Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel under remodeling I've been to this hotel before on business and expected a bit more than I got. There was extensive remodeling in the lobby. But I didn't expect it to extend to the rooms. On the two afternoons I was there, when I tried to take a nap, the noise of power tools was so loud in my room I couldn't sleep--and I was on the 7th floor! A friend down the hall on the same floor had the same problem. Also, WiFi service was very "iffy". Their server subscription expired at 0500 in the morning and by 1100 it was still out, so passwords couldn't be validated or WiFi services accessed! Staff response left much to be desired. Rated 3 out of 5 by Many of the features are very good. Our only complaints are about our room. We were given a room for "handicapped" but found the room very inadequate. There was very little space for putting our personal items even though we packed very lightly. Our main problem was with the bathroom. One of us came very close to falling headfirst on the bathroom floor because of the "uphill design" of the tile. Both of us had to hold on very carefully to the wall or the edge of the countertop each time we used the bathroom and even with that we were both very nervous each time we walked on that floor. Rated 4 out of 5 by Smoking in a non-smoking hotel... Tonight, I had the unpleasant experience of smelling cigarette smoke in my room. I contacted the front desk and they offered to move me to another room. It was 11:30pm! I told them I didn't want to be inconvenienced, I wanted them to find out who was smoking and take care of it. I was contacted by officer (who knows) of loss prevention who informed me he could not do anything about it unless he saw the smoker with his own eyes! Hello? This is a non-smoking hotel! Find the person violating your policy and do something about it! April 10, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Stay Recently stayed at this hotel for Red Bull Air Race weekend in Dallas/Fort Worth the first weekend of September. First greeted and checked in by Anthony Gammon. Outstanding! Guest Experience and Customer Service superstar right here. Secondly, a delightful Orelia (in housekeeping) attended to our needs during our stay. What a delightful lady with passion for her work and service. An excellent overall stay. Would definitely return when in Dallas/Fort Worth area. Location of hotel is perfectly placed in the middle of both, with Irving shopping and restaurants just around the corner. Well done & Thank You!
