Location of the hotel - overlooking the river and falls is great! Restaurant and food was very good - and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were a LOT of people arriving - just before the Republican convention nearby - and we were just passing through - moving across country - but the staff and facilities were easily able to handle the crowds and we were relaxed and really enjoyed the beautiful place. definitely recommend it.

The room was nice and roomy. The central air went out and when called guest service the night of the 10th would not checknit they just brought fans which did not help. I called the guest service the following morning and they repair guy came and fixed the air and also stated he was still there when I called the night befor so it was not a comfy stay due to that air

Amazing staff and excellent responsiveness to our circumstances . We used our reward points to book two rooms as a treat and a good nights rest for my siblings. After traveling two days we were all looking forward to a good nights sleep. The hotel was well appointed and on the river and had under gone a major renovation in the lobby and a good percentage of the rooms. When I booked the rooms I read the reviews and they were mixed mostly due to the renovation process but there were many glowing reviews of the staff when issues arose as in our case. Our room was lovely and comfortable with well appointed seating and living spaces however, on this hot August night, the air conditioning although it was working, was very sluggish and it never really cooled the room. That wasn't a huge issue for me by itself as we live in Florida and that happens sometimes. However, about 2 am, a car which was parked directly under our window as our room faced the street, the alarm went off on on for a period of around two hours or more. Needless to say,we had a very tense , restless night. I normally do not complain and I realize that issues outside of the hotel may be out of their control but our quality of sleep was affected and we spent a lot of points on the two rooms . I called down to the guest services and Megan was great and apologetic. She offered us vouchers for breakfast buffet for our party if four and told me that I could speak with Elizabeth, the manager, when she got in. Elizabeth was gracious and wanted us to have a good experience at the Akron hotel so she told me that some points would be added back into our Starwood account within 10 days. We were very pleased at the number of points added back into the account. I rated this hotel stay as a good one because even though there were a couple of major issues, like we find in just living life, the way the staff all responded was amazing and that is what makes one want to come back.

I've stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last two months
I usually make my reservations weeks in advance but sometimes I'm ask to travel for my job at last minute.
This was the case this week and because I always stay here I came directly here after work to check in and the girl at the front desk informed me that I didn't have a reservation. I was devistated thinking where am I going to stay at the last minute. However the girl ( I wish I would have gotten her name) said no problem we have rooms available and even gave me an upgrade for the rate my company usually pays. It was Monday Aug 22nd around 6:00 p.m. When I checked in. I just want to thank this girl for making this weary travelers day! Truly Thanks!

I highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Complimentary Starbucks coffee served daily in rooms as well as free bottles of water for preferred guests. Wish I could have spent more time here to enjoy the restaurant and bar area.

This hotel has a beautiful location on the river and we like the sliding bedroom doors for having kids in main room area. However, we experienced many issues in our short stay: the desk chair had all sorts of pieces falling off of it and looked like it should literally be thrown away. We couldn't believe they were using it in the room. They didn't have enough towels in the room. There was no bathtub stopper to use the bathtub. We ordered a cot which we had to pay extra for and they forgot a pillow and blanket. We ordered room service a couple times and they forgot place settings and utensils and then didn't include any jam with eggs and toast and said that never comes unless you ask for it. Overall didn't meet our expectations and was a letdown. Wouldn't stay there again.

I absolutely loved this hotel! I invited my family all 10 to the Sunday brunch and we sat by the window in view of the rocky creek.! Just gorgeous! The food was great the hotel was awesome and the pool and hot tub kept me in shape and relaxed! Very clean rooms and room service menu and food was convenient and fabulous!!!
