Rated 3 out of 5 by RollTide Great Hotel, Horrible Internet
The staff, the room, the gym and the lounge are all top notch. The beds are very comfortable and I always get room upgrades. The drawback, and it is a show-stopper for me, is the internet. The internet, when it would stay connected, is painfully slow. The internet outweighs everything else in a hotel for my particular needs. I will not stay here in the future. I hoped they would fix this, but it seems to be even worse.

Rated 2 out of 5 by radsDC Not truly pet-friendly despite its claim
When we found this hotel located conveniently in the Crystal City area with great access to the metro and good position for trips to our favorite places in NOVA, we thought we truly lucked out after we spoke on the phone and were assured that it was pet-friendly. Assuredly, it was not in fact so. The room was well-appointed and met our expectations. Even though we indicated in advance on our booking that we were bringing our dog, we were placed on a floor that technically was not dog-friendly. Contrary to the claims online, no dog amenities were provided on check-in. But this alone would not make for a negative experience. Our dog (a tiny dog with a miniature voice) barked for not more than five minutes when a neighbor slammed their door shut. About ten minutes later, we received an admonishing phone call from the hotel staff that a neighbor had complained about our dog while providing no way of rectifying the situation (e.g. moving us to a dog-friendly floor or vice versa). The morning of our checkout not more than five minutes after we moved some of our items to the car, we received a similar phone call during the late morning. If this Sheraton is to truly attempt to market itself to dog-lovers, it needs to provide better service rather than derision to guests with canine companions. Lastly, a $5 food voucher provided to us for opting for the Green policy of not having new sheets was a nice touch, but still basic housekeeping service such as changing the trash and vacuuming should be provided. Also, an actual means of spending this voucher would have been nice on our day of checkout.
In short, there was such potential for a great stay in a strategic location with decent amenities but fell well-short of being pet-friendly or even pet-tolerant.

Room rates are cheap here which is the reason I chose it. The hotel is dreadfully old and the rooms could use an upgrade although the beds were really comfortable.
The hotel is close to Metro stop which is nice because there is nothing to do where the hotel is located.
There was no one to help me to check in in the SPG line when I got there so I had to wait in line with everyone else.
Otherwise it was a nice stay and I got to rack up a bunch of Green Choice points.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tom76 Very Nice hotel
Staff was great. Very convenient. Good amenities.
My gripe is the staff didn't point out the green program. I thought I was participating, but I didn't realize I needed to place the notice on my door each day. I was frustrated with that. I should have read it over closer I know.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great for guests visiting Arlington and all of DC! Right across the street from the metro, safe area, lots of shopping and dining options, affordable, great fitness area, wonderful staff!!

I have one huge complaint about this hotel concerning the obvious removal of the Fox News Channel from the TV coverage in the rooms. I've stayed at this hotel many times without any problems and then all of a sudden management decides they should drop the number one rated news network because it must not agree with their political views. I will not be back.

Rated 2 out of 5 by pat1 disapointing
I have stayed here before in Octobert 2012 and had a good experience, this time however it was not! Starting when I arrived Friday afternoon around 4pm, there was no place to park to check in, the gentleman that was directing traffic out front had me move twice to allow cabs and other vehicle to drive thru, this was all in the matter of a few moments, finally I asked why I couldn't just park in the garage since i was checking in, he agreed that would be a good solution! Then Saturday morning at breakfast it was less than satisfactory, we did the buffet but had few choices and this was early before 10AM, paid alot for a little!!! So Sunday we asked to order from the menu, the staff clearly was not happy with that choice because they gave us a menu then forgot about us for > 20 minutes, finally we got up went to seek out food and beverage mgr, NONE available, so we took our complaint to the front desk. We ended up checking out and driving somewhere else for breakfast before getting on the road home!!!! NOT HAPPY with the service provided on this trip won't stay here again, there is another Sheraton just up the hill from the Pentagon, last time we stayed there the resturant was great will try them next time or just go to a different chain, there is plenty to choose from.
