I thought I was going for a nice weekend getaway but it was a nightmare. They allow pets in the hotel, so the dogs barked all night. Person sleeping in the next room could be heard in ours snoring. The toilet wasn't flushing. I called twice in order for them to send someone to fix it, to which it never was fixed, but instead got worse. I lost my ring and forgot my phone charger, when i called the front desk they connected me to lost and found, an automated machine which promised to get back to us by 24 hours, I am still waiting for them to return my call. I called twice. Unlike other hotels, Sheraton wont even put a bottle of water in the room. There was so much noise in the hallway from other guests and children. People who came for a wedding were going around rooms making noise for others. The towels looked like rugs. They were worn out. Very disappointed! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Three words, excellent customer service. We held our 2 day meeting here in November 2013. Tim, from the Banquets Dept is TOP NOTCH. He and his crew went the extra mile for us. Tim did everything possible to make our meeting a success. He went above and beyond the duty. If you are looking for a place that will take care of your needs and then some - work with Tim and you wont regret it.

I tried this hotel again .... should not have
room had broken drywall, phones didn't work, bathroom smelt musty and this was on the Club Level!
Used my personal phone to call for maintenance on the room phones, was promised they would be fixed by noon the next day ... maintenance never came.
lights were unplugged from the walls
Bar food was good - but the staff was in a hurry to get us out so they could go home ... order was slightly messed up
Breakfast was HORRIBLE. poor quality, poor service. dirty uniforms on servers and cook staff

It's an average Sheraton hotel, but it has a great location in terms of public transportation with a few stops away from the smithsonian using Metro. The station is less than a block away. But the area itself is a little sterile ,and characterless, which is pretty much dead on weekends and weeknights. It does charge you parking fee for overnight parking which was quite steep, so if you can get away without having a car it will be better considering that it also a stop away from DCA using Metro

Rated 1 out of 5 by Adam24 No heat
The hotel had no hot water and the public areas were extremely cold. Hotel staff responded by offering free breakfast tickets. Unfortunately, the breakfast (both the quality of what was offered and the the value itself) did not come close to the total discomfort of having no hot water and no heat.

Room rates are cheap here which is the reason I chose it. The hotel is dreadfully old and the rooms could use an upgrade although the beds were really comfortable.
The hotel is close to Metro stop which is nice because there is nothing to do where the hotel is located.
There was no one to help me to check in in the SPG line when I got there so I had to wait in line with everyone else.
Otherwise it was a nice stay and I got to rack up a bunch of Green Choice points.

I have one huge complaint about this hotel concerning the obvious removal of the Fox News Channel from the TV coverage in the rooms. I've stayed at this hotel many times without any problems and then all of a sudden management decides they should drop the number one rated news network because it must not agree with their political views. I will not be back.
