This is my third stay at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill and it is rapidly becoming my favorite hotel anywhere. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels and the Walkerhill is definitely one of the best. It is an “older” hotel that retains an “art-deco” sort of feel (which is great) but is still very modern with every amenity you could want.
The staff is just great: very attentive and friendly without being overbearing.
The Walkerhill has everything (Casino, duty-free shops, Theater, great restaurants) but my favorite features are the hiking trails a short distance down the road.
Yes, I highly recommend this hotel.

The re-designed rooms are not suitable for multi-person stays of more tha one day duration as there is no storage space for clthes or suitcases. It was only when moved to a room which had not yet been modernised that the stay became acceptable.
Food and drink are charged at excessive prices (I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and appreciate that a mark-up is normal practice).
Guests at the hotel are unable to make use of the outdoor pool without paying a substantial additional cost.

Terrible bed - as as usual. This is typical problem and there is a relation: more expensive hotel - worse bed. Another problem: very noisy fan of air condition.
But anyway, I was very content to stay there and the most impresing thing was the swimming pool. Than you.

The hotel is comfortable, good rooms, clean.
The prices of the restaurants/bars are too high for the quality offered.

Hotel is quite OK, in an exclusive environment. Hotel not too far from food by shuttle.
Food and meals in the hotel way too expensive. Buffet food quality does not justify the very high price.

I've recently started staying at the Sheraton Walkerhill when I come to Seoul. Since the Summer of 2011 I've logged in over 10 nights and I think this hotel is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
As a Platinum member, they offer a buffet breakfast as well as a pretty decent evening service of snacks and wine.
The location is great for me, near a pretty large duty free mall and a Casino! The atmosphere is a generally sophisticated and trendy but all the staff are all very friendly and speak acceptable english. The 17th floor reception staff are exceptionally friendly and have been always very nice to me!
The prices are so-so, but you get what you pay for. I suggest for all first time vistors to start from here as the staff can really assist in the process of introducing you to the many faces of Seoul.
This hotel meets and exceeds category 4 expectations!

Things we liked:
Exceptional service and attitude from all staff. Great smiles from everyone from the bell attendant to the housekeeping staff.
The rooms are very clean and have great views.
Nice trail for those who like the fresh air and outdoors.
Things that could use a little improvement:
The shuttle services are very convenient, but should run for longer hours as the hotel is located far to the east of the city.
Rooms are smaller than what is expected from a Sheraton Hotel. The bed occupied the bigger part of the room.
Very awkward bathroom design. Should just knock down the toilet wall and have one big sliding door.

I made my reservation throughout SPG official homepage for my stay a couple days ago.
In comparion to see the actual room picture, I searched both SPG homepage and Sheraton Grande Walkerhill homepage.
However, listed names of the same room type in each of homepages are differently named, which was making me confused.
I would be better to make it common to help customers who to see via home pages.
Except this confusion, everything was perfect, so nice staffs, who did care my 2 year old child with sincerity and kindness and helping me to find comfortable environment prior to check in for a couple of hours waiting.
Especially the atmosphere surrounding Douglas was giving me perfect relaxation with fresh air and nice walkaways nearby.
I hope to be in same room in near future.
