air con was set at 26 degrees and couldnt be changed higher or lower causing suffocation and warmth in the room . The bathroom was old designed and quality of towels were literally worn down totally unlike a Sheraton property. March 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Room not clean well from housekeeping and not help for iron table .. April 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by service and confort i am an SPG member and flying only at SPG - i never experience such a poor service at a starwood hotel - i had no hpot water in my room - the mini bar was locked and no key facility to open it - the cleanning of the room was unsatisfactory - the corridor tomhave acess to the room was very dirty and with some pieces of carpet everywhere - it was smelling glue etc... i am very disapointed about the level of this hotel and will never experience it again.. Rated 4 out of 5 by Too Noisy The room is clean, but it's too noisy, because it's too near to the airport. April 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poorly maintained, awful internet This hotel is conveniently located, close to the airport. Some might find the aircraft noise a problem - yes, it's there, but I didn't find it any issue at all. However, hotel is poorly maintained. Blocked drains, non-smoking floor smells of smoke, lobby smells of smoke, obvious faults around the hotel go uncorrected. Internet constantly drops out after 10-30 minutes, so does not stay on-line overnight. My recommendation - stay somewhere else. Sorry. January 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Memorable stay I came with my family for leasure and the hotel managed to give us 3 rooms next to each other which was very comfortable for us during the whole stay. Front Desk staff are very helpful and friendly. I would like to thank Mr. Faisal and Yaseen and Arun who made up my stay memorable. Restaurant staff are also very helpful and they used to reserve us a big table for me and my family even though it was very busy. February 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by “A letter to hotel management Dear team// Mr. Waller Thank you for your valuable time and patience, it was clear how passionate you are of your job and the hotel. For the moment we can park with no issues I wanted to express my appreciation for the superior service that i received from you and deserve a great deal of praise for your excellent customer service I Thank You all from bottom of my heart. I will definitely be staying with the Hotel again. Best Regards March 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sheraton Every thing is nice only one thing the Team member at the front desk Mr.Zahir is not good and as well bell desk people are not help full April 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Noise We were in a room where the noise from the neighboring building site went on almost 24 hours a day. On the final day we felt the need to leave the Hotel and go and sit in the airport for a long period rather than endure the noise levels any longer. We had one room change and felt another would be too much to ask for. I feel that the Hotel should have made us aware of the noise levels and made some concessions like a rebate of a least one nights accommodation fees. The breakfast became a bit boring after the third day not very much variety and some of the staff looked bored. The tea was from a thermos and not hot enough and the coffee was not easy to drink. Unfortunately we were not happy in this hotel. I must say that the staff on reception and the concierge were exceptional. So it would be appreciated if I could get a credit in some way for the noise in-particular. August 30, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by no SPG recongnition the only upgrade they will offer you is with money. nothing as an SPG member, other than an excuse that they are fully booked. April 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This hotel needs to do something about the discotheque noise I've been coming to the hotel for years. I had heard of the noise coming from a discotheque from colleagues who had stayed but never had experienced it myself. Until this stay. The constant thumping lasted until late at night (early in the morning). Never mind that I did not ask to be moved. How can a hotel continue to charge guests if this problem persists year in and year out? December 13, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Complain During 3 nights staying at the hotel only 1 night I could sleep . the other 2 nights were very noisy either from the disco club or from the other rooms. March 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by not client oriented hotel 1 had to change 2 times my bedroom because of to noisy condition. After my first warning, i was expecting from your hotel to be transfered in a proper bedroom in order to rest quietly. This was not the case and it was my worst experience in an hotel in Dubai.
